Purpose:Accurately assigning the document type of review articles in citation index databases like Web of Science(WoS)and Scopus is important.This study aims to investigate the document type assignation of review arti...Purpose:Accurately assigning the document type of review articles in citation index databases like Web of Science(WoS)and Scopus is important.This study aims to investigate the document type assignation of review articles in Web of Science,Scopus and Publisher’s websites on a large scale.Design/methodology/approach:27,616 papers from 160 journals from 10 review journal series indexed in SCI are analyzed.The document types of these papers labeled on journals’websites,and assigned by WoS and Scopus are retrieved and compared to determine the assigning accuracy and identify the possible reasons for wrongly assigning.For the document type labeled on the website,we further differentiate them into explicit review and implicit review based on whether the website directly indicates it is a review or not.Findings:Overall,WoS and Scopus performed similarly,with an average precision of about 99% and recall of about 80%.However,there were some differences between WoS and Scopus across different journal series and within the same journal series.The assigning accuracy of WoS and Scopus for implicit reviews dropped significantly,especially for Scopus.Research limitations:The document types we used as the gold standard were based on the journal websites’labeling which were not manually validated one by one.We only studied the labeling performance for review articles published during 2017-2018 in review journals.Whether this conclusion can be extended to review articles published in non-review journals and most current situation is not very clear.Practical implications:This study provides a reference for the accuracy of document type assigning of review articles in WoS and Scopus,and the identified pattern for assigning implicit reviews may be helpful to better labeling on websites,WoS and Scopus.Originality/value:This study investigated the assigning accuracy of document type of reviews and identified the some patterns of wrong assignments.展开更多
The Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants(POPs)is a legally binding instrument for 186 Parties(status:April 2023).Accordingly,among other responsibilities,countries are obliged to report the production...The Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants(POPs)is a legally binding instrument for 186 Parties(status:April 2023).Accordingly,among other responsibilities,countries are obliged to report the production,import,or export of the POPs listed in Annexes A,B,or C;provide information to registers;maintain inventories;and monitor the presence of POPs in the environment.In the broader context of international chemicals and waste management,producer responsibilities,harmonized reporting,and compliance with national and international regulations,Ecuador has addressed the newly listed group of perfluorinated alkyl substances(PFAS)in its national implementation plan and sent selected products from its national market for PFAS analysis.The products analyzed came from the initially listed fields of specific exemptions and acceptable purposes,including:fire-fighting foams;photographic aids;greasers/degreasers;various kinds of paper/packaging;textiles;and leather,coatings,cleaners,metal plating,and pesticides.Our results showed that the three PFAS presently listed in the Stockholm Convention could be quantified in only a few samples;additional PFAS,not yet listed in the Convention also had low detection frequencies.Although the number of samples was limited,the samples covered a large spectrum of sample matrices,making it possible to conclude that—once these products become waste and are regulated under the Basel Convention—they would not constitute a disposal problem.Nevertheless,verification of the presence of PFAS in products on the market is expected to pose an analytical challenge for both,developed and developing countries.展开更多
