BACKGROUND Stroke is the leading cause of adult lifelong disability worldwide.A stroke is an acute cerebrovascular disease with a variety of causes and corresponding clinical symptoms.Around 75%of surviving stroke pat...BACKGROUND Stroke is the leading cause of adult lifelong disability worldwide.A stroke is an acute cerebrovascular disease with a variety of causes and corresponding clinical symptoms.Around 75%of surviving stroke patients experience impaired nerve function,and some suffer from traumatic fractures,which can lead to special care needs.AIM To determine the effect of timing theory continuous care,with resistance training,on the rehabilitation and mental health of caregivers and stroke patients with traumatic fractures.METHODS Between January 2017 to March 2021,we selected 100 hospital admissions with post-stroke hemiplegia complicated with a traumatic fracture.Two participant groups were created:(1)Control group:given resistance training;and(2)Observation group:given timing theory continuous care combined with resistance training.The degree of satisfaction and differences in bone and phosphorus metabolism indexes between the two groups were compared.The self-perceived burden scale(SPBS)and caregiver burden questionnaire were used to evaluate the psychological health of patients and caregivers.The Harris hip function score,ability of daily living(ADL)scale,and global quality of life questionnaire(GQOL-74)were used to evaluate hip function,ability of daily living,and quality of life.RESULTS Data were collected prior to and after intervention.Alkaline phosphatase(ALP),osteocalcin,and vitamin D3 in the observation group and control group increased after intervention(P<0.05),and carboxy-terminal peptide of type I collagenβSpecial sequence(β-CTX)decreased(P<0.05).ALP and osteocalcin in the observation group were higher than in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference inβ-CTX and vitamin D3 between the two groups(P>0.05).The SPBS score of the observation group was lower and the ADL score was higher than the control group.The burden score was lower and the Harris hip function and GQOL-74 scores were higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The observation group’s satisfaction rating was 94.00%,which was higher than the rating from the control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Timing theory continuous nursing with resistance training can reduce hip dysfunction in stroke patients with a traumatic fracture and enhance quality of life and mental health of patients and caregivers.展开更多
Fatigue failure is a common failure mode under the action of cyclic loads in engineering applications,which often occurs with no obvious signal.The maximum structural stress is far below the allowable stress when the ...Fatigue failure is a common failure mode under the action of cyclic loads in engineering applications,which often occurs with no obvious signal.The maximum structural stress is far below the allowable stress when the structures are damaged.Aiming at the lightweight structure,fatigue topology optimization design is investigated to avoid the occurrence of fatigue failure in the structural conceptual design beforehand.Firstly,the fatigue life is expressed by topology variables and the fatigue life filter function.The continuum fatigue optimization model is established with the independent continuous mapping(ICM)method.Secondly,fatigue life constraints are transformed to distortion energy constraints explicitly by taking advantage of the distortion energy theory.Thirdly,the optimization formulation is solved by the dual sequence quadratic programming(DSQP).And the design scheme of lightweight structure considering the fatigue characteristics is obtained.Finally,numerical examples illustrate the practicality and effectiveness of the fatigue optimization method.This method further expands the theoretical application of the ICM method and provides a novel approach for the fatigue optimization problem.展开更多

Then the steps of dynamic Bayesian estimation were given in detail. In this study,the micro-failure process and failure mechanism of a typical brittle rock under uniaxial compression are investigated via continuous real-time measurement of wave velocities.The experimental results indi...In this study,the micro-failure process and failure mechanism of a typical brittle rock under uniaxial compression are investigated via continuous real-time measurement of wave velocities.The experimental results indicate that the evolutions of wave velocities became progressively anisotropic under uniaxial loading due to the direction-dependent development of micro-damage.A wave velocity model considering the inner anisotropic crack evolution is proposed to accurately describe the variations of wave velocities during uniaxial compression testing.Based on which,the effective elastic parameters are inferred by a transverse isotropic constitutive model,and the evolutions of the crack density are inversed using a self-consistent damage model.It is found that the propagation of axial cracks dominates the failure process of brittle rock under uniaxial loading and oblique shear cracks develop with the appearance of macrocrack.展开更多

The purpose of this research is to study the effect of solute concentration (sodium chloride) on the stirrer speed in a CSTR. The experimental method used in this research is the stop watch and beaker method. The behavior pattern of the fluid in a CSTR can be experimentally verified as an alternative to the mathematical model. The tracer experiments were carried out. The effect of different parameters such as stirring speed, concentration at a steady time interval was analyzed. Experimental data obtained at 0.6 M and 160 rpm gave a curve that is in close agreement to that of theoretical or mathematical model. In other words, the results obtained at a concentration of 0.6 M and 160 rpm are in close agreement with that of early researchers. The paper is divided into five main sections: the first section immediately after the abstract is the introductory section that is basically a review of literature;the second section takes care of the materials and methods;the third section is the experimental procedure and this section takes the shut-down procedure and data processing into consideration;the fourth section is the discussion of experimental results and the last section is the conclusion of the paper.展开更多

