In order to cope with system uncertaintie...In this paper, a study of control for an uncertain2-degree of freedom(DOF) helicopter system is given. The2-DOF helicopter is subject to input deadzone and output constraints. In order to cope with system uncertainties and input deadzone, the neural network technique is introduced because of its capability in approximation. In order to update the weights of the neural network, an adaptive control method is utilized to improve the system adaptability. Furthermore, the integral barrier Lyapunov function(IBLF) is adopt in control design to guarantee the condition of output constraints and boundedness of the corresponding tracking errors. The Lyapunov direct method is applied in the control design to analyze system stability and convergence. Finally, numerical simulations are conducted to prove the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed control based on the model of Quanser's 2-DOF helicopter.展开更多
Compared with the study of single point motion of landslides,studying landslide block movement based on data from multiple monitoring points is of great significance for improving the accurate identification of landsl...Compared with the study of single point motion of landslides,studying landslide block movement based on data from multiple monitoring points is of great significance for improving the accurate identification of landslide deformation.Based on the study of landslide block,this paper regarded the landslide block as a rigid body in particle swarm optimization algorithm.The monitoring data were organized to achieve the optimal state of landslide block,and the 6-degree of freedom pose of the landslide block was calculated after the regularization.Based on the characteristics of data from multiple monitoring points of landslide blocks,a prediction equation for the motion state of landslide blocks was established.By using Kalman filtering data assimilation method,the parameters of prediction equation for landslide block motion state were adjusted to achieve the optimal prediction.This paper took the Baishuihe landslide in the Three Gorges reservoir area as the research object.Based on the block segmentation of the landslide,the monitoring data of the Baishuihe landslide block were organized,6-degree of freedom pose of block B was calculated,and the Kalman filtering data assimilation method was used to predict the landslide block movement.The research results showed that the proposed prediction method of the landslide movement state has good prediction accuracy and meets the expected goal.This paper provides a new research method and thinking angle to study the motion state of landslide block.展开更多
This study presents the development of an ultrasonic transducer with a radius horn for an ultrasonic milling spindle(UMS)system.The ultrasonic transducer was intended to have a working frequency of approximately 30 kH...This study presents the development of an ultrasonic transducer with a radius horn for an ultrasonic milling spindle(UMS)system.The ultrasonic transducer was intended to have a working frequency of approximately 30 kHz.Two different materials were considered in the study:stainless steel(SS 316L)and titanium alloy(Ti-6Al-4V).Titanium alloy gave a higher resonance frequency(33 kHz)than stainless steel(30 kHz)under the same preload compression stress.An electromechanical impedance simulation was carried out to predict the impedance resonance frequency for both materials,and the effect of the overhanging toolbar was investigated.According to the electromechanical impedance simulation,the overhanging toolbar length affected the resonance frequency,and the error was less than 3%.Harmonic analysis confirmed that the damping ratio helps determine the resonance amplitude.Therefore,damping ratios of 0.015-0.020 and 0.005-0.020 were selected for stainless steel and titanium alloy,respectively,with an error of less than 1.5%.Experimental machining was also performed to assess the feasibility of ultrasonic-assisted milling;the result was a lesser cutting force and better surface topography of Al 6061.展开更多
