Interest has recently emerged in potential applications of(n,2n)reactions of unstable nuclei.Challenges have arisen because of the scarcity of experimental cross-sectional data.This study aims to predict the(n,2n)reac...Interest has recently emerged in potential applications of(n,2n)reactions of unstable nuclei.Challenges have arisen because of the scarcity of experimental cross-sectional data.This study aims to predict the(n,2n)reaction cross-section of long-lived fission products based on a tensor model.This tensor model is an extension of the collaborative filtering algorithm used for nuclear data.It is based on tensor decomposition and completion to predict(n,2n)reaction cross-sections;the corresponding EXFOR data are applied as training data.The reliability of the proposed tensor model was validated by comparing the calculations with data from EXFOR and different databases.Predictions were made for long-lived fission products such as^(60)Co,^(79)Se,^(93)Zr,^(107)P,^(126)Sn,and^(137)Cs,which provide a predicted energy range to effectively transmute long-lived fission products into shorter-lived or less radioactive isotopes.This method could be a powerful tool for completing(n,2n)reaction cross-sectional data and shows the possibility of selective transmutation of nuclear waste.展开更多
Dyslipidemia is a disorder where abnormally lipid concentrations circulate in the bloodstream. The disorder is common in type 2 diabetics (T2D) and is linked with T2D comorbidities, particularly cardiovascular disease...Dyslipidemia is a disorder where abnormally lipid concentrations circulate in the bloodstream. The disorder is common in type 2 diabetics (T2D) and is linked with T2D comorbidities, particularly cardiovascular disease. Dyslipidemia in T2D is typically characterized by elevated plasma triglyceride and low high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) levels. There is a significant gap in the literature regarding dyslipidemia in rural parts of Africa, where lipid profiles may not be captured through routine surveillance. This study aimed to characterize the prevalence and demo-graphic profile of dyslipidemia in T2D in the rural community of Ganadougou, Mali. We performed a cross-sectional study of 104 subjects with T2D in Ganadougou between November 2021 and March 2022. Demographic and lipid profiles were collected through cross-sectional surveys and serological analyses. The overall prevalence of dyslipidemia in T2D patients was 87.5% (91/104), which did not differ by sex (P = .368). High low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) was the most common lipid abnormality (78.9%, [82/104]). Dyslipidemia was associated with age and hypertension status (P = .013 and.036, respectively). High total and high LDL-C parameters were significantly associated with hypertension (P = .029 and .006, respectively). In low-resource settings such as rural Mali, there is a critical need to improve infrastructure for routine dyslipidemia screening to guide its prevention and intervention approaches. The high rates of dyslipidemia observed in Gandadougou, consistent with concomitant increases in cardiovascular diseases in Africa suggest that lipid profile assessments should be incorporated into routine medical care for T2D patients in African rural settings.展开更多

With cross-sectional scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy, we clearly reveal the spatial-dependence or inhomogeneity of the superconducting gap structure of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ (Bi2212) and YBa2Cu3O7-x (YBCO) along their c-axes on a scale shorter than the interlayer spacing. By tunneling into the (100) plane of a Bi2212 single crystal and a YBCO film, we observe both U-shaped tunneling spectra with extended fiat zero-conductance bottoms, and V-shaped gap structures, in different regions of each sample. On the YBCO film, tunneling into a (110) surface only reveals a U-shaped gap without any zero-bias peak. Our analysis suggests that the U-shaped gap is likely a nodeless superconducting gap. The V-shaped gap has a very small amplitude, and is likely proximity-induced by regions having the larger U-shaped gap.展开更多

