One way to decrease undesirable effects of sodic waters on the physical and chemical properties of soils is to apply organic and chemical amendments within the soil. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of saline water on soil acidity, alkalinity and nutrients leaching in sandy loamy soil at Bella flower farm, in Rwamagana District, Rwanda. The water used was from the Muhazi Lake which is classified as Class I (Saline water quality). Column leaching experiments using treated soils were then conducted under saturated conditions. The soil under experimental was first analyzed for its textural classification, soil properties and is classified as sandy loamy soil. The t-test was taken at 1%, 5% and 10% levels of statistical significance compared to control soil. The results indicated that the application of saline water to soils caused an increase in some soil nutrients like increase of Phosphorus (P), Potassium (K+), Magnesium (Mg2+), Sulphur (S), CN ratio and Sodium (Na+) and decreased soil texture, physical and chemical properties and remained soil nutrients. Consequently, the intensive addition of saline water leachates to soil in PVC pipes led to decreased of soil EC through leaching and a raiser Soluble Sodium Percentage (SSP). The rate of saline water application affected the increase accumulation of SAR and Na% in the top soil layers. The study indicated that saline water is an inefficient amendment for sandy soil with saline water irrigation. The study recommends further studies with similar topic with saline water irrigation, as it accentuated the alkalinity levels.展开更多

The experimental results indicate that the effects of particle size and sulfuric acid concentration on the nickel extraction are remarkable; the effect of reaction temperature is mild; while the effect of stirring speed in the range of 400-1 200 r/min is negligible. Decreasing particle size or increasing sulfuric acid concentration and reaction temperature, the nickel extraction efficiency is improved. 93.5% of nickel in residue is extracted under suitable leaching conditions, including particle size (0.074-0.100) mm, sulfuric acid concentration 30% (mass fraction), temperature 80 ℃, reaction time 180 min, mass ratio of liquid to solid 10 and stirring speed 800 r/min. The leaching kinetics analyses shows that the reaction rate of leaching process is controlled by diffusion through the product layer, and the calculated activation energy of 15.8 kJ/mol is characteristic for a diffusion controlled process.展开更多

The experiment focused on the vanadium recovery from roasted residue through optimizing the process conditions of an effective and environmentally-friendly technology, named calcified roasting-sulfuric acid leaching technology. By single-factor experiments and orthogonal experiments, the effects of roasting temperature, roasting time, sulfuric acid concentration and leaching time on the leaching ratio of vanadium were analyzed. The results showed that the leaching ratio of vanadium reached 85.5% under the proper technological conditions of roasting temperature=950℃, roasting time=4 h, 40% concentration of sulfuric acid and leaching time=6 h.

文摘The leaching of low-sulfur Ni-Cu matte in acid-oxygen(CuSO4-H2SO4-O2)solution at atmospheric pressure was researched. This matte was obtained from high grade Ni-Cu matte by magnetic separation, which mainly contained Ni-Cu alloy and a small quantity of sulfides. The effects of temperature, agitation speed, oxygen flow rate, particle size, acid concentration and concentration of copper ion were studied. It is found that the matte particles are leached by shrinking core mechanism and the leaching process is electrochemically controlled. In a temperature range of 30-60℃,the surface reaction is rate-limiting step, with an apparent activation energy of 41.9 kJ/mol.But at higher temperature(70-85℃),the rate process is controlled by diffusion through the product layer, with an apparent activation energy of 7.3 kJ/mol.

文摘Sulfuric acid leaching process was applied to extract nickel from roasting-dissolving residue of a spent catalyst, the effect of different parameters on nickel extraction was investigated by leaching experiments, and the leaching kinetics of nickel was analyzed. The leaching kinetics analyses shows that the reaction rate of leaching process is controlled by diffusion through the product layer, and the calculated activation energy of 15.8 kJ/mol is characteristic for a diffusion controlled process.

文摘Leaching kinetics of acid-soluble Cr(Ⅵ) in chromite ore processing residue (COPR) using hydrofluoric (HF) acid solution as a leaching agent was investigated for potential remediation of COPR with industrial waste water containing HF. The results show that HF can effectively destabilize the Cr(VI)-bearing minerals, resulting in the mobilization of Cr(Ⅵ) from COPR into the leachate. Particle size significantly influences the leaching of acid-soluble Cr(Ⅵ) from COPR,followed by leaching time, whereas the effects of HF concentration and leaching temperature are slight and the influence of stirring rate is negligible. The leaching process of acid-soluble Cr(VI) from COPR is controlled by the diffusion through the product layer. The apparent activation energy is 8.696 kJ/mol and the reaction orders with respect to HF concentration and particle size is 0.493 8 and-2.013 3,respectively.

