Using two series of de novo designed antimicrobial peptides,we studied the effects of peptide length and hydrophobicity/charge(H/C) ratio on the antimicrobial activities.For these peptides,a correlation was established between their antimicrobial efficacy and the leakage,aggregation,and fusion activities on artificial membrane.The results showed that peptides with an H/C ratio of 1.3,and a length of about half of the membrane thickness caused most potent membrane leakage,and negligible membrane aggregation and fusion.In addition,such peptide also exhibited the highest antimicrobial activity.Analysis of the hydrophobic and electrostatic interactions showed that the strength,the order and the position of these interactions determined the activities of the peptides on the artificial membrane and thus the antimicrobial efficacy.Further analyses on the tilt angle of the peptides on the membrane surface indicated that the peptides distorted the membrane in a dynamic mode,instead of being fixed in the membrane at a constant angle. 展开更多

A new electric arc furnace (EAF) steelmaking process with increasing hot metal charging ratio and improving slagging regime simultaneously was developed and applied in a 50 t electric arc furnace for more than a year at No. 1 Steelmaking Plant of Shanxi Taigang Stainless Corporation Limited. The essential fact of the new EAF steelmaking process was to charge hot metal in two portions or steps: firstly, 35wt%-40wt% hot metal was pretreated by blowing oxygen in a specially designed reactor for decar burization and improving hot metal temperature and melting premelted slag; secondly, 30wt% hot metal was charged into EAF with high basicity refining slags from ladle furnace (LF)-vacuum degassing furnace (VD) refining process. The results show that the hot metal charging ratio can reach to about 65wt%-70wt% for the new EAF steelrnaking process; meanwhile, the tap-to-tap time of a 50 t EAF can shorten by 5-10 min, the electricity consumption can decrease by 35-50 kW·h/t, the lime consumption can reduce by 10.5 kg/t of molten steel, and the content of harmful heavy metals in molten steel can be easily controlled to less than the upper limits of aimed steel specification or grade compared with the traditional EAF steelmaking process. In addition, the dephosphorization ability shows a slight strengthening, however, a small degree of lessening for desulphurization ability is observed for the new EAF steelmaking process, but the weakness of desulphurization ability cannot become an obstacle to its further application since a stronger desulphurization ability can be achieved during secondary refining of LF coupled with VD after EAF steelmaking process. 展开更多

The chemical effects on the K shell fluorescence parameters and the radiative Auger intensity ratios of these elements were investigated and the changes in these parameters were interpreted according to the charge transfer process. The samples were excited by 59.5 keV γ-rays from a ^241Am annular radioactive source. K X-rays emitted by samples were counted by an Ultra-LEGe detector with a resolution of 150 eV at 5.9 keV. 展开更多

Experiment of constraining symmetry energy at supra-saturation density with π^-/π^+ at HIRFL-CSR 被引量:1

The possibility of the experiment for constraining the symmetry energy Esym(ρ) at supra-densities via π^-/π^+ probe on the external target experiment of phase I ( ETE(I) ) with part coverage at forward angle... The possibility of the experiment for constraining the symmetry energy Esym(ρ) at supra-densities via π^-/π^+ probe on the external target experiment of phase I ( ETE(I) ) with part coverage at forward angle at HIRFL-CSR is studied for the first time by using the isospin and momentum dependent hadronic transport model IBUU04. Based on the transport simulation with Au+Au collisions at 400 MeV/u, it is found that the differential π^-/π^+ ratios are more sensitive to Esym(ρ) at forward angles in laboratory reference, compared with the total yield ratio widely proposed. The insufficient coverage at lower transverse momentum maintains the sensitivity of the dependence of π^-/π^+ ratio on the Esym(ρ) at high density, indicating that the ETF (I) under construction in Lanzhou provides the possibility of performing the experiment for probing the asymmetric nuclear equation of state. 展开更多

In a supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model(SM) where baryon and lepton numbers are local gauge symmetries(BLMSSM), we investigate the charged lepton flavor violating(CLFV) processes Z→li^±lj^ jafter introducing new gauginos and right-handed neutrinos. In this model, the branching ratios of Z→li^±lj^ jare around(10^-8–10^-10), which approach the present experimental upper bounds. We hope that the branching ratios for these CLFV processes can be detected in the near future. 展开更多
