The stable structures and electronic properties of AlCl, AlCl2 and AlCl3 adsorbed on Al4CO4, Al2CO and Al4C3 were calculated by first-principles calculations by the CASTEP module in the Materials Studio program. The results show that the AlCl3 and AlCl2 molecules have decomposed on the plane of Al4C3(001), while there are no obvious decomposition of AlCl3 and AlCl2 on Al4CO4(001) and Al2CO(001) planes. The adsorption of AlCl on the Al4CO4(001)and Al2CO(001) planes is stronger than that on the Al4C3(001) plane. The interaction strength of AlCl3, as well as AlCl2, with Al4CO4,Al2CO and Al4C3 is in the sequence of Al4CO4Al2CO〉Al4C3.展开更多

Rodents inhabiting arid environments need reliab...From an evolutionary point of view, reproduction timing is an important adaptation which enables the transfer of genetic properties, thus enabling species continuation. Rodents inhabiting arid environments need reliable cues for triggering their reproduction. Results of previous studies showed that increased dietary salinity plays an important role as an ultimate regulator for desert adapted rodents' reproductive system. The authors aimed discovering pathways by which high salinity can affect the reproductive system and metabolic status of desert adapted common spiny mice, Acomys cahirinus. Mice were challenged with osmotic stress, water source salinity increased gradually from 0.9% - 5% NaCI under short days (SD) and long days (LD). The authors assessed leptin and free fatty acid (FFA) levels using ELISA while, SYBR green technology was used for relative receptor expression (RQ) of target genes. Results revealed that serum levels of the hormone leptin were significantly (P 〈 0.05) reduced in salinity treated (ST) mice. Levels of FFA were significantly (P 〈 0.05) increased in LD- and SD-ST-males. In ST-SD females a significant increase (P 〈 0.05) in expression levels of leptin (Ob-Rt) mRNA receptor gene, in ovaries was noted. Aldosteron (Nr3c2) and vasopressin (AVP) mRNA receptor expression genes levels were significantly (P 〈 0.05) increased in both LD- and SD- ST- males.展开更多
C myc gene expression can be rapidly induced by IL 2 through intracellular signal transduction which is triggered by the interaction between IL 2 and its receptor (IL 2R). JAK3 which associates to the intracellular ...C myc gene expression can be rapidly induced by IL 2 through intracellular signal transduction which is triggered by the interaction between IL 2 and its receptor (IL 2R). JAK3 which associates to the intracellular domain of IL2R γ may play a critical role in this process. To reveal the action of JAK3 in c myc induction, a chimeric receptor gene IL2R α/γ/Δ NJAK3 is constructed which consists of extracellular domain derived from IL 2R α subunit (IL2R α), the transmembrane sequence derived from IL2R γ and the cytoplasmic domain derived from the catalytic domain of JAK3 (Δ NJAK3), and then transfected this chimeric gene into mouse fibroblast cell line L929 β which had been transfected with IL2R β gene and stably expressed IL2R β in high level. In the transfectants coexpressing IL2R β and α/γ/Δ NJAK3, the stimulation of IL2 could intensively induce c myc gene expression. Because the whole cytoplasmic domain of IL2R γ which could recruit signaling molecules was replaced by JAK3 and the c myc could be still induced by IL2 in this situation, the results here gave the direct evidence demonstrating that JAK3 plays an important role in c myc gene expression induced by IL2.展开更多
