Nanofibrillated cellulose (NFC) from marram grass (Ammophila arenaria) extracted from plants harvested in the center of Tunisia was used for the first time for the modification of a glassy carbon electrode (GCE), for the sensitive detection of L-tryptophan (Trp). After spectroscopic and morphological characterization of the extracted NFC, the GC electrode modification was monitored through cyclic voltammetry. The NFC-modified electrode exhibited good analytical performance in detecting Trp with a wide linear range between 7.5 × 10−4 mM and 10−2 mM, a detection limit of 0.2 µM, and a high sensitivity of 140.0 µA∙mM−1. Additionally, the NFC/GCE showed a good reproducibility, good selectivity versus other amino acids, uric acid, ascorbic acid, and good applicability to the detection of Trp in urine samples.展开更多

The detection limit is 5 x 10(-9) mol/L and the relative standard deviation for 4 x 10(-8) mol/L Al is 2.9% (n=8). No serious interference was found. The cyclic voltammetric results indicated that there was a couple of well-defined redox peaks for dopamine at the PS/GC electrode with E_(pa)= 220 mV, E_(pc)=95 mV and the formal potential E^(o')= 157. 5 mV(vs. SCE) at 100 mV/s in the buffer solution of pH 7. 0. The PS/GC electrode can also be used to separate the electrochemical responses of ascorbic acid and DA by 54 mV with the differential pulse voltammetry. Under the selected conditions, the oxidation peak currents are linear with DA concetration in the range of 5. 0 × 10^(-6) to 5. 0 × 10^(-4) mol/L, and the detection limit is 1. 0 ×10^(-6) mol/L at S/N=3. An electrochemical method for the simultaneous determination of lead(II) and Cadmium(II) with a calix[6]arene modified carbon paste electrode (CPE) has been developed. Pb2+ and Cd2+ were accumulated at the surface of ...An electrochemical method for the simultaneous determination of lead(II) and Cadmium(II) with a calix[6]arene modified carbon paste electrode (CPE) has been developed. Pb2+ and Cd2+ were accumulated at the surface of the modified electrode via formation of chemical complexes with calix[6]arene, and reduced at 1.40 V. During the following anodic potential sweep, reduced lead and cadmium were oxidized, and two well-defined striping peaks appeared at about ?0.60 V and ?0.84 V. Compared with a bare carbon paste electrode, the calix[6]arene modified CPE greatly improves the sensitivity of determining lead and cadmium. The stripping peak currents change linearly with the concentration of Pb2+ 3.0×10?8–8.0×10?6 mol·L?1 and with that of Cd2+ 6.0×10?8–1.0×10?5 mol ·L?1. The detection limits of Pb2+ and Cd2+ are found to be 8.0×10?9 mol·L?1 and 2.0×10?8 mol·L?1, respectively. The modified carbon paste electrode was applied to determine trace levels of lead and cadmium in water samples. Comparing with that of atomic absorption spectrometry, the results suggests that the calix[6]arene modified CPE has great potential for the practical sample analysis. Thesemoditied electrodes can effectively mediate and catalyze the first and second steps of nitritereduction in acidic media in the potential region 0-0.9V when the loading in the coating (X=F(Os2+) / F(SO3-)) and pH in solution are below 0. 17 and 4, respectively. When X is between 0.33and 0. 17. only the current peak near 0.54V appears regardless of solution pH and only the first stepof NO2 reduction is catalyzed. Thus the modified electrode provides a very useful flexibility thatone can control the reaction pathway and catalytic activity of nitrite reduction by simply changingthe concentration of the mediator in the coating.展开更多

When scan ning between 0-0.8 V (vs. SCE), experimental results indicate that the chemically modified electrode has good stability and reproducibility. This article studied the impedance of the modified electrode by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and approved that the electrode modified by Co^2+ and Mn^2+ has a lower charge transfer resistance than the non-modified electrode. The effect of average particle size distribution is at lower frequencies that the slope of Warburg impedance is reduced by large particle size distribution. The voltage efficiency of the Co^2+ modified electrode test cell is 81.5%, which is higher than that of the non-modified electrode.展开更多