Major media outlets have run many articles on the COVID-19 pandemic.Since the public suffers cognitive and emotional effects related to COVID-19 from such reports,we analyzed and reviewed the topics of news reports.We...Major media outlets have run many articles on the COVID-19 pandemic.Since the public suffers cognitive and emotional effects related to COVID-19 from such reports,we analyzed and reviewed the topics of news reports.We searched newspaper articles with the term‘COVID-19’term in four Korean daily newspapers from January 20,2020,when thefirst patient in Korea was found,to June 15,2020.Topic modeling analysis was conducted through text mining using R.Five themes were found:“Changes in people’s everyday life,”“Socio-economic shock,”“Trends in infection,”“Role of the government and business,”and“Increased psychological anxiety,”which all showed sharp increases in articles from mid-February to early March and then decreased.Despite the increased psychological anxiety people suffered from the COVID-19 pandemic,this topic showed the fewest articles.“Changes in people’s everyday life”showed the most,focusing attention on stimulating lifestyle articles of general interest.Since the COVID-19 pandemic can lead to mental health problems due to severe changes and isolation in everyday life,a comprehensive response to the news focusing on the impact on the mental health of the population around the world should be made.展开更多
目的:探索分化抑制因子3及分化抑制因子4(inhibitor of differentiation 3 and inhibitor of differentiation 4,ID3/ID4)两基因在急性髓系白血病(acute myeloid leukemia,AML)患者骨髓中的表达及其临床意义。方法:应用实时荧光定量PCR...目的:探索分化抑制因子3及分化抑制因子4(inhibitor of differentiation 3 and inhibitor of differentiation 4,ID3/ID4)两基因在急性髓系白血病(acute myeloid leukemia,AML)患者骨髓中的表达及其临床意义。方法:应用实时荧光定量PCR的方法检测32例非恶性血液病(设对照组)及133例初诊AML患者骨髓单个核细胞中ID3/ID4转录本水平,通过分组分析两者表达的临床意义。结果:AML患者骨髓中ID3/ID4转录本水平较对照组均显著降低(P=0.001及0.002),并且两者之间表达存在轻度正相关(r=0.282,P=0.001)。接收者操作特征曲线分析揭示ID3/ID4转录本水平可作为辅助诊断AML的潜在分子标志(AUC=0.682,P=0.001及AUC=0.673,P=0.002)。通过分组分析发现ID3低表达组患者年龄略小于ID3高表达组患者(P=0.054),NRAS突变频率略低于ID3高表达组患者(P=0.053)。ID4低表达组患者白细胞计数略高于ID4高表达组患者(P=0.088),CEBPA突变频率略高于ID4高表达组患者(P=0.099)。此外,无论在全部患者还是非M3患者中,ID4低表达组病例经过诱导化疗后达完全缓解的概率略低于ID4高表达组病例(P=0.080及0.065)。生存分析发现AML患者及其亚组(非M3及正常核型)中ID3低表达与ID3高表达组患者总体生存相似(P>0.05),ID4低表达病例的总体生存略低于ID4高表达组病例(P=0.058),而在非M3及正常核型患者中存在显著统计学差异(P=0.014及0.002)。结论:ID3/ID4表达下调可能是AML中的常见分子事件,其中ID4表达可能为AML预后判断提供重要参考。展开更多

AIM: To identify the most-cited articles in ophthalmic epidemiology over the last decade.METHODS: We performed a cited reference search on articles that were included in the ISI Web of Science database using the terms...AIM: To identify the most-cited articles in ophthalmic epidemiology over the last decade.METHODS: We performed a cited reference search on articles that were included in the ISI Web of Science database using the terms "Epidemi*" AND "ophthalm*" AND "population*" during year 2006 to 2016. TOP 100 most cited articles(T100) in ophthalmic epidemiology were short listed and analysed using bibliometrics.RESULTS: These top 100 articles in ophthalmic epidemiology were cited between 61 to 333 times. Of these T100 articles, 36% originated from United States, and 34% were published in the Ophthalmology journal. The three major topics identified were age-related macular degeneration(AMD, n=23), glaucoma(n=16) and visual impairment(n=12). The top-cited article was a study on outdoor activities and its association with the prevalence of myopia in school-aged children, published in 2008. CONCLUSION: This bibliometric analysis provides useful insights into the current development in ophthalmicepidemiology in the past decade and can help recognizing the quality of the researches, discoveries, and trends steering ophthalmic epidemiology.展开更多

Studying on the genetic diversity and genetic relationship of flowering cherry cultivars is extremely important for germplasm conservation, cultivar identification and breeding. Flowering cherry is widely cultivated a...Studying on the genetic diversity and genetic relationship of flowering cherry cultivars is extremely important for germplasm conservation, cultivar identification and breeding. Flowering cherry is widely cultivated as an important woody ornamental plant in worldwide, especially Japan, China. However, owning to the morphological similarity, many cultivars are distinguished hardly in non-flowering season. Here, we evaluated the genetic diversity and genetic relationship of 40 flowering cherry cultivars, which are mainly cultivated in China. We selected 13 polymorphicprimers to amplify to allele fragments with fluorescent-labeled capillary electrophoresis technology. The population structure analysis results show that these cultivars could be divided into 4 subpopulations. At the population level, N<sub>a</sub> and N<sub>e</sub> were 6.062, 4.326, respectively. H<sub>o</sub> and H<sub>e</sub> were 0.458 and 0.670, respectively. The Shannon’s information index (I) was 1.417. The Pop3, which originated from P. serrulata, had the highest H<sub>o</sub>, H<sub>e</sub>, and I among the 4 subpopulations. AMOVA showed that only 4% of genetic variation came from populations, the 39% variation came from individuals and 57% (p < 0.05) came from intra-individuals. 5 polymorphic SSR primers were selected to construct molecular ID code system of these cultivars. This analysis on the genetic diversity and relationship of the 40 flowering cherry cultivars will help to insight into the genetic background, relationship of these flowering cherry cultivars and promote to identify similar cultivars.展开更多

