A Multi-Tenant Usage Access Model for Cloud Computing

Most cloud services are built with multi-tenancy which enables data and configuration segregation upon shared infrastructures.It offers tremendous advantages for enterprises and service providers.It is anticipated that this situation will evolve to foster cross-tenant collaboration supported by Authorization as a service.To realize access control in a multi-tenant cloud computing environment,this study proposes a multi-tenant cloud computing access control model based on the traditional usage access control model by building trust relations among tenants.The model consists of three sub-models,which achieve trust relationships between tenants with different granularities and satisfy the requirements of different application scenarios.With an established trust relation in MT-UCON(Multi-tenant Usage Access Control),the trustee can precisely authorize cross-tenant accesses to the trustor’s resources consistent with constraints over the trust relation and other components designated by the trustor.In addition,the security of the model is analyzed by an information flow method.The model adapts to the characteristics of a dynamic and open multi-tenant cloud computing environment and achieves fine-grained access control within and between tenants. 展开更多

Evaluation of Summer Monsoon Clouds over the Tibetan Plateau Simulated in the ACCESS Model Using Satellite Products

Cloud distribution characteristics over the Tibetan Plateau in the summer monsoon period simulated by the Australian Community Climate and Earth System Simulator(ACCESS) model are evaluated using COSP [the CFMIP(Cloud Feedback Model Intercomparison Project) Observation Simulator Package]. The results show that the ACCESS model simulates less cumulus cloud at atmospheric middle levels when compared with observations from CALIPSO and CloudSat, but more ice cloud at high levels and drizzle drops at low levels. The model also has seasonal biases after the onset of the summer monsoon in May. While observations show that the prevalent high cloud at 9–10 km in spring shifts downward to 7–9 km,the modeled maximum cloud fractions move upward to 12–15 km. The reason for this model deficiency is investigated by comparing model dynamical and thermodynamical fields with those of ERA-Interim. It is found that the lifting effect of the Tibetan Plateau in the ACCESS model is stronger than in ERA-Interim, which means that the vertical velocity in the ACCESS model is stronger and more water vapor is transported to the upper levels of the atmosphere, resulting in more high-level ice clouds and less middle-level cumulus cloud over the Tibetan Plateau. The modeled radiation fields and precipitation are also evaluated against the relevant satellite observations. 展开更多

In this paper, we present a novel approach to model user request patterns in the World Wide Web. Instead of focusing on the user traffic for web pages, we capture the user interaction at the object level of the web pages. Our framework model consists of three sub-models: one for user file access, one for web pages, and one for storage servers. Web pages are assumed to consist of different types and sizes of objects, which are characterized using several categories: articles, media, and mosaics. The model is implemented with a discrete event simulation and then used to investigate the performance of our system over a variety of parameters in our model. Our performance measure of choice is mean response time and by varying the composition of web pages through our categories, we find that our framework model is able to capture a wide range of conditions that serve as a basis for generating a variety of user request patterns. In addition, we are able to establish a set of parameters that can be used as base cases. One of the goals of this research is for the framework model to be general enough that the parameters can be varied such that it can serve as input for investigating other distributed applications that require the generation of user request access patterns. 展开更多

Modal choice models applied to interregional or international freight transportation network models are often based on rather coarse origin-destination matrices, containing annual transported tonnages between (sub)regions, for instance. Generally, only basic (sometimes constructed) independent variables (transportation costs or transit times) are used because other variables such as shipment sizes, service frequencies, etc. are not available. Using origin-destination matrices and an assignment model, it is also possible to compute spatial accessibility measures that can further be used as additional explanatory variables. Indeed, several published studies have identified network accessibility as an important element in the mode-choice decision. This paper also shows that the inclusion of an accessibility measure in the utility functions of a logit model substantially improves the performance of a transportation network model, both in the modal choice and the assignment levels of the classical four-step model. Consequently, the assignment of the estimated modal demands results in more accurate estimated traffic on the networks. The model presented in this paper is to be considered as a proof of concept because its workflow should further be streamlined to make it easily useable by modelers. 展开更多