The CME can be used as the working electrode in the liquid chromatography for the determination of 6-MP. The peak current of 6-MP is linearly changed with its concentration ranging from 4.0×10 -7 to 1.0×10 -4 mol/L with the calculated detection limit (S/N=3) of 2.0×10 -7 mol/L. In this research, a glassy carbon electrode modified with the functionalized multi-wall carbon nanotubes(MWNT-COOHs) film was used as an amperometric sensor for the determination of S_2O^(2-)_3, SO^(2-)_3, I^- and SCN...In this research, a glassy carbon electrode modified with the functionalized multi-wall carbon nanotubes(MWNT-COOHs) film was used as an amperometric sensor for the determination of S_2O^(2-)_3, SO^(2-)_3, I^- and SCN^-. The electrochemical behavior of those oxidizable inorganic anions at this modified electrode was studied by means of cyclic voltammetry(CV). The experimental results indicate that the modified electrode exhibits a high electrocatalytic activity towards the oxidation of those anions with a relatively high sensitivity, a good stability and a long-life. Separated by ion chromatography(IC) with 1.25 mmol/L H_2SO_4 as an eluent, those oxidizable anions can be determined by the MWNT-COOHs modified electrode successfully. Under the optimal chromatographic conditions, the detection limits are 1.5×10^(-7) mol/L for S_2O^(2-)_3, 2.5×10^(-7) mol/L for SO^(2-)_3, 1.2×10^(-7) mol/L for I^- and 2.0×10^(-7) mol/L for SCN^-, respectively. In the potential range of -0.5~0.4V, CME yields a pair of stable redox wave. It is the carbonyl group of the ERM molecule immobilized on the GC surface that undergoes two electron redox process involving two protons. The interaction of CME with DNA was also studied by DPV. In the present work,a chemically modified electrode has been fabricated utilizing Bi_(2)O_(3)/ZnO nanocomposite.The nanocomposite was synthesized by simple sonochemical method and characterized for its structural and ...In the present work,a chemically modified electrode has been fabricated utilizing Bi_(2)O_(3)/ZnO nanocomposite.The nanocomposite was synthesized by simple sonochemical method and characterized for its structural and morphological properties by using XRD,FESEM,EDAX,HRTEM and XPS techniques.The results clearly indicated co-existence of Bi_(2)O_(3) and ZnO in the nanocomposite with chemical interaction between them.Bi_(2)O_(3)/ZnO nanocomposite based glassy carbon electrode(GCE)was utilized for sensitive voltammetric detection of an anti-biotic drug(balofloxacin).The modification amplified the electroactive surface area of the sensor,thus providing more sites for oxidation of analyte.Cyclic and square wave voltammograms revealed that Bi_(2)O_(3)/ZnO modified electrode provides excellent electrocatalytic action towards balofloxacin oxidation.The current exhibited a wide linear response in concentration range of 150e1000 nM and detection limit of 40.5 nM was attained.The modified electrode offered advantages in terms of simplicity of preparation,fair stability(RSD 1.45%),appreciable reproducibility(RSD 2.03%)and selectivity.The proposed sensor was applied for determining balofloxacin in commercial pharmaceutical formulations and blood serum samples with the mean recoveries of 99.09% and 99.5%,respectively.展开更多

文摘Graphite material was used as the electrode for an all-vanadium redox flow battery, and the electrode was modified by transition metallic ions to enhance its electrochemical behavior. An porous graphite composite electrode has high specific surface area and high current density. The electrode modified by transition metallic ions has improved catalysis behavior that can catalyze the V(Ⅱ)-V(Ⅴ) redox reaction showed by cyclic voltammograms. This article studied the impedance of the modified electrode by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and approved that the electrode modified by Co^2+ and Mn^2+ has a lower charge transfer resistance than the non-modified electrode. The effect of average particle size distribution is at lower frequencies that the slope of Warburg impedance is reduced by large particle size distribution. The voltage efficiency of the Co^2+ modified electrode test cell is 81.5%, which is higher than that of the non-modified electrode.
文摘A new chemically modified electrode(CME) immobilized on the surface of multi-wall carbon nanotubes functionalized with carboxylic groups was fabricated. The results indicate that the CME exhibits efficiently electrocatalytic oxidation of 6-mercaptopurine(6-MP). The CME can be used as the working electrode in the liquid chromatography for the determination of 6-MP. The peak current of 6-MP is linearly changed with its concentration ranging from 4.0×10 -7 to 1.0×10 -4 mol/L with the calculated detection limit (S/N=3) of 2.0×10 -7 mol/L. Coupled with microdialysis sampling, the method has been successfully applied to assessing the content of 6-MP in rat blood.

