Crystallographic data are as follows: orthorhombic, space group Pna21, a=1.606 9(3) nm, b=1.685 9(3) nm, c=0.699 7(1) nm, V=1.8955(7) nm3, Z=4, Dc=1.619 g·cm-3, -ligand, two nitrogen atoms of 2,2′-bipy ligand and one coordinated water, there is a distorted square pyramidal environment. Two copper atoms are bridged by m-BDOA2-ligand, forming a one-dimensional chain along a axis. The adjacent distance of Cu...Cu atoms is 0.877 3 nm. The crystal network was formed by the intermolecular hydrogen bond and π-packing interactions.展开更多

Single crystal X ray diffraction data show that the compound has a nest shaped structure. Nonlinear optical properties (NLO) of the cluster were investigated by a Z scan technique with a pulsed laser at 532nm. The cluster exhibits the strong NLO absorption and a self defocusing effect (effective non linear absorption coefficient, α2eff=7.3×10-11mW-1; effective non linear refractive index, n2eff=3.9×10-11esu) when measured in a 6.0×10-4mol·dm-3 DMF solution. In this Work, we made a quantum chemistry calculation of Cu(En)2DDQ2, Cu(Phen)2DDQ2 and three analogous compoundsof Zn2+ coordinated with Phen, Bipy, and En ligands in octahedral model; discussed the feature of their chemical bonds. The resultObtained shows that DDQ radical anion is a considerable electron acceptor. It also would be helpful to understand the characteristics ofIR, ESR spectra of bile compounds and their conductivity discovered in solid state or solution.展开更多
