背景:聚醚醚酮具有与人体皮质骨相近的弹性模量及良好的射线透射性、化学稳定性和生物相容性等优点,有望应用于口腔种植领域,然而其具有生物惰性,难以与周围组织形成骨结合,因此如何提高聚醚醚酮的表面活性是目前的主要问题。目的:分析... 背景:聚醚醚酮具有与人体皮质骨相近的弹性模量及良好的射线透射性、化学稳定性和生物相容性等优点,有望应用于口腔种植领域,然而其具有生物惰性,难以与周围组织形成骨结合,因此如何提高聚醚醚酮的表面活性是目前的主要问题。目的:分析聚醚醚酮表面骨形成肽1和聚多巴胺复合涂层的促成骨和成血管作用。方法:将聚醚醚酮片浸泡于多巴胺溶液中24 h,制备聚醚醚酮-聚多巴胺材料;将聚醚醚酮-聚多巴胺材料浸泡于骨形成肽1溶液中24 h,制备聚醚醚酮-聚多巴胺-骨形成肽1材料,表征材料的微观形貌、亲水性与元素组成。将骨髓间充质干细胞分别接种于聚醚醚酮、聚醚醚酮-聚多巴胺、聚醚醚酮-聚多巴胺-骨形成肽1材料表面,通过活死细胞染色和细胞骨架染色评估细胞活性与黏附状态,茜素红和骨钙素免疫荧光染色检测细胞成骨分化能力。将人脐静脉内皮细胞分别接种于3组材料表面,通过活死细胞染色和细胞骨架/血管内皮生长因子免疫荧光染色评估细胞活性及成血管水平。结果与结论:①扫描电镜下可见聚醚醚酮材料表面光滑,聚醚醚酮-聚多巴胺材料表面出现凹凸不平的沉积物,聚醚醚酮-聚多巴胺-骨形成肽1材料表面有小颗粒突起;接触角测试结果显示,聚醚醚酮-聚多巴胺-骨形成肽1材料的亲水性优于其他两种材料;X射线光电子能谱测试结果显示,骨形成肽1成功修饰于聚醚醚酮材料表面;②活死细胞染色和细胞骨架染色显示,相较于其他两种材料,聚醚醚酮-聚多巴胺-骨形成肽1材料可提高骨髓间充质干细胞的活性与黏附;茜素红和骨钙素免疫荧光染色显示,相较于其他两种材料,聚醚醚酮-聚多巴胺-骨形成肽1材料可促进骨髓间充质干细胞的成骨分化;③活死细胞染色和免疫荧光染色显示,相较于其他两种材料,聚醚醚酮-聚多巴胺-骨形成肽1材料可提高人脐静脉内皮细胞的活性与黏附及血管内皮生长因子蛋白的表达;④结果表明,骨形成肽1和聚多巴胺复合涂层可提高聚醚醚酮表面的促成骨和成血管活性。 展开更多

The microstructure,microhardness,and corrosion resistance of laser cladding Ni−WC coating on the surface of AlSi5Cu1Mg alloy were investigated by scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction,microhardness testing,immersion corrosion testing,and electrochemical measurement.The results show that a smooth coating containing NiAl,Ni_(3)Al,M_(7)C_(3),M_(23)C_(6)phases(M=Ni,Al,Cr,W,Fe)and WC particles is prepared by laser cladding.Under a laser scanning speed of 120 mm/min,the microhardness of the cladding coating is 9−11 times that of AlSi5Cu1Mg,due to the synergistic effect of excellent metallurgical bond and newly formed carbides.The Ni−WC coating shows higher corrosion potential(−318.09 mV)and lower corrosion current density(12.33μA/cm^(2))compared with the matrix.The crack-free,dense cladding coating obviously inhibits the penetration of Cl^(−)and H^(+),leading to the remarkedly improved corrosion resistance of cladding coating. 展开更多

A systematic investigation of the microstructure of CrA1CxN1-x coatings as a function of carbon contents was conducted. Quaternary CrA1CxN1-x coatings were deposited on Si wafers by a hybrid coating system combining an arc-ion plating technique and a DC reactive magnetron sputtering technique using Cr and AI targets in the Ar/N2/CH4 gaseous mixture. The effect of carbon content on microstructure of CrA1C^N~ x coatings was investigated with instrumental analyses of X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron, and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. The results show that the carbon content of CrA1CxN1-x coatings linearly increases with increasing CH4/(CH4/N2) gas flow rate ratio. The surface roughness of the CrA1CxN1-x coating layer decreases with the increase of carbon content. 展开更多

