The La-Mg-Ni-based A2B7-type Lao.8_xNdx Mgo.2Ni3.35Alo.lSio.o5 (x = 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, and 0.4) electrode alloys were prepared by casting and annealing. The influence of the partial substitution of Nd for La on the structure and electrochemical performances of the alloys was investigated. The structural analysis of X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy reveals that the experimental alloys consist of two major phases: (La,Mg)2Ni7 with the hexagonal Ce2Ni7-type structure and LaNi5 with the hexagonal CaCus-type structure as well as some residual phases of LaNi3 and NdNis. The electrochemical measurements indicate that an evident change of the electrochemical performance of the alloys is associated with the substitution of Nd for La. The discharge capacity of the alloy first increases then decreases with the growing Nd content, whereas their cycle stability clearly grows all the time. Furthermore, the measurements of the high rate discharge ability, the limiting current density, and hydrogen diffusion coefficient all demonstrate that the electrochemical kinetic properties of the alloy electrodes first augment then decline with the rising amount of Nd substitution. 展开更多

In addition to the zones with higher copper content and epsilon-Cu were observed, a metastablephase with B2-like structure was found in the early stage of the precipitation process, which isquite different from the equilibrium copper phase shown in the Fe-Cu binary phase diagram and hasperfect coherent relationship to the alpha-Fe matrix. The appearance of B2-like structure is veryimportant concerning the mechanism of aging strengthening effect and mechanical properties ofcorresponding engineering steels and alloys containing copper. 展开更多

The casting and annealing technologies were applied to fabricate the La0.8Mg0.2Ni3.3Co0.2Six (x = 0-0.2) electrode alloys. The effects of Si content and annealing temperature on the structure and electrochemical performances of the alloys were investigated systematically. The analyses of XRD and SEM show that all the alloys possess a multiphase structure, involving two main phases (La, Mg)2Ni7 and LaNi5 as well as a residual phase LaNi3. The addition of Si brings on an evident increase in the LaNi5 phase and a decrease in the (La, Mg)2Ni7 phase, without altering the main phase component of the alloy, which also makes the lattice constants and cell volumes of the alloy enlarged. Likewise, the annealing treatment engenders the same action on the lattice constants and cell volumes as adding Si. Simultaneously, it gives rise to the variation of the phase abundance and the coarsening of the alloy grains. The electrochemical measurements indicate that the addition of Si ameliorates the cycle stability of the as-cast and annealed alloys significantly, but impairs their discharge capacities clearly. Similarly, the annealing treatment makes a positive contribution to the cycle stability of the alloy evidently, and the discharge capacity of the alloy shows a maximum value with annealing temperature rising. Furthermore, the high rate discharge ability (HR) first augments and then declines with the rising of Si content and annealing temperature. 展开更多

The influence of Mg content in alloys on the phase structure is great, resulting in a linear decrease of the unit cell parameters of main phases and increase of hydrogen absorption/desorption plateau as Mg content increases. Electrochemical measurements show that as the Mg content increases, the discharge capacity of alloy electrodes first increases and then decreases. The cyclic stability presents a deteriorative trend. La1.4Mg0.6 Ni7 alloy electrode exhibits the maximum electrochemical discharge capacity (378 mAh·g^-1), and the La1.6Mg0.4Ni7 alloy electrode shows the best cyclic stability (S270 = 81%). 展开更多

The La-Mg-Ni system A2B7-type electrode alloys with nominal composition La0.75-xZrxMg0.25Ni3.2Co0.2Al0.1(x=0,0.05, 0.1,0.15,0.2)were prepared by casting and melt-spinning.The influences of melt spinning on the electrochemical performances as well as the structures of the alloys were investigated.The results obtained by XRD,SEM and TEM show that the as-cast and spun alloys have a multiphase structure,consisting of two main phases(La,Mg)Ni3 and LaNi5 as well as a residual phase LaNi2.The melt spinning leads to an obvious increase of the LaNi5 phase and a decrease of the(La,Mg)Ni3 phase in the alloys.The results of the electrochemical measurement indicate that the discharge capacity of the alloys(x≤0.1)first increases and then decreases with the increase of spinning rate,whereas for x>0.1,the discharge capacity of the alloys monotonously falls.The melt spinning slightly impairs the activation capability of the alloys,but it significantly enhances the cycle stability of the alloys. 展开更多