文摘After three rounds of rigorous evaluation of core journals in orthopedics conducted by the Reference Citation Analysis(RCA)editorial team of Baishideng Publishing Group(Baishideng),the RCA database of Baishideng officially released the 2022 Journal Article Influence Index(2022 JAII)of 104 core journals and a list of high-quality academic journals in orthopedics,for the first time on August 9,2022.The list of 104 core journals can be found at:https://www.referencecitationanalysis.com/SearchJournal.Among them,the highest 2022 JAII is 55.015 and the lowest is 3.076.This article introduces the 21 high-quality academic journals and describes the calculation method for the 2022 JAII,the evaluation process,and the inclusion principles for journals in the RCA.These steps are the underpinning of the RCA’s empirical journal academic evaluation service by which the digital platform addresses the needs of authors to select reliable journals for submission,readers to select high-quality literature for reading,and editors to track their own journal citation performance.As such,the RCA core journal list will serve as a useful Find-a-Journal tool.Any interested party is welcome to use this journal list and recommend it to their peers.
文摘After three rounds of rigorous evaluation of registered scholars conducted by the Reference Citation Analysis(RCA)editorial team of Baishideng Publishing Group(Baishideng),the RCA database of Baishideng officially released the 2022 Article Influence Index(2022 AII)of 632 scholars from 74 countries/territories in 98 research categories,for the first time.The list of 632 scholars can be found at:https://www.referencecitationanalysis.com/searchscholar.Among them,the highest 2022 AII is 348.211,the highest number of total citations is 42830,and the highest number of total articles is 901.The category with the largest number of RCA scholars is Gastroenterology&Hepatology,with a total of 100(15.8%),and the second is Surgery,with a total of 46(7.3%).This article summarizes the RCA scholars and describes the mission of RCA,the openness and transparency of RCA evaluation,the calculation method for the 2022 AII,and the evaluation process of RCA scholars.The RCA scholar list will effectively serve as a useful Find-a-Scholar tool.Any interested scholar is welcome to register and join this RCA scholar list.
文摘Studying on the genetic diversity and genetic relationship of flowering cherry cultivars is extremely important for germplasm conservation, cultivar identification and breeding. Flowering cherry is widely cultivated as an important woody ornamental plant in worldwide, especially Japan, China. However, owning to the morphological similarity, many cultivars are distinguished hardly in non-flowering season. Here, we evaluated the genetic diversity and genetic relationship of 40 flowering cherry cultivars, which are mainly cultivated in China. We selected 13 polymorphicprimers to amplify to allele fragments with fluorescent-labeled capillary electrophoresis technology. The population structure analysis results show that these cultivars could be divided into 4 subpopulations. At the population level, N<sub>a</sub> and N<sub>e</sub> were 6.062, 4.326, respectively. H<sub>o</sub> and H<sub>e</sub> were 0.458 and 0.670, respectively. The Shannon’s information index (I) was 1.417. The Pop3, which originated from P. serrulata, had the highest H<sub>o</sub>, H<sub>e</sub>, and I among the 4 subpopulations. AMOVA showed that only 4% of genetic variation came from populations, the 39% variation came from individuals and 57% (p < 0.05) came from intra-individuals. 5 polymorphic SSR primers were selected to construct molecular ID code system of these cultivars. This analysis on the genetic diversity and relationship of the 40 flowering cherry cultivars will help to insight into the genetic background, relationship of these flowering cherry cultivars and promote to identify similar cultivars.