文摘In this research, a glassy carbon electrode modified with the functionalized multi-wall carbon nanotubes(MWNT-COOHs) film was used as an amperometric sensor for the determination of S_2O^(2-)_3, SO^(2-)_3, I^- and SCN^-. The electrochemical behavior of those oxidizable inorganic anions at this modified electrode was studied by means of cyclic voltammetry(CV). The experimental results indicate that the modified electrode exhibits a high electrocatalytic activity towards the oxidation of those anions with a relatively high sensitivity, a good stability and a long-life. Separated by ion chromatography(IC) with 1.25 mmol/L H_2SO_4 as an eluent, those oxidizable anions can be determined by the MWNT-COOHs modified electrode successfully. Under the optimal chromatographic conditions, the detection limits are 1.5×10^(-7) mol/L for S_2O^(2-)_3, 2.5×10^(-7) mol/L for SO^(2-)_3, 1.2×10^(-7) mol/L for I^- and 2.0×10^(-7) mol/L for SCN^-, respectively. 文摘The chemically modified electrode (CME) which was constructed by covalent attaching erythromycin (ERM) to the glassy carbon (GC) surface was investigated in Tris-HCl buffer (pH=6.0) by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). In the potential range of -0.5~0.4V, CME yields a pair of stable redox wave. It is the carbonyl group of the ERM molecule immobilized on the GC surface that undergoes two electron redox process involving two protons. The interaction of CME with DNA was also studied by DPV. The CME shows the same interaction with DNA as that in the solution. And the result was proved by fluorescence.

文摘NADPH can be directly oxidized on a carbon nanotube modified glassy carbon (CNT/GC) electrode in phosphate buffer solution (pH=6.0) with a diminution of the overpotential of more than 700 mV. The anodic peak currents increase linearly with the increase of concentration of NADPH in the range of 5 x 10(-7) to 1 x 10(-3) mol/L with a detection limit of about 1 x 10-7 mol/L. The CNT/GC electrode exhibits high sensitivity, low potential and stability in detecting NADPH and thus might be used in biosensors to study the electrocatalytic reaction of important dehydrogenase-based biological systems.
文摘In the present work,a chemically modified electrode has been fabricated utilizing Bi_(2)O_(3)/ZnO nanocomposite.The nanocomposite was synthesized by simple sonochemical method and characterized for its structural and morphological properties by using XRD,FESEM,EDAX,HRTEM and XPS techniques.The results clearly indicated co-existence of Bi_(2)O_(3) and ZnO in the nanocomposite with chemical interaction between them.Bi_(2)O_(3)/ZnO nanocomposite based glassy carbon electrode(GCE)was utilized for sensitive voltammetric detection of an anti-biotic drug(balofloxacin).The modification amplified the electroactive surface area of the sensor,thus providing more sites for oxidation of analyte.Cyclic and square wave voltammograms revealed that Bi_(2)O_(3)/ZnO modified electrode provides excellent electrocatalytic action towards balofloxacin oxidation.The current exhibited a wide linear response in concentration range of 150e1000 nM and detection limit of 40.5 nM was attained.The modified electrode offered advantages in terms of simplicity of preparation,fair stability(RSD 1.45%),appreciable reproducibility(RSD 2.03%)and selectivity.The proposed sensor was applied for determining balofloxacin in commercial pharmaceutical formulations and blood serum samples with the mean recoveries of 99.09% and 99.5%,respectively.