The measured cross-sections of the ^(150)Nd(n,2n)^(149)Nd,^(148)Nd(n,2n)^(147)Nd, and ^(142)Nd(n,2 n)^(141)Nd reactions were 1854 ± 81, 1789 ± 119, and 1559 ± 98 mb, respectively, at a neutron energy of 14.2 ± 0.2 MeV,and 1485 ± 74, 1726 ± 85, and 1670 ± 119 mb, respectively, at 14.9 ± 0.2 MeV. The results were compared with the experimental values from the reported literature, with the evaluated data from the ENDF/B-VII.1, CENDL-3.1, and JENDL-4.0 libraries, and with the curves calculated by the Talys-1.8 code.展开更多
The development of 3D structural composites with electromagnetic(EM)wave absorption could attenuate EM waves.Herein,magnetized flower-like Cu_(9)S_(5)/ZnFe_(2)O_(4)composites were fabricated through a multistep hydrot...The development of 3D structural composites with electromagnetic(EM)wave absorption could attenuate EM waves.Herein,magnetized flower-like Cu_(9)S_(5)/ZnFe_(2)O_(4)composites were fabricated through a multistep hydrothermal method.The crystallographic and surface phase chemical information,morphological structure,and magnetic and EM parameters of the composites were analyzed.The prepared Cu_(9)S_(5)/ZnFe_(2)O_(4)composites have multiple loss paths for EM waves and present an overall 3D flower-like structure.The Cu_(9)S_(5)/ZnFe_(2)O_(4)composites exhibit a minimum reflection loss of-54.38 dB and a broad effective absorption bandwidth of 5.92 GHz.Through magnetization,ZnFe_(2)O_(4)particles are self-assembled and grown on the surfaces of Cu_(9)S_(5).Such a modification is conducive to the generation of additional cross-linking contact sites and the effective introduction of a large number of phase interfaces,crystalline defects,special three-dimensional flower-like structures,and magneto-electrical coupling loss effects.Moreover,the synergistic effect of multiple loss strategies effectively improves EM wave absorption by the material.This work can provide a strategy for the use of magnetizationmodified sulfide composite functional materials in EM wave absorption.展开更多

In this study,we introduce our newly developed measurement-fed-perception self-adaption Low-cost UAV Coordinated Carbon Observation Network(LUCCN)prototype.The LUCCN primarily consists of two categories of instruments...In this study,we introduce our newly developed measurement-fed-perception self-adaption Low-cost UAV Coordinated Carbon Observation Network(LUCCN)prototype.The LUCCN primarily consists of two categories of instruments,including ground-based and UAV-based in-situ measurement.We use the GMP343,a low-cost non-dispersive infrared sensor,in both ground-based and UAV-based instruments.The first integrated measurement campaign took place in Shenzhen,China,4 May 2023.During the campaign,we found that LUCCN’s UAV component presented significant data-collecting advantages over its ground-based counterpart owing to the relatively high altitudes of the point emission sources,which was especially obvious at a gas power plant in Shenzhen.The emission flux was calculated by a crosssectional flux(CSF)method,the results of which differed from the Open-Data Inventory for Anthropogenic Carbon dioxide(ODIAC).The CSF result was slightly larger than others because of the low sampling rate of the whole emission cross section.The LUCCN system will be applied in future carbon monitoring campaigns to increase the spatiotemporal coverage of carbon emission information,especially in scenarios involving the detection of smaller-scale,rapidly varying sources and sinks.展开更多
The cross-sections of the 127I(n,2n)126I and 133Cs(n,2n)132Cs reactions at neutron energies of 13.83±0.05,14.33±0.10,and 14.79±0.10 MeV were measured relative to the 93Nb(n,2n)92mNb reaction using the a...The cross-sections of the 127I(n,2n)126I and 133Cs(n,2n)132Cs reactions at neutron energies of 13.83±0.05,14.33±0.10,and 14.79±0.10 MeV were measured relative to the 93Nb(n,2n)92mNb reaction using the activation technique in combination with off-lineγ-ray spectrometry.A neutron beam was generated from the T(d,n)4He reaction using the K-400 neutron generator at the China Academy of Engineering Physics.Considering the correlations between different attributes,detailed uncertainty propagation was performed using covariance analysis,and the cross-sections were reported with their uncertainties and correlation matrix.The uncertainty of the measurement cross-sections ranged from 4.84 to 5.90%,which is lower than previous experimental data.Furthermore,the theoretical excitation functions of the 127I(n,2n)126I and 133Cs(n,2n)132Cs reactions were calculated using the TALYS-1.95 and EMPIRE-3.2.3 codes.Then,the experimentally determined cross-sections were analyzed by comparing them with literature data available in the EXFOR database and evaluated nuclear data in the ENDF/B-VIII.0,JEFF-3.3,JENDL-5,BROND-3.1,CENDL-3.2,and TENDL-2021 databases.Compared with the values previously reported in the 13.8-14.8 MeV energy region,the precision of the results obtained in this study was greatly improved.The current experimental results with thorough uncertainties and covariance information are critical for verifying the reliability of the theoretical model and improving the quality of the nuclear database.展开更多