To investigate the evolution of microstructure and wear behavior of TiSiN coatings with the variation of Si in targets and lays the foundation for its controllable mass production, Ti1-xSixN composite coatings were deposited onto Si(100) and cemented carbide substrates using TiSi targets with different Si content by cathodic arc ion plating. The influences of Si on the microstructure and mechanical properties were studied. Nano-amorphous composite structure appeared in the Ti1-xSixN coatings when Si content in TiSi target was higher than 5 at%. However, further increase of Si content in TiSi target exhibited a negligible effect on the microstructure of Ti1-xSixN coatings. Hardness and deformation resistance were correlated to the content of Si in TiSi targets. Maximum hardness was obtained as the Si content in target increased up to 20 at%. Friction coefficient and wear rate significantly decreased with addition of Si in TiN coating, and then dually increased with the increase of Si content in targets. 展开更多

The results of the isothermal oxidation test at 800-900℃ showed that Cr1-xAlxN coatings could remarkably reduce the oxidation rate of the alloy owing to the formation of Al2O3+Cr2O3 mixture oxide scale on the surface of the coatings. No spallation of the coatings or oxide scales took place during the cyclic oxidation at 800℃. Ti was observed to diffuse into the coatings, the diffusion distance of which was very short, and the diffusion ability of it was proportional to the AI content in the coatings. Compared to Ti, Nb can diffuse much more easily through the whole coatings and oxide scales. 展开更多

A single Si_(1−x)C_(x)coating and compound coatings were deposited on Mg-3Sn matrix alloy by magnetron sputtering method.Compound coatings included Mg or Mg/AlTi intermediates between Mg-3Sn substrate and Si_(1−x)C_(x)coating.The thermal conductivity of the Mg-3Sn alloy after coating was enhanced at room temperature.The results showed that the Mg-3Sn alloy coated with Mg/AlTi/Si_(1−x)C_(x)displayed higher thermal conductivity,its thermal conductivity after corrosion was 90.1 W/(m K)and 108.4 W/(m K)at 25℃and 100℃,respectively.Meanwhile,it was revealed that the Mg/Si_(1−x)C_(x)and Mg/AlTi/Si_(1−x)C_(x)compound coatings had nobler Ecorr and much lower i_(corr),higher Rp,compared with the bare Mg-3Sn and Mg-3Sn/Si_(1−x)C_(x)system,and improved the corrosion resistance of the magnesium substrate. 展开更多

Experimental results indicated that the average value of bond strength was around 46. 90 MPa, the average hardness was 240 HV and the average value of surface roughness was about O. 14 mm. Friction and wear test results showed that the dry friction coefficient of Ni-5wt.% Al coating firstly decreased, and then tended to a slight increase after 200 cycles. In the early abrasion stage, adhesion wear played the key role for wear mechanics of Ni-5wt.% Al coating, but gradually abrasive wear became to replace adhesion wear. 展开更多

Alumina coated LiNi1/3Mn1/3Co1/3O2 particles were obtained by a simple method of solid state reaction at room temperature. The reaction mechanism of solid state reaction at room temperature was investigated. The structure and morphology of the coating materials were investigated by XRD, SEM and TEM. The electrochemical performances of uncoated and Al2O3-coated LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 cathode materials were studied within a voltage window of 3.00?4.35 V at current density of 30 mA/g. SEM, TEM and EDS analytical results indicate that the surface of LiNi1/3Mn1/3Co1/3O2 particles is coated with very fine Al2O3 composite, which leads to the improved cycle ability though a slight decrease in the first discharge capacity is observed. It is proposed that surface treatment by solid state reaction at room temperature is a simple and effective method to improve the cycle performance of LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 particles. 展开更多

