The microstructures, phase constitutions and oxidation behavior of these coatings were studied. The results show that the coating prepared by co-depositing Si?Y at 1080 °C for 5 h has a multiple layer structure: a superficial zone consisting of Al-rich (Ti,Nb)5Si4 and (Ti,Nb)5Si3, an out layer consisting of (Ti,Nb)Si2, a middle layer consisting of (Ti,Nb)5Si4 and (Ti,Nb)5Si3, and aγ-TiAl inner layer. Co-deposition temperature imposes strong influences on the coating structure. The coating prepared by Si?Y co-depositing at 1080 °C for 5 h shows relatively good oxidation resistance at 1000 °C in air, and the oxidation rate constant of the coating is about two orders of magnitude lower than that of the bare TiAl alloy.展开更多

The Ti-Al coating was fabricated on the surface of electro-deposited nickel layer on copper matrix followed by the slurry pack cementation process. The effects of slurry pack cementation temperature on the microstructures and wear resistance of Ti-Al coating were studied. The results show that the microstructure of the coating changed from NiAl+Ni3(Ti,Al) to NiAl +Ni3(Ti,Al)+Ni4Ti3 to Ni4Ti3+NiAl, and to NiAl+Ni3(Ti,Al)+NiTi with slurry pack cementation temperature ranging from 800 ℃ to 950 ℃ in 12 h. The friction coefficient of Ti-Al coating decreased and the hardness increased with increasing the slurry pack cementation temperature. The minimum friction coefficient was 1/3 and the minimum hardness was 5 times larger than that of pure copper.展开更多

Emphasis is placed on the effect of alloying elements on the aluminizing behavior of TiAl alloy. The addition of a small amount of Nb or Cr in the TiAl improves significantly the aluminizing kinetics of TiAl alloys by increasing the solid-state division of Al through the formation of stable TiAl3 layer. The TiAl3 layer formed on the TiAl alloyed with Nb or Cr has better toughness than the TiAl3 formed on the non-alloyed TiAl. The reason for better toughness of the coating formed on TiAl is that partial TiAl3 with tetragonal structure was changed to high symmetry cubic L12 structure since Nb or Cr was dissolved into TiAl3. The TiAl3 layer formed on the TiAl alloyed with Nb or Cr has much better oxidation resistance than the TiAl3 layer formed on the non-alloyed TiAl. It is attributed to change in the crystal structure of TiAl3 from the brittle tetragonal DO22 to the ductile cubic L12 by addition of small amount of Nb or Cr.展开更多

It is commonly believed that chlorite coatings (also called chlorite films, chlorite linings, or chlorite rims) may prevent quartz overgrowth, and thus help the preservation of original pores in sandstone reservoirs. Recently, however, this assumption has been challenged by reservoir geologists. This dispute cannot be solved by mere analysis of thin sections, nor by chemical equations and diagenesis analysis. The main objective of the present contribution is to shed light on this problem on the basis of sandstone samples from the Permian Shanxi and Shihezi Formations in the eastern part of the Sulige gas field, Ordos Basin in central China.展开更多

The chromium coatings differed in with/without the addition of La2O3. Scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDS), X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and microhardness tester were employed to investigate the surface morphologies, surface element distributions, microstructures, phase constitutions and microhardness of the coatings. Friction-wear tests of the P110 steel substrate and the coatings were conducted in air at ambient temperature and humidity. The results show that 'uniform and continuous coatings are formed on P110 steel regardless of adding La2O3 or not. The chromium coatings consist of Cr23C6, Cr7C3, and (Cr, Fe)7C3. The La2O3-added chromium coating is more beneficial in terms of surface morphology, microstructure, thickness and microharduess as compared with the coating without adding La2O3. Chromizing treatment significantly improves the surface hardness and wear resistance of the P110 steel. The wear resistance of the tested samples can be sorted in the following sequence: La2O3-coating 〉 no RE-coating 〉bare P110 steel.展开更多

