The single-crystal structure has been determined by X-ray single-crystal diffraction. The electrochemical and two-photon absorption properties of T_2 were systematically studied by cyclic voltammetry and Z-scan determination methods, respectively. The results suggested that T_2 had a good oxidation-reduction and excellent nonlinear optical property. The two-photon absorption(TPA) value has a maximum corresponding to cross section σ = 7963.3 GM(Goeppert-Mayer units) at 700 nm, indicating potential applications in nonlinear optical materials. Furthermore, attributing to the excellent water solubility and low cytotoxicity, the compound was explored on its primary application in biological imaging.展开更多

It is found that the nanoparticle sizes and crystallinity increase with the increase of hydrothermal temperature from 150 ℃ to 160 ℃, and then to 180 ℃. With the increase of particle sizes, the absorption capacities and photocatalytic abilities of as-prepared TiO2 particles for crystal violet become better and better. The nano TiO2 with big particles is more stable than that with small particles, although its initial photocatalytic activity is relatively lower compared with that of the small particle samples.展开更多

The amount of iron in the compound is varied from 0 to 0.15 mol%. Measurements of nonlinear refractive index n2 and the nonlinear absorption coefficient β are determined. The sign of the nonlinear refractive index is found to be negative and the magnitude is on the order of 10-s cm2/W. This nonlinear effect increases as the concentration increases from 0 to 0.15 mol%. A good linear relationship is obtained between nonlinear refractive index, nonlinear absorption coefficient, and concentration.展开更多

Laser damage resistance is greatly improved by sub-ns laser conditioning, whereas only a little improvement occurred after ns laser conditioning at the same laser fluence. Moreover, scattering and transmittance variations after the two types of laser conditioning indicate similar reduction of linear absorption. However, by contrast, large differences on nonlinear absorption modification are discovered using Z-scan measurement. This characteristic absorption modification by laser irradiation provides evidence that a nonlinear absorption mechanism plays a key role in damage initiation at 355 nm.展开更多
