This article provides an overview of the application of bionic technology in marine cruising equipment,discussing its research progress and future development trends.Marine cruising is a crucial means of gaining insig...This article provides an overview of the application of bionic technology in marine cruising equipment,discussing its research progress and future development trends.Marine cruising is a crucial means of gaining insights into the marine environment and conducting scientific research.However,conventional marine cruising equipment faces numerous challenges when dealing with complex and ever-changing marine environments.Bionic technology,as a means of drawing inspiration from the structure and functions of living organisms,offers new approaches and methods to address the challenges faced by marine cruising equipment and has found widespread application.The article primarily focuses on the applications and historical developments of bionic technology in propulsion methods,drag reduction,and surface antifouling.It summarizes the design principles,manufacturing techniques,and optimization methods for marine biomimetic cruising equipment.Finally,this paper analyzes the achievements,challenges,and future directions of bionic technology in marine cruising equipment.The application of bionic technology in marine cruising equipment holds vast potential for development,enabling us to better confront the challenges of marine exploration and research by drawing wisdom from nature and driving advancements in marine science.展开更多

The Bionic Lizard Flying Wheel Planing Craft was created and invented. This paper describes the evolution, experimental investigation, test results, design features, advantages, applications, and prospect of the innovation, which denotes the craft with excellent speed performance (high speed, extra STOL (short take-off and landing distance) and VTOL(vertical take-off and landing) characteristics, good transverse and longitudinal stability, super shallow water draft, high propulsion efficiency at high speed without cavitations obstacle, low external field noise, small dimension, simple configuration and structure, good economy, nice transportation efficiency, and possibly is first of these kinds in the HPMV (High Performance Marine Vessels) family around the world.展开更多
Amphibious robots are becoming increasingly important for civilian,scientific,and environmental missions.They are widely used in disaster rescue,ecosystem monitoring,and entertainment.However,some have two different l...Amphibious robots are becoming increasingly important for civilian,scientific,and environmental missions.They are widely used in disaster rescue,ecosystem monitoring,and entertainment.However,some have two different locomotion systems that need to be changed manually to fulfill both swimming in the water and moving on land,which may reduce their efficiency and reliability.Applying bioinspiration and biomimetics,many recently developed amphibious robots can undertake various tasks in complex amphibious environments with high mobility,flexibility,and energy efficiency.This review overviews the latest developments in amphibious robots,emphasizing biomimetic design concepts,backbone driving mechanisms,and typical applications.The performance indices of amphibious robots mimicking 13 different natural sources are compared,based on 10 different propulsion principles/modes,travel speed,working efficiency,maneuverability,and stability.Finally,the current challenges and perspectives of amphibious bio-inspired robots are discussed.This article summarizes the current types of amphibious robots and their movement and behavior solutions.The design concepts and operating mechanisms of amphibious robots reviewed here can be readily applied to other robotic studies.展开更多
