文摘整个"南海仲裁案"新闻报道中,翻译无疑扮演着重要的角色,因而对翻译报道中不尽人意之处有必要作一些反思。从以名举实角度出发,不难发现南海新闻翻译报道明显存在着诸多不足。分析研究表明,媒体对"the Permanent Court of Arbitration""ruling""South China Sea""Scarborough Reef"和"Taiping Rock"等关键性词语翻译欠妥,这样的新闻报道容易造成误会并带来不良后果。基于此,国际新闻报道过程中应提倡树立国家翻译安全观,国际新闻的翻译、编译和摘译等必须讲政治,切不可率尔操觚、张冠李戴或人云亦云。