Aluminum addition was made during the coating process to improve the oxidation resistance by developing hexagonal Mo(Si, Al)2 through the development of the halide activated pack cementation coating process on pure Mo substrate. The results show that Mo(Si, Al)2 formed as a main phase on the surface and a little amount of Mo5Si3 also formed. The total thickness of coating is tens ofμm at 1373K. During the cyclic oxidation test at high temperature(at about 1323K in air), mullite (3Al2O3.2SiO2) and some SiO2 formed. The addition of Al is beneficial for MoSi2 coating and the Al-doped coating exhibited only a small weight gain and protected the Mo substrate, while the MoSi2 coating without Al suffered a significant weight loss, indicating a loss of volatile MoO3 after cycles.展开更多

Old mining works have been clearly seen in the area. Iran is located on global copper belt and as a result it has numerous potential areas as copper deposits. The purpose of this study is identifying possible potentialities of copper mining in less developed regions of Iran with basic modern technologies. In this study, laboratory investigations of this field were done on samples via leaching and the cementation method. According to the study purposes, acid concentration, temperature, time and pulp density were selected as the main factors that were tested in leaching studies. Moreover, pH, temperature, time and the amount of iron powder were factors which were tested for copper cementation. Optimum conditions of leaching studies with 99.11% recovery rate were obtained after 120 grams per liter of H2SO4, 80 degrees Celsius, 2 hours and 100 grams per liter of solid to liquid. On the other hand, optimum conditions of cementation by iron powder were resulted at more than 95% with a pH of 3, 45 degrees Celsius, 1 hour and 1.5 times more than the stoichiometric equation of required iron powder amount to precipitate copper.展开更多

However, the exploitation of so-called unconventional energy, such as shale methane and tight-oil, has become more and more dependent on an understanding of the inner structure of these unconventional reservoirs. The inner structure of porous rocks is very difficult to describe quantitatively using normal mathematics, but fractal geometry, which is a powerful mathematical tool for describing irregularly-shaped objects, can be applied to these rocks. To some degree, the cementation index and tortuosity can be used to describe the complexity of these structures. The cementation index can be acquired through electro-lithology experiments, but, until now, tortuosity could not be quantitatively depicted. This research used the well-logging curves of a gas shale formation to reflect the characteristics of the rock formations, and the changes in the curves to indicate the changes of the rock matrix, the pores, the connections among the pores, the permeability, and the fluid type. The curves that are affected most by the rock lithology, such as gamma ray, acoustic logging, and deep resistivity curves, can provide significant information about the micro-or nanostructure of the rocks. If the rock structures have fractal characteristics, the logging curves will also have fractal properties. Based on the definition of a fractal dimension and the Hausdorff dimension, this paper presents a new methodology for calculating the fractal dimensions of logging curves. This paper also reveals the deep meaning of the rock cementation index, m, through the Hausdorff dimension, and provides a new equation to calculate this parameter through the resistivity and porosity of the formation. Although it represents a very important relationship between the saturation of hydrocarbons with pores and resistivity, the Archie formula was not available for shale and tight rock. The major reason for this was an incorrect understanding of the cementation index, and the calculation of saturation used a single m value from the bottom to the top of the well. Unfortunately, this processing method is clearly inappropriate for the intensely heterogeneous material that is shale and tight rock. This paper proposes a method of calculating m through well-logging curves based on a fractal geometry that can change with different lithologies, so that it would have more agreement with in situ scenarios than traditional methods.展开更多

In order to selectively recover silver without losing other metallic elements from the solution, cementation was adopted with metallic copper. The kinetics of cementation reaction and copper dissolution and mechanism of copper consumption were studied. The results indicated that the rate of cementation reaction and copper consumption were markedly increased with the increase of temperature. For the same cementation recovery of silver , copper consumption at elevated temperature was much higher than that at ambient temperature . Cementation rate and copper consumption rate also increased with the increase of stirring velocity, while copper consumption at different stirring velocity for the same recovery of silver was almost not different. Studies on the chemical mechanism of copper consumption showed that Fe 3+ and residual leaching additive RH in the solution were the main factors that caused extra copper consumption in acidic solutions.展开更多