To improve the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of magnesium alloys, a 5 kW continuous wave CO2 laser was used to investigate the laser surface cladding on AZ31 B magnesium alloys with Al-Si/Al2O3-TiO2 composite powders. A detailed microstructure, chemical composition, and phase analysis of the composite coatings were studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The laser cladding shows good metallurgical bonding with the substrate. The composite coatings are composed of Mgl7Al12, Al3Mg2, Mg2Si, Al2O3, and TiO2 phases. Compared to the average microhardness (50HV0.05) of the AZ3 1 B substrate, that of the composite coatings (230HV0.05) is improved significantly. The wear resistances of the surface layers were evaluated in detail. The results demonstrate that the wear resistances of the laser surface-modified samples are considerably improved compared to the substrate. It also show that the composite coatings exhibit better corrosion resistance than that of the substrate in 3.5wt% NaCI solution. 展开更多

The iron aluminides show anomalous stress peaks at temperatures of the order of 400~600 ℃, irrespective of whether the crystal structure is B2 type or DO 3 type. Such features will be examined on the basis of thermally activated dislocation processes, considering the influence of test parameters such as temperature and strain rate, and material parameters such as crystal composition and orientation. Detailed analyses of deformation modes by slip step studies, transmission electron microscopy examinations of dislocation structures, and texture studies will also be considered. Observations of dislocation structures are clearly of great interest for suggesting the possible models of deformation, but suffer from two major weaknesses: the post mortem structures in samples deformed at high temperature may not be the same as those producing plasticity; almost all possible hypotheses for strengthening can find support from such observations, since almost all imaginable dislocation configurations can be found with sufficient diligence by the researcher. Strengthening at intermediate temperatures in DO 3 and B2 ordered iron aluminides will be analysed here, making combined use of observations of deformation structures and examinations of the influence of varying the deformation parameters. 展开更多

At different annealing temperatures, the saturation magnetostrictions and the correlation between the permeability μi and the temperature T (μi-T curves) of the Co66Fe4Mo2Si16B12 alloy were investigated using a small-angle magnetization tester and core tester. The experimental results showed that the μi-T curves had different shapes at different ranges of annealing temperature; the permeability μi of the alloy improved with the increase of the annealing temperatures below 460℃; when the alloy was annealed above 480℃, the poor magnetic properties were considered to be caused by larger saturation magnetostriction. 展开更多

为比较三种Al-Ti-B的微观组织对7085铝合金晶粒尺寸、硬度及电导率的影响,利用金相显微镜、SEM、维氏硬度计和涡流导电仪等检测设备,研究了经Al-Ti-B中间合金细化后的7085铝合金显微组织与力学性能。结果表明:三种Al-Ti-B中的TiAl_(3)、... 为比较三种Al-Ti-B的微观组织对7085铝合金晶粒尺寸、硬度及电导率的影响,利用金相显微镜、SEM、维氏硬度计和涡流导电仪等检测设备,研究了经Al-Ti-B中间合金细化后的7085铝合金显微组织与力学性能。结果表明:三种Al-Ti-B中的TiAl_(3)、TiB_(2)相形貌与平均尺寸无明显差异,微观组织缺陷较少。两种Al-5Ti-0.2B中TiB_(2)粒径尺寸分布区间较窄的细化效果较优,将Zr质量分数为0.1%的7085铝合金晶粒细化至168μm;Al-5Ti-1B中TiB_(2)粒径分布区间较窄且含量较高,可将该合金晶粒细化至112μm。窄的粒径分布区间、高的拟合度、异质形核核心数量的提升对细化效果产生积极作用,一定程度抑制了Zr“毒化”现象,改善了硬度及电导率性能。 展开更多