The Lanzhou-Urumqi high-speed railway is an important part of the railway network connecting Gansu,Qinghai,and Xinjiang,and it is of far-reaching significance in facilitating China’s western development.An accessibility model and a double difference model were built to analyze the impact of the Lanzhou-Urumqi high-speed railway on regional accessibility and economic development of the areas along the line before(2012-2014)and after(2017-2019)its opening.The results show that the regional accessibility remains unchanged before and after the operation of this railway line.However,there is a spatial difference in improvement,that of central cities being better.The opening of the high-speed railway is conducive to driving the overall economic development of the region and promoting the comprehensive and coordinated development of regional economies. 展开更多

This paper studies the relationship between accessibility and housing prices in Dalian by using an improved geographically weighted regression model and house prices, traffic, remote sensing images, etc. Multi-source data improves the accuracy of the spatial differentiation that reflects the impact of traffic accessibility on house prices. The results are as follows: first, the average house price is 12 436 yuan(RMB)/m^2, and reveals a declining trend from coastal areas to inland areas. The exception was Guilin Street, which demonstrates a local peak of house prices that decreases from the center of the street to its periphery. Second, the accessibility value is 33 minutes on average, excluding northern and eastern fringe areas, which was over 50 minutes. Third, the significant spatial correlation coefficient between accessibility and house prices is 0.423, and the coefficient increases in the southeastern direction. The strongest impact of accessibility on house prices is in the southeastern coast, and can be seen in the Lehua, Yingke, and Hushan communities, while the weakest impact is in the northwestern fringe, and can be seen in the Yingchengzi, Xixiaomo, and Daheishi community areas. 展开更多

As a new computing mode,cloud computing can provide users with virtualized and scalable web services,which faced with serious security challenges,however.Access control is one of the most important measures to ensure the security of cloud computing.But applying traditional access control model into the Cloud directly could not solve the uncertainty and vulnerability caused by the open conditions of cloud computing.In cloud computing environment,only when the security and reliability of both interaction parties are ensured,data security can be effectively guaranteed during interactions between users and the Cloud.Therefore,building a mutual trust relationship between users and cloud platform is the key to implement new kinds of access control method in cloud computing environment.Combining with Trust Management(TM),a mutual trust based access control(MTBAC) model is proposed in this paper.MTBAC model take both user's behavior trust and cloud services node's credibility into consideration.Trust relationships between users and cloud service nodes are established by mutual trust mechanism.Security problems of access control are solved by implementing MTBAC model into cloud computing environment.Simulation experiments show that MTBAC model can guarantee the interaction between users and cloud service nodes. 展开更多

In this study, accessibility and location-allocation models have been integrated into GIS to improve spatial planning and environmental sustainability of health services in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah. This integration provides a planning framework in order to check the efficiency of the spatial allocation of health services and to generate alternatives either by proposing an active service or to improve an existing one. To achieve these objectives, the accessibility to the service area was analyzed within the analysis of health services networks, which are divided into eight types: public hospitals, specialized hospitals, health units, healthcare centers, infirmaries, clinic complexes, the Red Crescent Center, and ambulance facilities, with time intervals of (5 minutes - 10 minutes - 15 minutes) to access coverage ranges, and the location-allocation model was used based on the maximum coverage model within a response time not exceeding 15 minutes, The results of the study revealed the poor distribution of health services Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah suffers from weak accessibility to health services coverage areas and is unable to meet the needs of its population at present. The current need for health services reached twenty-four locations, including two public hospitals, three specialized hospitals, two health centers, three ambulance facilities, four infirmaries, three clinic complexes, four health units, and three Red Crescent centers. 展开更多

Design and Implement an Novel File Access Prediction Model in Linux

So far, file access prediction models is mainly based on either the file access frequency or the historical record of the latest access. In this paper, a new file access prediction model called frequency- and recency-based successor (FRS) is presented which combines the advantages of the file frequency with the historical record. FRS model has the capability of rapid response to workload changes and can predict future events with greater accuracy than most of other prediction models. To evaluate the performance of FRS mode, the Linux kernel is modified to predict and prefetch upcoming accesses. The experiment shows that FRS can accurately predict approximately 80% of all file access events, while maintaining an immediate successor queue (ISQ) per-file which only requires regular dynamic updates. 展开更多

An optimized device structure for reducing the RESET current of phase-change random access memory (PCRAM) with blade-type like (BTL) phase change layer is proposed. The electrical thermal analysis of the BTL cell and the blade heater contactor structure by three-dimensional finite element modeling are compared with each other during RESET operation. The simulation results show that the programming region of the phase change layer in the BTL cell is much smaller, and thermal electrical distributions of the BTL cell are more concentrated on the TiN/GST interface. The results indicate that the BTL cell has the superiorities of increasing the heating efficiency, decreasing the power consumption and reducing the RESET current from 0.67mA to 0.32mA. Therefore, the BTL cell will be appropriate for high performance PCRAM device with lower power consumption and lower RESET current. 展开更多

