Exploring the compatibility theory of traditional Chinese medicine formulae:the disassembled prescriptions study

Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has become very popular in the treatment of complex diseases worldwide in recent decades.Despite the promising performance of TCM,how herbs work synergistically in a formula and their therapeutic targets remain ambiguous.This largely limits the correct use and modernization of TCM formulas clinically.The study of disassembled prescriptions is important for investigating the compatibility theory of Chinese medicines.By dissecting the mechanisms of TCM formulae,the compatibility principles of some well-known formulae,such as Realgar-Indigo naturalis,have been elucidated to a certain extent.In this review,several common methods of disassembled prescription studies are summarized,including those of single herb or mineral,sub-prescription,active ingredients or effective parts,large formulae,and systems pharmacology studies,as well as the methods of grouping based on the properties or efficacy of Chinese medicines,in order to provide evidence for formulae study.Moreover,some challenges to be addressed in disassembled prescriptions studies have been identified in this review.

Anderson's Cognitive Theory and Learning Strategy Studies in Second Language Acquisition

Second language acquisition can not be understood without addressing the interaction between language and cognition. Cognitive theory can extend to describe learning strategies as complex cognitive skills. Theoretical developments in Anderson’s production systems cover a broader range of behavior than other theories, including comprehension and production of oral and written texts as well as comprehension, problem solving, and verbal learning.Thus Anderson’s cognitive theory can be served as a rationale for learning strategy studies in second language acquisition.

A comparative investigation of an AB- and AA-stacked bilayer graphene sheet under an applied electric field:A density functional theory study

An AB-and AA-stacked bilayer graphene sheet （BLG） under an electric field is investigated by ab initio calculation. The interlayer distance between the two layers, band structures, and atomic charges of the system are investigated in the presence of different electric fields normal to the BLG. The AB-stacked BLG is able to tune the bandgap into 0.234 eV with the increase of the external electronic field to 1 V/nm, however, the AA-stacked BLG is not sensitive to the external electric field. In both the cases, the spacing between the BLG slightly change in terms of the electric field. The charges in the AB-stacked BLG are increased with the increase of the electric field, which is considered to be the reason that causes the bandgap opening in the AB-stacked BLG.

The Theory Study of the Influence of the Topography on the Cold Frontal Motion

In order to study the characteristics of cold frontal motion over the arbitrary topography, the velocity of cold frontal movement is derived by using the one layer shallow-water model. The results show that there exist the retardation in upwind side and rapid descent in the lee slope when the cold front crosses the topography.

Comparative study of different theories on active earth pressure

Determination of distribution and magnitude of active earth pressure is crucial in retaining wall designs.A number of analytical theories on active earth pressure were presented.Yet,there are limited studies on comparison between the theories.In this work,comparison between the theories with finite element analysis is done using the PLAXIS software.The comparative results show that in terms of distribution and magnitude of active earth pressure,RANKINE's theory possesses the highest match to the PLAXIS analysis.Parametric studies were also done to study the responses of active earth pressure distribution to varying parameters.Increasing soil friction angle and wall friction causes decrease in active earth pressure.In contrast,active earth pressure increases with increasing soil unit weight and height of wall.RANKINE's theory has the highest compatibility to finite element analysis among all theories,and utilization of this theory leads to proficient retaining wall design.

Adaptive Smoothing Method Based on Fuzzy Theory Study and Realization

In this paper, we study about a method to optimize the fused track quality in intelligence network of radar target fusion system, considering the role of people in the fusion system;we start to find ways to optimize the quality of the fused track, and adaptive smoothing method is proposed based on fuzzy theory. Tests show that this method can greatly improve the quality of the fused track system for battlefield reconnaissance provides high-quality, high-reliability battlefield.

An Analysis Into Ba Sentences Under Image Schema Theory——A Case Study of Words of Fire——Poems by Jidi Majia

The Ba sentence is unique existence in Chinese. There is no corresponding sentence pattern in English. Thus, the translation of Ba sentences is a challenge for translators. Even with the myriad analyses on the translation of Ba sentences, small quantity of them demonstrates the correctness and the reading effect of the translation by using a specific theory. And the image schema theory reflects the projects between the source domain and the target domain, while in the translation analysis there are schemata in the source language and the target language. So the paper does comparisons of schemata between the source text and the target text of Ba sentences, which are chosen from the English translation of Words of Fire—Poems by Jidi Majia translated by Denis Mair. After the demonstration, the following conclusions are found: First, the schema of the sentence is decided by verbs of the Ba sentences, rather than by the sentence structures;second, the image schema is a feasible tool to check correctness of Ba sentences translation.

