Shenshu (BL 23), Qihaishu (BL 24), Dachangshu (BL 25), Weizhong (BL 40), Jiaji (EX B 2), etc. are used. In treatment group, acupuncture, TDP irradiation and cupping are performed, and in control group, only acupuncture is given. After 30 sessions (3 therapeutic courses) of treatment, in treatment and control groups, the total effective rates are 91.43% and 71.43% respectively. The therapeutic effect of comprehensive treatment is significantly superior to that of simple acupuncture therapy (P<0.05).展开更多

Main points Tanzhong (CV 17), Quchi (LI 11) and Jiaji (EX-B 2) were punctured, supplemented with other acupoints according to the concrete symptoms and signs and TDP irradiation for 30 min. For example, in the treatment of mastitis patients with high fever, bilateral Hegu (LI 4) and Taichong (LR 3) were punctured in combination with pricking blood and cupping methods. After 1-10 sessions of treatment (once daily), all the 600 cases were effective, with 510 cases (85%) being cured, 83 cases (13.8%) remarkably effective, and with 7 cases (1.2%) effective.展开更多

Acupuncture was performed at Cuánzhú(攒竹BL 2). Nèiguān(内关PC 6). Zhōngwǎn(中脘CV 12) and Zúsānlǐ(足三里ST 36), with the time of needle retention for 30 min. Flash cupping was carried out on Fèishū(肺俞BL 13), Géshū(膈俞BL 17) and Wèishū(胃俞BL 21), with the time of cup retention for 8-10 min. The treatment was conducted once a day. and 10 treatments were considered as one course of treatment. Clinical efficacy was observed after one course treatment. Results: Among the 30 patients, 22 cases were cured, accounting for 73.33%(22/30), effective relief was found in 5 cases, accounting for 16.67%(5/30), and 3 cases had no improvement, accounting for 10.00%(3/30). The total effective rate was 90.00%(27/30).Conclusion: The clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with cupping therapy for intractable hiccup is satisfactory, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.展开更多