Namely, when examining the evolution of entangled quantum objects according to fr...It is in general accepted that the concept of continuous trajectories for particles is at odds with the relativistic quantum mechanics. Namely, when examining the evolution of entangled quantum objects according to frames of coordinates in relative move-ment, one gets contradictory trajectories. Such a situation is typically derived from the famous “Hardy’s paradox”. However, it is argued here that if the rationale ignores the principle of quantum contextuality, as happens typically when using Hardy’s thought-experiment, the conclusion—rejection of the assumption of trajectories—is questionable. The issue is exemplified by an additional example: the 101 property of spin 1 bosons implies conflicting trajectories when the singlet state of two such bosons is examined according to frames in relative movement. It is concluded here that in the absence of a rationale which doesn’t violate the quantum contextuality, there are no sufficient arguments for refuting the possibility of a substructure of the quantum mechanics, consisting in particles following continuous trajectories.展开更多
This work presents the static and dynamic analyses of laminated doubly-curved shells and panels of revolution resting on Winkler-Pasternak elastic foundations using the Generalized Differential Quadrature (GDQ) method...This work presents the static and dynamic analyses of laminated doubly-curved shells and panels of revolution resting on Winkler-Pasternak elastic foundations using the Generalized Differential Quadrature (GDQ) method. The analyses are worked out considering the First-order Shear Deformation Theory (FSDT) for the above mentioned moderately thick structural elements. The effect of the shell curvatures is included from the beginning of the theory formulation in the kinematic model. The solutions are given in terms of generalized displacement components of points lying on the middle surface of the shell. Simple Rational Bézier curves are used to define the meridian curve of the revolution structures. The discretization of the system by means of the GDQ technique leads to a standard linear problem for the static analysis and to a standard linear eigenvalue problem for the dynamic analysis. Comparisons between the present formulation and the Reissner-Mindlin theory are presented. Furthermore, GDQ results are compared with those obtained by using commercial programs. Very good agreement is observed. Finally, new results are presented in order to investtigate the effects of the Winkler modulus, the Pasternak modulus and the inertia of the elastic foundation on the behavior of laminated shells of revolution.展开更多

While researchers of international relations have probed deeply into alliance theory in the past half century, current literature in this field can hardly explain the informal mechanism for Syria-Iran security cooperation. To unravel the puzzle, this paper attempts to put forward a new hypothesis: quasi-alliance. Based on an empirical study of Syria-Iran special relations in the past four decades, it reveals that quasi-alliance is a unique model for security cooperation in international arena paralleling with formal alliance, and its security arrangement has an unique logic, dynamics, mode of management and attributes. In the new framework of analysis, this paper touches down upon the origins, channels, features and tests of Syria-Iran quasi-alliance by focusing on the diplomatic history of their bilateral relations from 1979 to 2017. The bilateral quasi-alliance practice has undergone three stages of combating Iraqi aggression in 1980s, curbing Israel-Turkey axis in 1990s and balancing U.S.-Israel-Saudi-Turkey coalition in the 21st century, particularly since the outbreak of the Syrian civil war.展开更多