Relevance Theory-based Cognitive Study on the Communication Effect of “China's Stories”

Telling the story of China and transmitting the voice of China has become a strategy to promote the national image and cultural soft power of China. Since its implementation in 2013, China has ushered in a significant change in communication ideas and approaches. This strategy also enriches the communication genres of "China's stories" and more importantly enhances its communication effect. In this context, it is necessary to understand and study the significance of this strategic practice, assess the value realization of "China's stories" during the communication process, and thereby establish a basis for future communication of more "China's stories." Based on the factors of relevance theory, this paper analyzes the ideas of and approaches to effective communication of "China's stories" and proposes corresponding strategies.

China’s Minnowbrook Conference: The Review of “Chinese Theories, Chinese Stories and Chinese Solutions” Initiated by China Case Study Journal Alliance

On March 24th,2021,with the initiative of the Chinese government and the promotion of well-known scholars in public administration,the(qualitative)case study seminar of Tsinghua University initiated the case study movement.The Case Study Seminar of Young Scholars was also held on November 16th 2021,and the Case Study Seminar of the Case Center of the Ministry of Education was held on November 17th 2021.If the three Minnowbrook Conferences of the United States were of epoch-making significance to the transformation of the paradigm of public administration theories and practices,then the three conferences also have the epoch-making significance of the paradigm transformation of case studies of public administration in China.Under the background of great changes in the global power contrast and profound reform in China,this review paper tries to use the interpretation and interpretation of critical discourse,especially to explain the Chinese theories which are in-depth,refined and transformed by the case study method of Chinese stories,and the Chinese solutions plausible for Chinese theories.In view of the diversity and complexity of Chinese theories and Chinese solutions,this paper mainly focuses on the realization of Chinese theoretical construction and the formulation of Chinese solutions through the discourse interpretation of Chinese case propositions.

Comparative Study on Lin Yutang’s Translation Principle and Skopos Theory’s Three Rules of Translation

An review of the similarities and disparities on the ideas of translation between Lin Yutang’s translation principle and German Functional School’s Skopos Theory finds that,for the three rules in both theories,two rules which involve fidelity and smoothness/coherence share some similarities.Though both Lin and Skopos Theory argue that fidelity and smoothness/coher?ence are significant indicators for translation,their focus and priority are not identical.Lin stresses the importance of beauty while Skopos Theory focuses on the skopos of the translation.Lin’s translation rules are more suitable for literature translation,while Skopos Theory is more popular among those who conduct instrumental translation and documentary translation.

总体国家安全观视域下的国家安全学理论研究十年回眸

中国学界对国家安全学理论的研究可以追溯到20世纪90年代。2014年总体国家安全观提出以后,国家安全学理论研究有了根本遵循,标志着国家安全学理论研究进入新时代。2024年,在总体国家安全观提出十周年之际,中国学界对国家安全学理论的研究,形成了以总体国家安全观研究为先导、加快国家安全学及其学科理论研究和推进中国本土化国家安全学自主理论体系探究的新格局。总体国家安全观内涵不断丰富和深化,国家安全学研究对象和学科定位日益清晰明确,国家安全学理论本土化进一步彰显,国家安全学理论构建日趋完善,国家安全学一级学科建设稳步推进。虽然国家安全学一级学科建设起步较晚,国家安全学理论研究存在一些短板,但当今世界之变、时代之变和历史之变的步伐逐渐加快,中国面临的安全挑战前所未有,需要国家安全学理论研究有所作为,作出应有的历史贡献。为此,中国学界需要做“深”国家安全学基础理论研究,拓展国家安全学理论研究的厚度和深度;做“专”领域国家安全学理论研究,强化国家安全学理论研究的广度;做“强”工具国家安全学理论研究,凸显国家安全学理论研究的实效性。