文摘Rutile (TiO2) is heavily used in pigments mid colormlts, mid the most abundmlt source of rutile is ilmeinte. Upon oxidation of ilmeinte, mtile cml be formed wiffl modest energy consumption; furfflermore, after leaching, only a few byproducts are formed. Unfortunate- ly, one drawback is file necessarily long oxidative process of typically used mefflods. In fflis study, we show fflat a fluidized bed reactor cml be used to oxidize ilmeinte ore to rapidly form ruffle mid pseudobrookite (Fe2TiOs) phases. Ilmeinte was oxidized wiffl 5vo1% 02 in Ar at temperatures of 1173 K or 1223 K mid subsequently leached using a diluted H2SO4 solution to dissolve file pseudobrookite phase. The effects of acid concentration, temperature, mid cooling rate after oxidation were investigated. We show fflat file ilmeinte was rapidly oxidized to form rutile mid pseudobrookite phases at 1173 mid 1223 K in a 5vo1% O2/95vo1% Ar environment wifflin 40 min. The fmal maximum mtile yield was 84.2mo1% after leaching in (1 + 1) H2SO4 solution at 393 K for 12 h.

文摘Dahu-Qinnan molybdenum deposit, located in the northern part of the Xiaoqinling gold province, belongs to the Xiaoqinling-Waifangshan sub-zone of the eastern Qinling Mo-W metallogenic belt, central China.Molybdenite mineralization is associated with Au-bearing quartz veins. This paper is based on field observations and PIMA analytical data on the occurrences, and details textures and alteration patterns of Mo-bearing quartz veins in Dahu-Qinnan region. The Mo-bearing quartz veins exhibit friable with cream colored, vuggy, infilling texture and brecciated texture. The breccia clasts within Mo-bearing quartz veins are dominated by gneissic rocks of the Taihua Supergroup, and Mesozoic porphyritic granite dyke with stockwork and disseminated molybdenite mineralization. The breccias are replaced by clay minerals.Alteration associated with molybdenite-bearing quartz veins is characterized by K-feldspar(only in the breccias),sericite, sillicification(residual silica),kaolinite, smectite and anhydrite.Molybdenite with other sulfide minerals infills fissures and pore spaces in the quartz veins. As the results of above, and according to the observed geological events in the area and taking into account the geological setting,molybdenite-bearing quartz veins are likely to have been affected by late acid leaching. The precursor porphyry Mo ore, associated with porphyry granite dyke formed probably at ca.245--211 Ma during the continent-continenl collision of Qinling orogeny.

文摘Recent studies have shown that chlorogenic acid(CGA),which is present in coffee, has protective effects on the nervous system. However, its role in neonatal hypoxic-ischemic brain injury remains unclear. In this study,we established a newborn mouse model of hypoxic-ischemic brain injury using a modified Rice-Vannucci method and performed intraperitoneal injection of CGA.We found that CGA intervention effectively reduced the volume of cerebral infarct, alleviated cerebral edema, restored brain tissue structure after injury, and promoted axon growth in injured brain tissue. Moreover,CGA pretreatment alleviated oxygen-glucose deprivation damage of primary neurons and promoted neuron survival. In addition, changes in ferroptosis-related proteins caused by hypoxic-ischemic brain injury were partially reversed by CGA.Furthermore,CGA intervention upregulated the expression of the key ferroptosis factor glutathione peroxidase 4 and its upstream glutamate/cystine antiporter related factors SLC7A11 and SLC3A2.In summary, our findings reveal that CGA alleviates hypoxic-ischemic brain injury in neonatal mice by reducing ferroptosis, providing new ideas for the treatment of neonatal hypoxic-ischemic brain injury.

文摘A technique including direct acid leaching, vanadium precipitation with alkaline, sodium hydroxide releaching, impurity removing by adjusting pH value, precipitation vanadium with ammonium chloride, and vanadium pentoxide by roasting steps was proposed according to the characteristic of Xichuan clay vanadium mineral. The factors influencing leaching vanadium such as temperature and the concentration of sulfuric acid were investigated and optimized. The experimental results indicate that the extract ratios of V205 can reach 94% and 92% at a sodium chlorate ratio of 3% and a manganese dioxide ratio of 3%, respectivdy. A completely chemical precipitation method was adopted to decontaminate and enrich the vanadium in the acid leaching solution. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern and the purity analysis of vanadium pentoxide indicate that the purity of final vanadium pentoxide can reach 99% and meet the standard specifications. The total recovery can reach about 75%. The technique has the characteristics of simplicity, less investment, and more environment safety as compared with the traditional salt roasting method.
