An Analysis of Teacher's Professional Development of Higher Vocational Education

Teachers are the backbones of any educational institutions. They not only play vital roles in students' development;they also directly affect the stature of their respective scholastic organizations. Highly qualified instructors produce competent and well-rounded students— learners who are more than ready to face the quirks and challenges of the labor force. This paper primarily discusses the following questions: What is teacher's professional development? What is higher vocational teacher's professional development? And how can scholastic institutions promote it? The conclusion states that the characteristics of higher vocational education directly influence the higher vocational teacher's professional development; therefore, it must be nurtured and promoted for the development of all the stakeholders of learning institutions – students, teachers, management staff,the learning institution itself, and the nation as a whole.

Evaluation of Technical Education by Using a Modern Structured MOODLE Laboratory Course, in Relation to Recent Data

E-learning platforms support education systems worldwide, transferring theoretical knowledge as well as soft skills. In the present study high-school pupils’, and adult students’ opinions were evaluated through a modern structured MOODLE interactive course, designed for the needs of the laboratory course “Automotive Systems”. The study concerns Greek secondary vocational education pupils aged 18 and vocational training adult students aged 20 to 50 years. The multistage, equal size simple random cluster sample was used as a sampling method. Pupils and adult students of each cluster completed structured 10-question questionnaires both before and after attending the course. A total of 120 questionnaires were collected. In general, our findings disclosed that the majority of pupils and adult students had significantly improved their knowledge and skills from using MOODLE. They reported strengthening conventional teaching, using the new MOODLE technology. The satisfaction indices improved quite, with the differences in their mean values being statistically significant.

Accreditation System of Distance Higher Education in the U.S. and Its Implications for China

Distance higher education is an important component of the Chinese higher education.How to enhance the quality of distance higher education is one of the key issues to be addressed in the research areas of distance education and higher education.As a crucial step to quality improvement,the constitution of accreditation system in distance higher education balances the benefits of all parties involved.This paper explores the American accreditation system of higher education and distance education and concludes with suggestions for the constitution of the Chinese quality assurance system:1)establishing third-party institutions to share part of the government roles;2)constituting the accreditation system;3)setting up appropriate standards;4)publicizing results of quality assurance work;and 5)building internal quality assurance mechanism.This paper is aimed to provide some reference to the constitution of accreditation system of distance higher education in China,facilitate the solution of quality problems in distance education,and promote the continuous improvement and development of distance education in China.

From Mutual Creation to Mutual Benefit:China’s National Teacher Training Program between Higher Teacher Education and K-12 Teachers

Sustainable Development Goal(SDG 4)lays solid theoretical foundation for the development of higher teacher education in improving the quality of teaching faculty nationwide.Sustainable teacher training paves a way for teacher professional development in the long run.China’s“National Teacher Training Program”serves a connection between higher teacher education and K-12 teachers in multiple perspectives when exploring K-12 teachers’improvement of the essence by upgrading the initiative of the program with the assistance of educational technology and modern educational philosophy from mutual creation to mutual benefit.Direction orientation strategic design based on demand for teaching faculty,curriculum setting in modules,and characteristics creation have been carried out to upgrade the training of teacher colleges and National Teacher Training Program in the future for achieving a win-win situation between higher teacher education and K-12 education.

REFORMING CHINA'S HIGHER ENGINEERING EDUCATION

This article expounds that China’s higher engineering education is facing both challenges and opportunities. Some special difficulties and problems rise in the course of economic transition, and exhort us that it has been of great urgency to carry out a reform of higher engineering education. Here are put forward six measures: to explore training patterns of such an education suited to China’s national conditions; to improve university system: to transform educational ideology, and reform educational contents and methods; to establish a system of cooperation of engineering universities and colleges with industries; to strengthen construction of teacher contingent in engineering universities and colleges; and to carry out testing work of continuing engineering education and training education.

Contribution of Development of China's Higher Education to Human Rights Undertaking

Human rights are the rights and freedoms of humans in their nature, and represent the basic conditions for the free and complete development of the humankind. The educational develop- ment level is an important mark of the level of realization of human rights. China＇s higher education realized the historic development in the 1998- 2007 period, and the number of the enrolled students at common colleges and universities across the nation had exploded from 3.4 million to 18.85 million, the number one in the world.

The 21^(st) century system reform and development mode of construction management education (CME) in China

With China’s entry into WTO and the development of the economic globalization, market competition in the construction field is more and more featured by the competition of talents, the core of which is the cultivation mechanism innovation of higher construction management talents. The approach to meet the requirement of this situation is to adopt innovation ideas, improve the supply-demand structure of CME, reform the education system to relate theory to practice, pay attention to the needs of the educated, enhance global communication and cooperation, and improve the knowledge structure of teachers.