Variables studied were initial copper ions concentration, rotational speed of the zinc rod, temperature and concentration of organic additives. It was found that cementation reaction is first order in presence and in absence of additives. Increasing concentration of initial copper ions, rotational speed of the zinc rod and temperature were found to increase the rate of cementation. In presence of organic additives an enhancement of the rate was observed, except in presence of methoxyfuranone the rate was found to decrease by an amount ranging from 11.74% to 33.79%. Rate acceleration or inhibition is associated mainly with changes in the structure of the additives as well as its concentration. The apparent activation energy for the cementation process in presence of different additives was estimated and was found to be ranged between 11.8 kJ/mol and 25.95 kJ/mol. These values suggest that the copper removal process in presence of these additives is controlled by diffusion. A scanning electron microscopy study of copper deposits obtained in presence of tolylfuranone, phenylpyrone and methoxyfuranone correlate with their behaviour during the kinetic study. Different reaction conditions and the physical properties of solutions were studied to obtain dimensionless correlation among all these parameters. It was found that on applying cementation reaction on a sample from industrial wastewater in presence of phenylpyrone about 91.9% of Cu2+ are removed.展开更多

文摘In order to improve the high temperature oxidation resistance of TiAl alloy, Y modified silicide coatings were prepared by pack cementation process at 1030, 1080 and 1130 °C, respectively, for 5 h. The coating prepared by Si?Y co-depositing at 1080 °C for 5 h shows relatively good oxidation resistance at 1000 °C in air, and the oxidation rate constant of the coating is about two orders of magnitude lower than that of the bare TiAl alloy.

文摘In order to improve the wear resistance properties of copper substrate, a layer of electroplated nickel was firstly deposited on copper substrate, subsequently these electroplated specimens were treated by slurry pack cementation process with a slurry pack cementation mixture composed of TiO2 as titanizing source, pure Al powder as aluminzing source and also a reducer for titanizing, an activator of NH4Cl and albumen (egg white) as cohesive agent. The minimum friction coefficient was 1/3 and the minimum hardness was 5 times larger than that of pure copper.

文摘The halide-activated pack cementation method is utilized to deposit aluminide coat- ings on TiAl alloys. It is attributed to change in the crystal structure of TiAl3 from the brittle tetragonal DO22 to the ductile cubic L12 by addition of small amount of Nb or Cr.

文摘Objective It has long been controversial that whether authigenic chlorite coatings in sandstone reservoirs can prevent precipitation of siliceous cements. The main objective of the present contribution is to shed light on this problem on the basis of sandstone samples from the Permian Shanxi and Shihezi Formations in the eastern part of the Sulige gas field, Ordos Basin in central China.

文摘In order to obtain a high-performance surface on P110 steel that can meet the requirements in oil/gas field environment, the chromium coatings were fabricated by pack cementation. The wear resistance of the tested samples can be sorted in the following sequence: La2O3-coating 〉 no RE-coating 〉bare P110 steel.

文摘Cadmium was replaced by zinc in ammoniacal system using an electrically enhanced method under ultrasonic waves.Five main influencing factors were investigated by a single-factor experiment to determine the optimum parameters.Cyclic voltammetry and linear sweep voltammetry were applied to investigating the reaction mechanism of electrically enhanced cementation of cadmium on a zinc plate. The optimum parameters were a temperature of 35℃,a cathode-to-anode area ratio of 1:2,an anode current density of 15 A/m2,an ultrasonic frequency of 40 kHz a reaction time of 6 h and an ultrasonic power of 100 W.The extraction rate was 99.21%,and the production of byproduct“floating sponge cadmium”was inhibited. The analysis of the cyclic voltammetry and linear sweep voltammetry diagrams showed that ultrasonic waves can promote and accelerate the replacement reaction, decrease the voltage requirement of the electrically enhanced replacement reaction, and change the reaction steps. In addition, increasing the temperature and ultrasonic power can promote and accelerate electrically enhanced replacement reactions and decrease the electric potential requirement.
文摘A multi-component diffusion coating has been developed to protect Mo-based alloys from high temperature environmental attack. The addition of Al is beneficial for MoSi2 coating and the Al-doped coating exhibited only a small weight gain and protected the Mo substrate, while the MoSi2 coating without Al suffered a significant weight loss, indicating a loss of volatile MoO3 after cycles.

