By analyzing two quantitative indicators, the rate of refusal to operate and mal-operation rate, a strict math- ematical formula and an approximate calculation are stated. The differences of a series of judgment systems are discussed on condition that the unsafe failure probability and the security failure probability are both 0.1. Based on given parameters (A, B,P, Q): A is upper limit of the refusal rate for the RPS, B is upper limit of the real-operation rate, P and Q are basic protection unit rates corresponding to refusal rate and mal-operation rate, respectively. In our study, global information will be introduced into the backup protection system. By analyzing and computing real-time PMU measurements, basing on cluster analysis theory, we are using mainly hierarchical cluster analysis to search after the statistical laws of electrical quantities' marked changes. Then we carry out fast and exact detection of fault components and fault sections, and finally accomplish fault isolation. The facts show that the fault detection of fault component (fault section) can be performed successfully by hierarchical cluster analysis and calculation. The results of hierarchical cluster analysis are accurate and reliable, and the dendrograms of hierarchical cluster analysis are in intuition.展开更多

Although information security and cyber security are sometimes used synonymously, this study contends that they are not the same. The concept of cyber security is explored, which goes beyond protecting information resources to include a wider variety of assets, including people [1]. Protecting information assets is the main goal of traditional information security, with consideration to the human element and how people fit into the security process. On the other hand, cyber security adds a new level of complexity, as people might unintentionally contribute to or become targets of cyberattacks. This aspect presents moral questions since it is becoming more widely accepted that society has a duty to protect weaker members of society, including children [1]. The study emphasizes how important cyber security is on a larger scale, with many countries creating plans and laws to counteract cyberattacks. Nevertheless, a lot of these sources frequently neglect to define the differences or the relationship between information security and cyber security [1]. The paper focus on differentiating between cybersecurity and information security on a larger scale. Protection efficiency assessment of the coastal shelterbelt is an important component of sh...The coastal shelter forest in China is under threat of destruction and degradation because of the impact of human activities. Protection efficiency assessment of the coastal shelterbelt is an important component of shelterforest remediation planning and sustainable management. In this study, a protection efficiency index (PEI) model was established using the projection pursuit method to assess the protective quality of the coastal shelter forest at the coastal section scale of Dongshan Island, China. Three criteria were used, including forest stand structure, forest belt structure, and windbreak effect; each criterion further comprised multiple factors. Based on survey data of 31 plots in the coastal shelter forest of Dongshan Island, we calculated PEI values using a projection of a pursuit model. The result showed 64.5 % of the PEIs fell at or below the middle level, which can indicate the status of the coastal shelterbelt is unsatisfactory. To further explore whether the different bays and land use types create significant differences in PEIs and evaluation indices, we used an ANOVA to test the influence of various bays and forms of land use on coastal shelterbelts. The results showed that PEI and most of the indices differed significantly by bay; mean tree height, mean DBH, mean crown width, stand density, vegetation coverage, and wind velocity reduction differed significantly by land use. Therefore, relevant measures for different locations, bays and surrounding land use can be proposed to improve the existing conditions of the coastal shelterbelt. The results of this study provide a theoretical and technical framework for future changes and sustainable management of coastal shelterbelt on Dongshan Island.展开更多

The system includes the key for watermark extraction and the host image. The algorithm splits the original image into blocks and classifies these blocks based on visual masking, that is, noise visibility function (NVF). Watermark components with different strength are inserted into chosen direct current components of DCT coefficients according to the classifier. The watermark extraction is based on the characteristic of the statistic independence of the host image, watermark and key. Principle component analysis (PCA) whitening process and FastICA techniques are introduced to ensure a blind watermark extraction without requiring the original image. Experirnental results show the proposed technique is robust under attacks such as image filtering and adding noise, cropping and resizing. In addition, the proposed private watermarking system can be improved to the application of the DTV content protection system.展开更多

Within each of the 50 trials, cows included in the statistical analysis were over 45 days in milk (DIM) at </span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">the </span><span style="font-family:;" "=""><span style="font-family:Verdana;">first milk test, averaged </span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">159 ± 26 DIM on the first test date</span></span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">,</span><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> and were available for all milk collection periods. A total of 6483 cows from 7 countries were represented in the 50 studies, with an average herd size of 129.7 ± 118.0. Meta-analyses were conducted to determine effect size for milk, fat</span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">,</span><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> and protein yield based on the treatment differences and standard errors (SE) from the individual trials. Results indicated that dairy cows responded positively to the inclusion of the rumen protected B vitamin blend. Forest plots revealed trial</span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">-</span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">to</span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">-</span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">trial variation and might be related to age, level of milk production</span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">,</span><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> and stage of lactation of the cows.</span>