In order to obtain more reasona...It is being widely studied how to extract knowledge from a decision table based on rough set theory. The novel problem is how to discretize a decision table having continuous attribute. In order to obtain more reasonable discretization results, a discretization algorithm is proposed, which arranges half-global discretization based on the correlational coefficient of each continuous attribute while considering the uniqueness of rough set theory. When choosing heuristic information, stability is combined with rough entropy. In terms of stability, the possibility of classifying objects belonging to certain sub-interval of a given attribute into neighbor sub-intervals is minimized. By doing this, rational discrete intervals can be determined. Rough entropy is employed to decide the optimal cut-points while guaranteeing the consistency of the decision table after discretization. Thought of this algorithm is elaborated through Iris data and then some experiments by comparing outcomes of four discritized datasets are also given, which are calculated by the proposed algorithm and four other typical algorithras for discritization respectively. After that, classification rules are deduced and summarized through rough set based classifiers. Results show that the proposed discretization algorithm is able to generate optimal classification accuracy while minimizing the number of discrete intervals. It displays superiority especially when dealing with a decision table having a large attribute number.展开更多
Advancing the application of safety and health(S&H)technologies is likely to remain a value in the mining industry.However,any information that technologies generate must be translated from the organization to the...Advancing the application of safety and health(S&H)technologies is likely to remain a value in the mining industry.However,any information that technologies generate must be translated from the organization to the workforce in a targeted way to result in sustainable change.Using a case study approach with continuous personal dust monitors(CPDMs),this paper argues for an organizational focus on technology integration.Although CPDMs provide mineworkers with near real-time feedback about their respirable coal dust exposure,they do not ensure that workers or the organization will continuously use the information to learn about and reduce exposure sources.This study used self-determination theory(SDT)to help three mines manage and communicate about information learned from the CPDM technology.Specifically,35 mineworkers participated in two mixed-method data collection efforts to discuss why they do or do not use CPDMs to engage in dust-reducing practices.Subsequently,the data was analyzed to better understand how organizations can improve the integration of technology through their management systems.Results indicate that using the CPDM to reduce sources of dust exposure is consistent with mineworkers’self-values to protect their health and not necessarily because of compliance to a manager or mine.展开更多
In this study, we aim to understand the characteristics of online group-buying consumers and to investigate salient factors which influence the continuance intention of online group-buying platforms (OGBP) to bridge...In this study, we aim to understand the characteristics of online group-buying consumers and to investigate salient factors which influence the continuance intention of online group-buying platforms (OGBP) to bridge this knowledge gap. An expectation-confirmation model of information systems (IS) continuance is adapted to construct a research model in online group-buying contexts. A total of 289 complete and valid responses were collected. Our findings contribute to academics and practitioners in two ways: Firstly, our respondents show that they are young (93% of the respondents' ages range between 19 and 28 years old), female (88% of the respondents), and thrifty (82% of the respondents' transaction amounts are below US$16). Secondly, based on our results, price performance expectations have a direct impact on confirmation. In addition, in contrast to the IS continuance model (Bhattacherjee, 2001), the effect of perceived usefulness on satisfaction is not supported. Thus, in online group-buying settings, confirmation is the key antecedent of satisfaction. Satisfaction and perceived usefulness are significantly associated with OGBP continuance intention. Consequently, in addition to offering a wide assortment of merchandise and a convenient online shopping experience to enhance customers' perceived usefulness of OGBP, OGBP managers should aim low-price marketing strategies at this female, young, thrifty and price-sensitive segment to transcend consumers' price expectations and attract consumers' continued intention to visit OGBP.展开更多

It is concluded here that in the absence of a rationale which doesn’t violate the quantum contextuality, there are no sufficient arguments for refuting the possibility of a substructure of the quantum mechanics, consisting in particles following continuous trajectories.
文摘This work presents the static and dynamic analyses of laminated doubly-curved shells and panels of revolution resting on Winkler-Pasternak elastic foundations using the Generalized Differential Quadrature (GDQ) method. The analyses are worked out considering the First-order Shear Deformation Theory (FSDT) for the above mentioned moderately thick structural elements. The effect of the shell curvatures is included from the beginning of the theory formulation in the kinematic model. The solutions are given in terms of generalized displacement components of points lying on the middle surface of the shell. Simple Rational Bézier curves are used to define the meridian curve of the revolution structures. The discretization of the system by means of the GDQ technique leads to a standard linear problem for the static analysis and to a standard linear eigenvalue problem for the dynamic analysis. Comparisons between the present formulation and the Reissner-Mindlin theory are presented. Furthermore, GDQ results are compared with those obtained by using commercial programs. Very good agreement is observed. Finally, new results are presented in order to investtigate the effects of the Winkler modulus, the Pasternak modulus and the inertia of the elastic foundation on the behavior of laminated shells of revolution.
文摘Syria and Iran have formed a special relation in the past four decades. While researchers of international relations have probed deeply into alliance theory in the past half century, current literature in this field can hardly explain the informal mechanism for Syria-Iran security cooperation. To unravel the puzzle, this paper attempts to put forward a new hypothesis: quasi-alliance. Based on an empirical study of Syria-Iran special relations in the past four decades, it reveals that quasi-alliance is a unique model for security cooperation in international arena paralleling with formal alliance, and its security arrangement has an unique logic, dynamics, mode of management and attributes. In the new framework of analysis, this paper touches down upon the origins, channels, features and tests of Syria-Iran quasi-alliance by focusing on the diplomatic history of their bilateral relations from 1979 to 2017. The bilateral quasi-alliance practice has undergone three stages of combating Iraqi aggression in 1980s, curbing Israel-Turkey axis in 1990s and balancing U.S.-Israel-Saudi-Turkey coalition in the 21st century, particularly since the outbreak of the Syrian civil war.
文摘In order to identify continuous B-cell epitopes effectively and to increase the success rate of experimental identification, the modified Back Propagation artificial neural network (BP neural network) was used to predict the continuous B-cell epitopes, and finally the predictive model for the B-cells epitopes was established. Comparing with the other predictive models, the prediction performance of this model is more excellent (AUC = 0.723). For the purpose of verifying the performance of the model, the prediction to the SWISS PROT NUMBER: P08677 was carried on, and the satisfying results were obtained.