Contributing to Sustainable Development——The Mission and Value of Higher Education

Some notes on sustainable development and scientific outlook on development were given. It is addressed that the mission of higher education to contribute to sustainable development should be reinforced and further expanded. The present situation of China's higher education and the improvements required were analyzed. Two modes of thinking (reductionism and holism) and the relationship between the mode of thinking and the mode of development were discussed. The change in the mode of thinking is the key point for Chinese higher education, and more intensive reform of teaching affairs is necessary. A proposal of the revision of China's Higher Education Act and University Constitutions was put forward.

Policy-Driven Development and the Strategic Initiative of One-Million Enrollment Expansion in China’s Higher Vocational Education

Purpose:This article explores the relationship between governmental policy and the development of higher vocational education in China.Design/Approach/Methods:The article begins with a textual analysis of dozens of policy documents on higher vocational education issued by the Chinese government since 1999.Findings:The article argues that the development of higher vocational education in China has been largely policy-driven.This development can be divided into four stages:scale development,quality improvement,capacity building,and systemwide enhancement.The transition between each of these developmental stages was marked by new policy initiatives undertaken by the Chinese government.Originality/Value:The government’s recent efforts to expand higher vocational education enrollment by one million students have significant implications for China’s higher vocational education.Additionally,the proposed“1 + X”model—which attaches equal importance to academic education and skill training—may represent the beginning of a new stage in the development of higher vocational education in China.

产教融合视阈下高职院校高水平专业群治理研究——基于56份“双高计划”学校中期绩效自评报告的文本分析

产教融合视阈下高职院校高水平专业群治理的逻辑框架必须遵循产业发展需求的逻辑、知识关联的逻辑和组织治理的逻辑。以56份“双高计划”学校中期绩效自评报告为研究对象,运用NVIVO12.0软件对专业群治理逻辑归纳而建构的要素指标进行数据挖掘和分析,结果表明专业群产教融合形态由“单一虚体”向“多元实体”蜕变有待突破,专业间知识关联由“弱关联”向“强关联”演变有待强化,组织管理形态由“科层治理”向“多元治理”转变有待革新。产教融合视域下高职院校高水平专业群治理应坚持“以产定群”,搭建区域产业集群与专业知识关联耦合的专业群;坚持“以群治院”,打造治理结构与治理效能相匹配的组织体系;坚持多元共治,搭建产教协同与利益共享的实体育人平台。

重审中华职业教育社对“打倒学阀”余波的应对——以上海职业指导所为中心的考察

随着“打倒学阀”浪潮愈演愈烈,1927年7月,黄炎培、郭秉文等5人被国民党中央执行委员会列为“学阀”,与他们关系紧密的中华职业教育社的社团形象随之一落千丈。为应对社会舆论,中华职业教育社进行了多方努力,尤以成立上海职业指导所为破局关键。在刘湛恩、潘文安等中华职业教育社核心成员的运作下,上海职业指导所开展了以职业讲演、职业调查、职业研究为重点的组合式职业指导工作,并对当时青年的失业原因进行了学理性考察。上海职业指导所在逐渐赢得青年学生群体信赖的同时,重塑了中华职业教育社的务实社团形象。

学生自治与“学校在场”——以中华职业学校职业市为中心的考察

“自治”作为20世纪初期的时髦词汇,在教育领域突出表现为学生自治。中华职业学校的职业市与普通中小学校的学校市一样,均为学生自治的团体组织形式。在以黄炎培为核心的中华职业教育社成员的积极谋划下,中华职业学校作为中华职业教育社的附属学校,自创立起便紧跟学生自治的浪潮。职业市的制度设计、组织架构及运行过程充分体现了“学校在场”,教师指导的身影时刻出现在学生日常生活、教学和管理中。作为职业学校学生自治组织的一种尝试,职业市的探索体现出中华职业教育社核心人物对于学生自治问题的深入思考。

高职教育生态可持续发展的内涵特征与评价指标体系构建——基于中部六省高职教育质量年报数据的分析

高职教育生态可持续发展理念强调高职教育系统中各要素的有机整合,以人为本、生态调适、和谐共生、可持续发展为其内涵要义,结构层面系统性、目标层面双向保障性、行动层面协同性为其基本特征。根据“承载力—支持力—吸引力—延续力—发展力”(CSAED)模型,可从高职教育环境质量有效改善、规模增长适度增强、资源结构不断优化、产出价值充分发挥、投入活力显著提升五个方面构建高职教育生态可持续发展的评价指标体系。基于中部六省高职教育质量年报数据,对各地区高职教育生态可持续发展情况进行综合分析,为各地区高职教育生态可持续发展评价提供基础理论支持与实践应用指导。