文摘Ecotourism projects are mostly implemented in naturally fragile ecosystems as a savior of nature,culture,and indigenous people.This paper aims to make quantitative study of ecotourism in protected areas by using bibliometric analysis.VOSviewer,a popular bibliometric software,was used to analyze as many as 1182 research articles published from 2002 to 2020.Those articles were collected from the Scopus database.The study measured three distinct types of bibliometric indicators(quantity,quality,and structural indicators)to analyze the published articles scientifically.The analysis uncovers ecotourism research in protected areas as an emerging and predominant field of research with a sound growth in annual publications and citations.Importantly,the majority of ecotourism research articles are published in the United States,the United Kingdom,Australia,South Africa,Canada,and China.Nevertheless,ecotourism as a relevant research theme of is getting due importance in African and Asian countries for two key reasons:(1)wildlife and tribal populations,and(2)uncontaminated ecology and environment of ecotourism sites.Further,the main research themes of articles in the field of ecotourism in protected areas are broadly focused on conservation,visitor management,and community.Our findings reveal that controversial issues surrounding ecotourism and its relationship to protected areas,dominated by human-wildlife conflict,gender,and climate change,are attracting the attention of researchers worldwide.

文摘The coastal shelter forest in China is under threat of destruction and degradation because of the impact of human activities. Protection efficiency assessment of the coastal shelterbelt is an important component of shelterforest remediation planning and sustainable management. In this study, a protection efficiency index (PEI) model was established using the projection pursuit method to assess the protective quality of the coastal shelter forest at the coastal section scale of Dongshan Island, China. Three criteria were used, including forest stand structure, forest belt structure, and windbreak effect; each criterion further comprised multiple factors. Based on survey data of 31 plots in the coastal shelter forest of Dongshan Island, we calculated PEI values using a projection of a pursuit model. The result showed 64.5 % of the PEIs fell at or below the middle level, which can indicate the status of the coastal shelterbelt is unsatisfactory. To further explore whether the different bays and land use types create significant differences in PEIs and evaluation indices, we used an ANOVA to test the influence of various bays and forms of land use on coastal shelterbelts. The results showed that PEI and most of the indices differed significantly by bay; mean tree height, mean DBH, mean crown width, stand density, vegetation coverage, and wind velocity reduction differed significantly by land use. Therefore, relevant measures for different locations, bays and surrounding land use can be proposed to improve the existing conditions of the coastal shelterbelt. The results of this study provide a theoretical and technical framework for future changes and sustainable management of coastal shelterbelt on Dongshan Island.

文摘A novel copyright protection scheme for digital content is presented, which is a private watermarking scheme based on the watermark embedding in the DCT domain and watermark extraction Using independent component analysis (ICA). The system includes the key for watermark extraction and the host image. The algorithm splits the original image into blocks and classifies these blocks based on visual masking, that is, noise visibility function (NVF). Watermark components with different strength are inserted into chosen direct current components of DCT coefficients according to the classifier. The watermark extraction is based on the characteristic of the statistic independence of the host image, watermark and key. Principle component analysis (PCA) whitening process and FastICA techniques are introduced to ensure a blind watermark extraction without requiring the original image. Experirnental results show the proposed technique is robust under attacks such as image filtering and adding noise, cropping and resizing. In addition, the proposed private watermarking system can be improved to the application of the DTV content protection system.
文摘Stability of earth dams during earthquakes has been a major concern for gcotechnical engineers in seismic active regions. Liquefaction induced slope failure occurred at the upstream slope of a major earth dam in the suburb of Beijing, China, during the 1976 Tangshan Earthquake. The gravelly soil with loose initial condition liquefied under relatively small ground vibration. In recent years, a major seismic rehabilitation project was carried out on a similar earth dam nearby using dumped quarry stone. Seismic stability analysis was carried out using model test, finite element simulation, and pseudostatic slope stability program after taking into account the influence of excess pore pressure.