The Sr/F co-doped CaP(Sr/F-CaP)coatings were prepared by micro-arc oxidation(MAO)under different voltages to modify the microstructure and corrosion behavior of Mg-4Zn-1Mn alloy.The surface and interface characteristics investigated using scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer(EDS)showed that the MAO coatings displayed uneven crater-like holes and tiny cracks under lower voltage,while they exhibited relatively homogeneous crater-like holes without cracks under higher voltage.The thickness of MAO coatings increased with increasing voltage.The corrosion behavior of Mg-4Zn-1Mn alloy was improved by the MAO coatings.The MAO coatings prepared under 450 V and 500 V voltages possessed the best corrosion resistance with regard to the electrochemical corrosion tests and immersion corrosion tests,respectively.The MAO coatings fabricated under 450-500 V could provide a better corrosion protection effect for the substrate. 展开更多

Lowered gas breakdown voltage, increasing plasma density and increased discharge current were achieved by using the floating inner electrode. The low temperature (Nonthermal) Atmospheric Pressure Plasma protective coating technique using precursor-containing gases (Ar, O2 and OMCTS mixture) which injected into Plasma Jet (APPJ), there are several techniques are introduced here to avoid substrate damage including increasing plasma density without increasing the kinetic energy of the ion bombardment. The NiCoCrAlY coatings strengthened by three nano-particles with the same addition were prepared on a Ni-base super alloy using laser cladding technique. The dry frictional wear behaviors of the coatings at 500 ℃ in static air were investigated. The comparison was made with the coating without nano-particles. The results show that the wear mechanism of the NiCoCrAlY coatings with nano-particles, like the coating without nano-particles, is the delamination wear due to the strong plastic deformation and oxidative wear. However, the frictional coefficient of the coatings increases and presents the decrease trend with the increase of sliding distance after adding nano-particles. Moreover, the wear rate of the coatings with nano-particles is only 34.0%-64.5% of the coating without nano-particles. Among the three nano-particles, the improvement of nano-SiC on the high temperature wear resistance of the coating is the most significant. 展开更多

A Cr interlayer was introduced between Cr-A1-Si-N coating and SUS 304 substrate to improve the coating adherence. The effects of Cr interlayer on the microhardness, adhesion, and tribological behavior of Cr-A1-Si-N coatings were systematically investigated. The results indicate that the microhardness of the Cr-A1-Si-N coatings gradually deceases with increasing thickness of Cr interlayers. The adhesion between Cr-A1-Si-N and SUS 304 substrate is improved by addition of the Cr interlayers. A peak critical load of-50 N is observed for the coating containing Cr interlayer of 60 nm as compared - 20 N for the coating without Cr interlayer. The thicker Cr interlayers result in reduced critical load values. Moreover, the wear resistance of the Cr-AI-Si-N coatings is greatly enhanced by introducing the Cr interlayer with thickness of 60 nm in spite of the decreased microhardness. The friction coefficient of the coating system is also moderately reduced. 展开更多

Two surface treatments, molybdenizing and depositing NiCrAIY coating, were applied to improve the microhardness and the oxidation resistance of titanium and Ti-6Al-4V. Coupons were analyzed using optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with X-ray energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Vickers hardness and isothermal oxidation tests were carried out to evaluate the effects of these two surface treatments on the microhardness and oxidation resistance of the substrates. The post vacuum heat treatment of the NiCrAlY coating and the molybdenizing parameters were also discussed. It is found that molybdenizing can obviously increase the surface hardness of titanium due to the formation of β, α", and α″ phases in the diffusion layer. As γ' phase is formed after vacuum heat treatment, the NiCrAlY coating is effective in improving the surface hardness of Ti-6Al-4V. The NiCrAlY coating can obviously decrease the oxidation rate of Ti-6Al-4V at 700-900℃, which can be attributed to the formation of Al2O3 and Cr2O3 mixed scale during the oxidation. 展开更多

In this study, a novel gel encapsulated coated MNs(GEC-MNs) was developed. The water-soluble drug coating was encapsulated with sodium alginate(SA) in situ complexation gel. The manufacturing process of GEC-MNs was optimized for mass production. Compared to the water-soluble coated MNs(72.02% ± 11.49%), the drug delivery efficiency of the optimized GEC-MNs(88.42% ± 6.72%) was steadily increased, and this improvement was investigated through in vitro drug release. The sustained-release of BSA was observed in vitro permeation through the skin. The rhIFN α-1 b GEC-MNs was confirmed to achieve biosafety and 6-month storage stability. Pharmacokinetics of rhIFN α-1 b in GEC-MNs showed a linearly dosedependent relationship. The AUC of rhIFN α-1 b in GEC-MNs(4.51 ng/ml ·h) was bioequivalent to the intradermal(ID) injection(5.36 ng/ml ·h) and significantly higher than water-soluble coated MNs(3.12 ng/ml ·h). The rhIFN α-1 b elimination half-life of GEC-MNs, soluble coated MNs, and ID injection was 18.16, 1.44, and 2.53 h, respectively. The complexation-based GECMNs have proved to be more efficient, stable, and achieve the sustained-release of watersoluble drug in coating MNs, constituting a high value to biopharmaceutical. 展开更多