BACKGROUND Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease has become the most common chronic liver disease worldwide,which originates from the accumulation of triglyceride(TG)in the liver.Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2D...BACKGROUND Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease has become the most common chronic liver disease worldwide,which originates from the accumulation of triglyceride(TG)in the liver.Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)are considered to have a predisposition to hepatic steatosis.However,the influencing factors for hepatic fat accumulation in T2DM patients remain unclear.AIM To investigate the influencing factors for hepatic fat accumulation in T2DM patients.METHODS We enrolled 329 T2DM patients admitted to the Endocrinology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University,who underwent MR mDIXONQuant examination to quantify the hepatic fat fraction(HFF).According to body mass index(BMI),the patients were divided into normal weight,overweight,and obese groups.The differences in general statistics,biochemical parameters,islet function,and HFF were compared among the three groups.The associations between HFF and other parameters and the influences of various parameters on the severity of hepatic fat accumulation were analyzed.RESULTS The HFF of T2DM patients gradually increased in the normal weight,overweight,and obese groups(P<0.05).Spearman correlation analysis showed that in T2DM patients,HFF was negatively correlated with age and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(P<0.05),whereas it was positively correlated with BMI,waist-hip ratio,fasting plasma glucose,alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase,bilirubin,glutamyl transpeptidase,lactate dehydrogenase,albumin(ALB),uric acid(UA),total cholesterol,TG,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),C-reactive protein,free triiodothyronine,fasting insulin,fasting C-peptide,and homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance(P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis showed significant positive influences of BMI,ALT,LDL-C,UA,and ALB on HFF in T2DM patients(P<0.05).Binary logistic regression analysis showed that BMI,ALT,ALB,and LDL-C were independent risk factors for moderate to severe fatty liver in T2DM patients,and obesity increased the risk of being complicated with moderate to severe fatty liver by 4.03 times(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The HFF of T2DM patients increases with BMI.Higher BMI,ALT,ALB,and LDLC are independent risk factors for moderate to severe fatty liver in T2DM patients.展开更多

The neutron energy was generated from the D+T neutron source at the China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE). The neutron flux was monitored by measuring the activity of 92mNb produced in the competing reaction channel of 93Nb(n, 2n)92mNb. At the neutron energy of 14.6 MeV, the 93Nb(n, 2n)92gNb reaction cross-section of (736±220) mb was obtained for the first time.展开更多

文摘BACKGROUND Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease has become the most common chronic liver disease worldwide,which originates from the accumulation of triglyceride(TG)in the liver.Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)are considered to have a predisposition to hepatic steatosis.However,the influencing factors for hepatic fat accumulation in T2DM patients remain unclear.AIM To investigate the influencing factors for hepatic fat accumulation in T2DM patients.METHODS We enrolled 329 T2DM patients admitted to the Endocrinology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University,who underwent MR mDIXONQuant examination to quantify the hepatic fat fraction(HFF).According to body mass index(BMI),the patients were divided into normal weight,overweight,and obese groups.The differences in general statistics,biochemical parameters,islet function,and HFF were compared among the three groups.The associations between HFF and other parameters and the influences of various parameters on the severity of hepatic fat accumulation were analyzed.RESULTS The HFF of T2DM patients gradually increased in the normal weight,overweight,and obese groups(P<0.05).Spearman correlation analysis showed that in T2DM patients,HFF was negatively correlated with age and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(P<0.05),whereas it was positively correlated with BMI,waist-hip ratio,fasting plasma glucose,alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase,bilirubin,glutamyl transpeptidase,lactate dehydrogenase,albumin(ALB),uric acid(UA),total cholesterol,TG,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),C-reactive protein,free triiodothyronine,fasting insulin,fasting C-peptide,and homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance(P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis showed significant positive influences of BMI,ALT,LDL-C,UA,and ALB on HFF in T2DM patients(P<0.05).Binary logistic regression analysis showed that BMI,ALT,ALB,and LDL-C were independent risk factors for moderate to severe fatty liver in T2DM patients,and obesity increased the risk of being complicated with moderate to severe fatty liver by 4.03 times(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The HFF of T2DM patients increases with BMI.Higher BMI,ALT,ALB,and LDLC are independent risk factors for moderate to severe fatty liver in T2DM patients.

文摘The cross-section for the 93Nb(n, 2n)92gNb reaction has been measured at the neutron energy of 14.6 MeV using neutron activation and accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) determination of the long-lived product nuclide 92gNb. The neutron energy was generated from the D+T neutron source at the China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE). The neutron flux was monitored by measuring the activity of 92mNb produced in the competing reaction channel of 93Nb(n, 2n)92mNb. At the neutron energy of 14.6 MeV, the 93Nb(n, 2n)92gNb reaction cross-section of (736±220) mb was obtained for the first time.