The partial substitution of Zr for La has been performed in order to ameliorate the electrochemical hydrogen storage performances of La–Mg–Ni based A2B7-type electrode alloys. The melt spinning technology was used to prepare the La0.75-xZrxMg0.25Ni3.2Co0.2Al0.1 (x=0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.15, 0.2) electrode alloys. The impacts of the melt spinning and the substituting La with Zr on the structures and the electrochemical hydrogen storage characteristics of the alloys were systemically investigated. The analysis of XRD and TEM reveals that the as-cast and spun alloys have a multiphase structure, composing of two main phases (La, Mg)2Ni7 and LaNi5 as well as a residual phase LaNi2. The electrochemical measurement indicates that both the substitution of Zr for La and the melt spinning ameliorate the electrochemical cycle stability of the alloys dramatically. Furthermore, the high rate discharge ability (HRD) of the as-spun (10 m/s) alloys notably declines with growing the amount of Zr substitution, while it first augments and then falls for the (x=0.1) alloy with rising the spinning rate. 展开更多

采用共焦显微Raman光谱和X-射线衍射方法表征了负载型PdCl2/SiO2和Pd-B/SiO2非晶态合金催化剂的结构。结果表明PdCl2分散在SiO2载体上后,与载体表面的相互作用使其在室温时即发生β→α构型转变。... 采用共焦显微Raman光谱和X-射线衍射方法表征了负载型PdCl2/SiO2和Pd-B/SiO2非晶态合金催化剂的结构。结果表明PdCl2分散在SiO2载体上后,与载体表面的相互作用使其在室温时即发生β→α构型转变。Pd-B/SiO2非晶态合金的Raman光谱在300-500cm-1区域内呈现一大的弥散峰。与无负载Pd-B非晶态合金比较初步认定该弥散峰与Pd-B键振动有关,温度升高Pd-B/SiO2催化活性下降,其主要原因为Pd-B/SiO2非晶态合金在高温下逐渐晶化为Pd金属所致。PdCl2与SiO2载体表面的相互作用使其具有较高的分散性,由此还原制备的Pd-B/SiO2非晶态合金较之无负载Pd-B非晶态合金更加微细化。 展开更多

采用基于密度泛函理论的第一原理赝势平面波方法,计算B2-Ti50-Al-Nbx晶体的能量、电子结构和弹性性质,通过合金形成热和Born稳定性判据考察Nb浓度对B2-TiAl晶体稳定性的影响,并采用Cauchy压力参数(C12-C44)和B/C44比值表征和评判Nb浓度... 采用基于密度泛函理论的第一原理赝势平面波方法,计算B2-Ti50-Al-Nbx晶体的能量、电子结构和弹性性质,通过合金形成热和Born稳定性判据考察Nb浓度对B2-TiAl晶体稳定性的影响,并采用Cauchy压力参数(C12-C44)和B/C44比值表征和评判Nb浓度对B2型TiAl合金延性的影响。结果表明,当Nb含量约大于8.0%时,B2-TiAl-Nb合金才稳定存在。B2-Ti50-Al-Nbx合金的稳定性随着Nb合金化浓度的升高而减弱,弹性模量则呈增强趋势。Nb含量为9.375%时B2-Ti50-Al-Nbx合金的延性相对最好,随合金化浓度的增大,B2-Ti50-Al-Nbx的延性整体下降。电子度密度和Milliken电荷占据数的分析有效解释了B2-Ti50-Al-Nbx合金的稳定性变化和Nb强化B2-TiAl合金的原因。 展开更多

To improve the cyclic stability of La-Mg-Ni system alloy, as-cast La0.75Mg0.25Ni3.5Co0.2 alloy was annealed at 1123, 1223, and 1323 K for 10 h in 0.3 MPa argon. The microstructure and electrochemical performance of different annealed alloys were investigated systematically by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), and electrochemical experiments. The results obtained by XRD and SEM showed that the as-cast and annealed (1123 K) alloys had multiphase structure containing LaNis, (La, Mg)2(Ni, Co)7 and few LaNi2 phases. When annealing temperatures approached 1223 and 1323 K, LaNi2 phase disappeared. The annealed alloys at 1223 and 1323 K were composed of LaNi5, (La, Mg)2(Ni, Co)7 and (La, Mg)(Ni, Co)3 phases. With increasing annealing temperature, the maximum discharge capacity of the alloy decreased monotonously, but the cyclic stability was improved owing to structure homogeneity and grain growth after annealing, as well as the enhancement of anti-oxidation/corrosion ability and the suppression of pulverization during cycling in KOH electrolyte. 展开更多