A TiA1N coating was deposited on a heat resistant steel X12CrMoWVNbN10-1-1 by vacuum arc ion plating. The tensile and fatigue properties of the coated steel were investigated at room temperature (RT) and 650 ℃. The results reveal that the TiA1N coating is compact, on which a small number of large particle and pits are present. The Ti/Al atomic ratio in the coating is about 0.94. The average hardness of the coating is 1 868 HV0.1 and the interface bonding force between TiAIN coating and the substrate is about 3 l N. The elastic modulus and the strength of the steel are improved by the deposition of TiAIN coating. The influence of the TiA1N coating on the tensile properties of the steel can be ignored at both RT and 650 ℃. Moreover, there is no obvious decrease of the fatigue limit of substrate when the steel is coated by the coating at the investigated temperature. 展开更多

Although the complete nucleotide sequence of strawberry vein banding virus(SVBV) has been determined and bioinformatic analysis has revealed that the SVBV genome could encode seven proteins, the precise function of each protein is unclear. This study provided evidence that the P1 protein of SVBV(SVBV-P1) possesses the following features. Bioinformatic and subcellular localization analyses showed that SVBV-P1 is localized in the cytoplasm and cell walls of epidermal cells in Nicotiana benthamiana, and it forms inclusion bodies associated with microtubules and the endoplasmic reticulum. Dilution experiments demonstrated that SVBV-P1 could move from the original agro-infiltrated cells to adjacent cells in N. benthamiana leaves. Further trans-complementation experiments demonstrated that SVBV-P1 could facilitate the intercellular movement of a movement-deficient potato virus X mutant in N. benthamiana leaves. Finally, yeast twohybrid and bimolecular fluorescence complementation assays revealed that SVBV-P1 could interact with the SVBV coat protein, which is a major component of Caulimovirus virions. Results of the electrophoretic mobility shift assay indicated that SVBV-P1 lacks DNA-binding capability. In summary, the results suggest that SVBV-P1 is probably a movement protein of SVBV, providing new insights into the function of movement proteins of the Caulimovirus genus. 展开更多

This results in an increase in oxidation rate of the metal. Since, zirconia coating is well recognized for corrosion protection under high temperature oxidative environment, we have developed zirconia coating on 9Cr1Mo ferritic steel and their oxidation performance was evaluated in LiCl-NaCl and Na2SO4-K2SO4 salts deposit system in air atmosphere at 650?C and 850?C, respectively. Before coating development, zirconium based sol was synthesized using zirconium (IV) propoxide as a precursor. Oxidation test results indicated that the zirconia coated specimens shows more than two times higher corrosion resistance in LiCl-NaCl and three time higher corrosion resistance in Na2SO4-K2SO4 salt deposit, respectively. 展开更多

High tap density of Ni_3(PO_4)_2 coated LiNi_(1/3)Co_(1/3)Mn_(1/3)O_2 with enhanced cycling performance at high cut-off voltage

The Li Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 is first obtained by the controlled crystallization method and then coated with Ni3(PO4)2particles. The effects of the coating on rate capability and cycle life at high cut-off voltage are investigated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and galvanostatic measurements. The element ratio of Ni:Mn:Co is tested by inductively-coupled plasma spectrometer(ICP) analysis and it testified to be 1:1:1. It is indicated that Ni3(PO4)2-coated Li Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 has an outstanding capacity retention, where 99% capacity retention is maintained after 10 cycles at 5C discharge rate between 2.7 V and 4.6 V. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) results show that the current exchange density i0 of the coated sample is higher than that of Li Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2, which is beneficial to its electrochemical performances. All the conclusions show that the Ni3(PO4)2coating can prominently enhance the high rate performance of the Li Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2, especially at high cut-off voltage. 展开更多