文摘Turbidite sandstones have become increasingly significant in hydrocarbon exploration.Carbonate cementation occur commonly in turbidite reservoirs developing within the Paleocene lacustrine basins,Northeastern China. This study utilizes core data, thin section data and production data to investigate the interaction between the carbonate cementation and hydrocarbon charge within turbidite reservoirs in the Niuzhuang Sub-sag of the Dongying Sag,Bohai Bay Basin,East China. The results reveal that the carbonate cementation is mainly developed at the top and bottom of the turbidite sandbodies, and even forms carbonate cement shells.Three stages of hydrocarbon accumulation are identified based on fluid inclusion analysis:stage I(27.5–24.6 Ma),stage II(14.0–5.0 Ma),and stage III(5.0–0 Ma).The interaction between the carbonate cementation and hydrocarbon charge has significant controls on the formation of a turbidite reservoir. The temporal relations and intensity relations between the two factors should be considered significantly. Moreover, hydrocarbon charge during the early stage can inhibit the carbonate cementation, favoring the hydrocarbon accumulation in turbidite reservoirs. Many deep-lacustrine turbidite sandbodies surrounded by source rocks with abnormal high pressure, are also favorable for hydrocarbon accumulation. These results suggest that some deeply buried turbidite sandbodies with similar geological settings have high potential for hydrocarbon exploration.
文摘One of the Iranian copper deposits that is located east of Iran and also known as a primeval one in that area is Mesgaran Field. On the other hand, optimum conditions of cementation by iron powder were resulted at more than 95% with a pH of 3, 45 degrees Celsius, 1 hour and 1.5 times more than the stoichiometric equation of required iron powder amount to precipitate copper.

文摘The description of pores and fracture structures is a consistently important issue and certainly a difficult problem, especially for shale or tight rocks. This paper proposes a method of calculating m through well-logging curves based on a fractal geometry that can change with different lithologies, so that it would have more agreement with in situ scenarios than traditional methods.

文摘Fugitive dust was cemented, forming larger particles bond in the calcite-consolidation-layer by microbial method. The particular composition, the morphology, and thermal decomposition properties of the samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) spectroscopy, and differential scanning calorimetry-thermogravimetry(DSC-TG). The characterization data obtained showed that loose fugitive dust particles could be bonded and formed the consolidation-layer under the effect of calcite obtained by microbial method successfully. Meanwhile, the sample obtained by microbial method had superior wind-erosion resistance.
文摘An acidic solution containing 280 mg/l silver and others was treated. Studies on the chemical mechanism of copper consumption showed that Fe 3+ and residual leaching additive RH in the solution were the main factors that caused extra copper consumption in acidic solutions.

文摘Cored concrete specimens from seawall exposed to marine environment for 22 years were evaluated by carbonation depth test, rapid chloride permeability test, absorption of water test and microstructure examination. The results show that concrete exposed to marine environment has smaller carbonation depth and carbonation depth of concrete exposed to tidal zone is less than that in splash zone. There are similar water absorption rate and chloride permeability for concrete exposed to splash zone compared with concrete exposed to splash zone removed 3mm surface layer. However, concrete exposed to tidal zone with bio-films has lower chloride permeability and water absorption rate than those of concrete exposed to tidal zone removed 3mm surface layer. In addition,Results of FE-SEM and EDAX indicate that concrete exposed to splash zone has loose structure, exposed finer aggregate and concrete exposed to tidal zone covers by dense structure of oyster cementation and shell.Microstructures analysis further verified that concrete covered with oysters and their cementation has beneficial effects to durability of concrete.
文摘Removal of copper ions from copper sulphate solutions on a rotating zinc rod in absence and in presence of 3(2H)-furanones and 4H-pyran-4-one derivatives was investigated experimentally. It was found that on applying cementation reaction on a sample from industrial wastewater in presence of phenylpyrone about 91.9% of Cu2+ are removed.
文摘The cementation reaction of copper on zinc metal in solutions of different concentrations ofcopper sulphate, at 25℃, has been studied and it is found to be a first order reaction. Moreover, the rates of this reaction at 0.15 mol'L-1 copper sulphate solution have been measured in a varietyof ethanol-water media at temperatures from 20℃ to 40℃. The correlation between the masstransfer coefficient and the dielectric constant has been investigated. Also, the thermodynamicparameters of activation have been calculated. The isokinetic relationship reveals the existenceof compensation effect, where the solute-solvent interactions play an important role.