A novel access method for endovascular procedures in the porcine model

Objective To evaluate the use of the saphenous artery as an alternative access for endovascular procedures in the porcine model. Methods Fourteen adult pigs (25-35 kg) were used in this study, 3 pigs from an acute study and 11 from chronic studies. A 2-3 cm incision was made and a saphenous artery cutdown was performed in 24 sides. Micropuncture sets (Boston Scientific) or 18 G puncture needles were used to access the artery. Different sizes of introducers (4-7 F) were used to establish endovascular access. Angiographic catheters were then used to confirm if the access was usable. Four saphenous arteries were explanted in the pigs from a chronic study 4 to 28 days after surgical procedure. Results The saphenous artery was very easy to expose and 4-5 F introducer sheaths were able to be inserted to establish access for endovascular procedures in the pigs. The saphenous artery was unable to accomodate an introducer with a size larger than 6 F. Four saphenous arteries were injured when 5 and 6 F introducers were used, but angiographic procedures could still be performed. Morphologic evaluation of the explanted arteries demonstrated occlusion of the saphenous arteries without injury or disruption of the adjacent femoral arteries. Conclusion The saphenous artery can be used as an access site in pigs for angiographic and interventional procedures if the catheter size is less than 6 F. This vessel is easier to access and can preserve the femoral artery for repeat procedures in the future. 展开更多

为了提高公交换乘效率、优化公交系统,基于GIS软件构建公交换乘网络,运用该网络对换乘可达性进行了测度和分析.结合Space-P模型和网络分析法,以拉萨市城关区为研究区域,基于公交线路路径、站点、交叉口等基本信息构建同站换乘子网络.结... 为了提高公交换乘效率、优化公交系统,基于GIS软件构建公交换乘网络,运用该网络对换乘可达性进行了测度和分析.结合Space-P模型和网络分析法,以拉萨市城关区为研究区域,基于公交线路路径、站点、交叉口等基本信息构建同站换乘子网络.结合公交站点服务范围、步行通道路径、交叉口等信息构建异站换乘子网络.二者协同实现了基于ArcGIS的公交换乘网络构建,并依据该网络对公交线路的乘客在车时间和换乘系数进行测度和分析.结果表明:构建的换乘网络能够对乘客在车时间进行良好的测度,乘客在车时间最大值为68.68 min,最小值为2.00 min,乘客换乘在车时间平均值为29.90 min.该换乘网络能够对换乘系数进行良好的测度,得到有效换乘线路90 300条,换乘系数最大为4条(线路为62条),最小为0条(线路为1 354条).采用可达性度量模型,可实现对公交站点时间可达性和换乘可达性的良好测度和分析. 展开更多

当前,在交通行业碳减排存在巨大挑战以及未来中国城市群交通发展长远规划双重背景下,如何通过改善交通可达性提高居民出行效率和减少碳排放是亟待解决的关键问题之一。本文基于城际出行手机信令数据,从居民出行的角度提出城际多模式交... 当前,在交通行业碳减排存在巨大挑战以及未来中国城市群交通发展长远规划双重背景下,如何通过改善交通可达性提高居民出行效率和减少碳排放是亟待解决的关键问题之一。本文基于城际出行手机信令数据,从居民出行的角度提出城际多模式交通客运碳排放量方法,并采用梯度提升决策树(GBDT)模型及多尺度地理加权回归(MGWR)模型探讨可达性对区域碳排放量的空间异质性影响。以关中平原城市群为例进行验证,结果表明:城际公路客运碳排放量远大于铁路,呈现沿交通基础设施线路分布的特征;在整体区域范围内,可达性指标对碳排放水平具有一定的正向边际效应;MGWR能够刻画碳排放与可达性指标关系的空间异质性及尺度差异;经济潜能可达性、介数中心性及接近中心性对城际碳排放具有显著的正向空间异质性影响,但影响尺度不同;公路客运碳排放对介数中心性及接近中心性要素较为敏感,经济潜能对碳排放的影响较为平稳;铁路出行可达性的提升对中心城市的影响效应低于周边区县城市。 展开更多
