Ophthalmologists discover NDPR by observing the configuration of the vessel vascular network deliberately. Therefore, a computerized automatic system for the segmentation of vessel system will be an assist for ophthalmologists in order to detect an early stage of retinopathy. In this research, region based retinal vascular segmentation approach is suggested. In the steps of processing, the illumination variation of the fundus image is adjusted by using the point operators. Then, the edge features of the vessels are enhanced by applying the Gabor Filter. Finally, the region growing method with automatic seed point selection is used to extract the vessel network from the image background. The experiments of the proposed algorithm are conducted on DRIVE dataset, which is an open access dataset. Results obtain an accuracy of 94.9% over the dataset that has been used.展开更多

However, because of the risk of reinfusion of salvaged blood contaminated by tumor cells, the use of IBSA in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients undergoing liver transplantation (LT) is controversial. The critical points include whether tumor cells can be cleared by IBSA, whether IBSA increases the risk of recurrence or metastasis, and what are the indications for IBSA. Moreover, is it warranted to take the risk of tumor dissemination by using IBSA to avoid allogeneic blood transfusion? Do the remaining tumor cells after additional filtration by leukocyte depletion filters still possess potential tumorigenicity? Does IBSA always work well? We have reviewed the literature and tried to address these questions. The available data indicate that IBSA is safe in LT for HCC, but randomized, controlled and prospective trials are urgently required to clarify the uncertainty.展开更多

In this paper, a hybrid method for efficient segmentation of multiple oriented blood vessels in colour retinal images is proposed. Initially, the appearance of the blood vessels are enhanced and background noise is suppressed with the set of real component of a complex Gabor filters. Then the vessel pixels are detected in the vessel enhanced image using entropic thresholding based on gray level co-occurrence matrix as it takes into account the spatial distribution of gray levels and preserving the spatial structures. The performance of the method is illustrated on two sets of retinal images from publicly available DRIVE (Digital Retinal Images for Vessel Extraction) and Hoover’s databases. For DRIVE database, the blood vessels are detected with sensitivity of 86.47±3.6 (Mean±SD) and specificity of 96±1.01.展开更多

The approach first performs laser spectral contrast analysis on brain blood flow in rats, get their spatial and temporal contrast images. Then, a de-noising filtering method is proposed to deal with noise in LASCA. The image restoration is achieved by applying the proposed admixture filtering, and the subjective estimation and objective estimation are given to the de-noising images. As our experimental results shown, the proposed method provides clearer subjective sense and improved to over 25 db for PSNR.展开更多

The amount of work need to displace the blood in the systemic circulation, exceeds the work done by the left ventricle. With this, blood recovers increased flow resistance between the heartbeats with the Womersley number alterations in the rhythm of the accompanying electrocardiogram (ECG). Viscoelastic transformation is heavily expressed in coagulation. There must be a relationship between the ECG and blood transient flow resistance. The influence of the electromagnetic field on blood coagulation was studied. Venous blood was affected by the oscillated electromagnetic field (500 - 5000 Hz), with the square wave input signal in 25 healthy individuals (15 males, 10 females in the age 18 - 57 years). Electromagnetic irradiation (EMI) time of the sample 3 - 10 min. Hypocoagulation in normal blood samples was revealed (decreased quantity of Platelets up to 10 - 23 × 10<sup>9</sup>/L, Prothrombin index up to 9% - 10%, Fibrinogen concentration up to 0.20 - 0.21 g/L) and thrombolysis after the blood stasis. Ac electric field from the myocardial depolarization initiates electroacoustic phenomena. An emerging repulsing electromagnetic force acts on the red blood cells (RBC) and in addition to the pulse pressure from the heart, promotes blood motion and viscoelastic changes. The alterations of the blood inertial and elasticity, in addition to hemodynamics, are facilitated by the magnetic features of the hemoglobin. 文摘目前高血压已成为严重危害全球公共健康的重大问题。区别于传统的侵入式和袖带法的血压测量方式,为实时监测血压并助力早期诊断,本文专注于研究脉搏波波形与血压之间的内在关系,并提出了一种使用脉搏波的基于改进BERT(Bidirectional encoder representationns from transformers)模型的血压预测方法。方法首先应用巴特沃斯滤波器对原始脉搏波信号进行滤波预处理并周期性划分,然后结合深度学习技术,采用改进后的BERT模型,对划分后的脉搏波周期数据进行特征提取和分析。为验证本方法预测的有效性和准确性,采用MIMIC-Ⅲ数据库的数据进行实验。实验结果表明,本方法可以有效预测血压值,完全满足英国高血压学会的A类标准。通过深入研究脉搏波与血压的关系,本文改进BERT模型为高血压的预测与诊断提供了新的技术手段。
