We provide the whole process of design and development in online speaking exam, illustrate several functional designs including item bank construction, auto-generating examination paper and test paper analysis and discuss various network programming development technology during teachers＇ speaking network examination intensively. Directed by software engineering theory, the system is finally designed and realized through feasible research, requirement analysis, general design, detailed design, and tests with popular system development language and powerful database management.展开更多
The status of English in today’s world has been established definitely.It is not only embodied in the increasing numbers of speakers,but also embodied in the role which English has played in some non-English speaking...The status of English in today’s world has been established definitely.It is not only embodied in the increasing numbers of speakers,but also embodied in the role which English has played in some non-English speaking countries.English is spread as an International language in worldwide and which is no longer belonging to any English speaking countries but belonging to those who use it(McKay,2002).The consequences of English spreading are:on one hand,English as an international lingua franca status has been further consolidated;on the other hand,different regional variants appear in English.These changes lead to the debate between Standard English and varieties of English.All of these in turn generate a profound impact on English language teaching.China as one of non-English speaking countries has also been the impact of globalization in English.The English teaching in China is facing challenges and innovation.展开更多
Uniqueness of our political systems and tremendous changes brought about by reform and opening up are reflected in language use,so a boom of Chinese political neologisms is witnessed.Deverbalization,as the core concep...Uniqueness of our political systems and tremendous changes brought about by reform and opening up are reflected in language use,so a boom of Chinese political neologisms is witnessed.Deverbalization,as the core concept of the Interpretive Theory should be adopted in interpreting such neologisms so as to convey the intended meaning of the speaker in a faithful and interpretive manner.This paper makes a tentative attempt at classifying those neologisms and elaborates through exemplification on adopting deverbalization in interpreting political neologisms,with a view to producing China English rather than Chinese English and facilitating political communication among countries.展开更多