文摘The article seeks to examine the East Look Policy(ELP)in Iran’s Foreign Policy(IFP)(2005-2013).We believe that states,due to different factors,may adopt different policies in their FP.So,the main research question is:Why did Iranian state adopt ELP in its FP in duration of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad era?With regard to the question,our hypothesis is“there are some factors in Iran’s internal environment that we called them micro-level factors and some variable in external environment that we called them macro-level variables in formation of ELP in IFP”.To prove this hypothesis,we use James Rosenau’s foreign policy theory that has been stood on two micro-and macrolevel analysis to examination of FP of any state.Regarding Rosenau’s theory,there are four factors on micro-level include:individual of policy-maker,his/her role in political system,social values,and governmental structure.In addition,in macro-level,there are some variables,such as the logic of anarchy,the action of other states(especially US),and nuclear sanctions imposed by the US and Western nations.

文摘Seismic microzonation for Almaty city for the first time use probabilistic approach and hazard is expressed in terms of not only macroseismic intensity,but also Peak Ground Acceleration(PGA).To account for the effects of local soil conditions,the continual approach proposed by A.S.Aleshin[1,2]was used,in which soil coefficients are a function of the continuously changing seismic rigidity.Soil coefficients were calculated using the new data of geological and geophysical surveys and findings of previous geotechnical studies.The used approach made it possible to avoid using soil categories and a jump change in characteristics of soil conditions and seismic impact.The developed seismic microzonation maps are prepared for further introduction into the normative documents of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
文摘It is being widely studied how to extract knowledge from a decision table based on rough set theory. The novel problem is how to discretize a decision table having continuous attribute. In order to obtain more reasonable discretization results, a discretization algorithm is proposed, which arranges half-global discretization based on the correlational coefficient of each continuous attribute while considering the uniqueness of rough set theory. When choosing heuristic information, stability is combined with rough entropy. In terms of stability, the possibility of classifying objects belonging to certain sub-interval of a given attribute into neighbor sub-intervals is minimized. By doing this, rational discrete intervals can be determined. Rough entropy is employed to decide the optimal cut-points while guaranteeing the consistency of the decision table after discretization. Thought of this algorithm is elaborated through Iris data and then some experiments by comparing outcomes of four discritized datasets are also given, which are calculated by the proposed algorithm and four other typical algorithras for discritization respectively. After that, classification rules are deduced and summarized through rough set based classifiers. Results show that the proposed discretization algorithm is able to generate optimal classification accuracy while minimizing the number of discrete intervals. It displays superiority especially when dealing with a decision table having a large attribute number.
文摘Advancing the application of safety and health(S&H)technologies is likely to remain a value in the mining industry.However,any information that technologies generate must be translated from the organization to the workforce in a targeted way to result in sustainable change.Using a case study approach with continuous personal dust monitors(CPDMs),this paper argues for an organizational focus on technology integration.Although CPDMs provide mineworkers with near real-time feedback about their respirable coal dust exposure,they do not ensure that workers or the organization will continuously use the information to learn about and reduce exposure sources.This study used self-determination theory(SDT)to help three mines manage and communicate about information learned from the CPDM technology.Specifically,35 mineworkers participated in two mixed-method data collection efforts to discuss why they do or do not use CPDMs to engage in dust-reducing practices.Subsequently,the data was analyzed to better understand how organizations can improve the integration of technology through their management systems.Results indicate that using the CPDM to reduce sources of dust exposure is consistent with mineworkers’self-values to protect their health and not necessarily because of compliance to a manager or mine.
文摘In this study, we aim to understand the characteristics of online group-buying consumers and to investigate salient factors which influence the continuance intention of online group-buying platforms (OGBP) to bridge this knowledge gap. An expectation-confirmation model of information systems (IS) continuance is adapted to construct a research model in online group-buying contexts. A total of 289 complete and valid responses were collected. Our findings contribute to academics and practitioners in two ways: Firstly, our respondents show that they are young (93% of the respondents' ages range between 19 and 28 years old), female (88% of the respondents), and thrifty (82% of the respondents' transaction amounts are below US$16). Secondly, based on our results, price performance expectations have a direct impact on confirmation. In addition, in contrast to the IS continuance model (Bhattacherjee, 2001), the effect of perceived usefulness on satisfaction is not supported. Thus, in online group-buying settings, confirmation is the key antecedent of satisfaction. Satisfaction and perceived usefulness are significantly associated with OGBP continuance intention. Consequently, in addition to offering a wide assortment of merchandise and a convenient online shopping experience to enhance customers' perceived usefulness of OGBP, OGBP managers should aim low-price marketing strategies at this female, young, thrifty and price-sensitive segment to transcend consumers' price expectations and attract consumers' continued intention to visit OGBP.