中国式现代化视域下高职教育“点线面体”特色学徒制体系构建

在中国式现代化视域下,高职教育“点线面体”特色学徒制体系构建有助于促进中国式教育现代化,有利于推动高职教育高质量发展,有益于深度开发技术技能人才。立足中国式现代化发展要求,从梳理参与者作用点、明确资源流动线、延展实操行动面、打造系统循环体四方面出发,构建中国式现代化视域下高职教育“点线面体”特色学徒制体系。面向中国式现代化,该体系的具体实施路径为:厘清特色学徒制的发力点,建立多中心协同育人模式;明确特色学徒制的切入线,推动四链加速聚合;夯实特色学徒制的行动面,完善高职教育顶层设计;创建特色学徒制的生态体,培养大国工匠。

实现高校学生社团思政育人功能——以安徽警官职业学院为例

学生社团是校园文化的重要载体,是第二课堂的重要组成部分,加强学生社团建设是提升高校管理水平的重要内容。以安徽警官职业学院学生社团建设为例,通过引领和指导学生自主学习马克思主义、组织社会实践提高学生社会责任意识、创建共青团品牌项目和举办文化活动,发挥学生社团的思政育人功能。

高职院校体育健康模式构建的策略研究——以“健康中国2030”为视角

高职院校发展体育健康教育是适应时代发展的必然要求,体育模式的构建是高职院校体育工作继续发展的现实需求,更是学生体质健康的重要性的显著体现。通过以“健康中国2030”为背景,对当前我国高职院校构建体育健康模式进行策略分析,发现当前存在学生兴趣占据健康模式构建的重大比重、高职院校体育教学的硬件与软件设施紧缺、构建体育健康模式的信息较为匮乏等不足之处。因此,高职院校应注重高职体育教师自身素质培养,制定合理体育健康模式的雏形,以人为本作为高职院校提供体育健康模式构建的理论思路以及培养安全急救能力来构建健康的教学内容和模式。

基于“中国外语教材编写理论体系”的高职英语教材编写研究--以航海英语教材编写为例

在三教改革的背景下,教材建设的重要性提升到了前所未有的高度。为了提高高职院校英语教材的编写质量,以航海英语教材为例,探讨应用中国外语教材编写理论,从紧贴行业发展、融合多元文化、设计POA教学活动、分析学生学情和规范编写管理这五个步骤进行教材编写。

China-ASEAN Relations in Higher Education:An Analytical Framework

China’s dramatic economic rise has tended to overshadow other wider perspectives on the developing China and Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN)relationship,including in higher education.The article examines contemporary relations between China and ASEAN,set against the longer term development of cultural and trade relations.It is argued that,notwithstanding current territorial disputes,and a history of discrimination against ethnic Chinese in several parts of ASEAN,prospects for a deepening of relations in higher education remain strong.Singapore,Malaysia,and Vietnam are selected as three instances of the developing relationship in higher education and some of the links traced,with the former assessed as best placed to take advantage of its China relations in higher education.The developing sense of regionalism is seen as likely to further enhance China-ASEAN relations in higher education.

高等职业教育与乡村振兴耦合关联研究——以浙江省为例

选取浙江省2011—2020年时间序列数据,构建高等职业教育与乡村振兴两系统发展水平指标体系,分别选取办学规模、产业兴旺等10个一级指标,在校学生数、村卫生室数量等35个二级指标,利用熵值法确定各指标权重,并基于综合评价模型、耦合协调度模型以及灰色关联度模型对其发展水平、耦合协调度以及灰色关联度进行评价。研究结果显示:浙江省高等职业教育与乡村振兴综合发展水平基本呈同频上升趋势,综合发展指数均已达0.84;耦合协调度逐年递增,2019年起已处于第9等级,即良好协调阶段;各指标因素大多呈强关联或较强关联,但部分指标仍处于较弱关联。为实现浙江省高等职业教育与乡村振兴协调纵深发展,应增强高等职业教育势能、实现高等职业教育转型、精准培养“新农人”、健全人才引进和福利激励保障。

从中国——东盟职业教育交流合作看广西高职的发展

中国—东盟职业教育交流合作作为战略发展关系的重要方面,对参与各国的教育和经贸发展都带来了前所未有的历史机遇。广西作为中国—东盟自由贸易区的前哨和基地之一,与东盟合作紧密、交流频繁。为此,广西高职应注重借鉴国内外的有益经验,从确立交流重点与合作方向、搭建广西特色“工坊”、打造职业教育适应性等方面加深交流合作,以实现不断提升和发展。
