The ostracod assemblages and their environmental significance in the Chen Co area, southern Tibet in recent 1400 years

The CC1 core, with a length of 216 cm, was drilled in the west part of the Chen Co (Lake) in southern Tibet Plateau. The210Pb and137Cs measurement indicated that it was a consecutive sedimentary sequence since ca. 1400 years. The ostracoda and their assemblages under the level of 1 cm samples’ cutting interval were finished for this core to reveal the past environmental changes in the lake area. A total of 15 species of ostracods belonging to 7 genera in the core sediments had been identified. According to the ostracod distributions, abundances and preservations in the core, seven ostracod assemblages had been distinguished. The ostracod assemblages and their ecological features, together with the sediments dating decision were used to infer the past ca. 1400 years environmental changes of the Chen Co environmental evolutions in three stages, which had responded to the Medieval Ages Warm-period (MAW), the Little Ice Age (LIA) and modern warm period. The results show that the changes of the Chen Co environment had been mainly influenced by the climatic variations. The trend of the lake level fluctuations had been accorded with that of climatic variation during the past 1400 years.

本文基于改进的自适应渐进 II 型删失,对 Chen 分布进行了贝叶斯分析。首先利用 EM 算法得 到了参数的极大似然估计。针对共轭和非共轭的四种信息先验,运用大方差和遗传算法确定了先 验的超参数。进而根据 Metropolis-Hastings 算法实现了后验分布样本的抽取。最后,通过真实 数据集对不同先验下的贝叶斯估计性能进行比较并得出了相应的结论。

Chen混沌系统数值仿真及其电路实现

混沌系统具有随机性、遍历性以及初值敏感等特征,系统轨迹表现出及其的不确定性,在自然可续中到处都存在混沌线性,如何将抽象化的混沌理论直观形象化,一直是从事混沌理论研究者关注的问题。鉴于此,利用Matlab/Simulink仿真软件对Chen混沌系统进行动态仿真,发现系统确实是混沌的,最后通过Mulitisim软件搭建混沌电路,同样观察到混沌相空间吸引子和混沌时序图,其实验结果与前面仿真结果完全相吻合。

Passive control and synchronization of hyperchaotic Chen system

This paper investigates the control and synchronization of hyperchaotic Chen system based on the passive theory. By using two outputs, novel passive controllers are respectively designed to realize the globally asymptotical stability of the hyperchaotic Chen system and the error dynamical system, which avoids mistakes in Ref.[11], where function W（z） cannot guarantee that fo（z） is globally asymptotically stable via only one output and W（z） is the Lyapunov function of f0（z）. Furthermore, numerical simulations are given to show the effectiveness of our method.

A study on environmental changes based upon clado-ceran assemblages from the core sediments in Chen Co,southern Tibet

A consecutive sediment core (CC2) was drilledin Chen Co (lake) of southern Tibet using a PISTON samplerin 1998 AD. Cladoceran remains including their species,amount richness and ecological features are analyzed for thetop 117 cm sections of the core, upon which 5 cladoceranassemblages are distinguished. CL0 is an assemblage withoutany cladocera in the depth between 117-105 cm. CL1 as-semblage (depths between 101-77 cm, ca. 1407-1533 AD)possesses total 9 cladoceran species that appear in the core,and performs the greatest richness in the whole sequence.This assemblage reflected that there was plenty of exotic coldwater and organic debrises inputing to the sedimentary siteunder the warmer conditions. The lake was wide and shallowthat satisfied the big hydrophyte living. Cladoceran speciesand richnesses of CL2 assemblage (depths between 77-29cm, ca. 1533-1831 AD) perform much more decreasing thanthose of CL1. There was only less Chydorus sphaericus whichwas acclimatized to wide environmental ranges. This impliedthat the sedimentary environment is so execrable that mostof cladoceran lost their living abilities. Compared with CL1assemblage, CL3 assemblage (depths between 29-10 cm, ca.1831-1941 AD) possesses nearly the same dominant speciesbut lower richnesses. Especially, the cladoceran preferringorganic debris also decrease in their amounts. This meantthat the surface vegetation in the drainage basin was stillpoor though the environment turned to be better. Except the2 zooplankton species, the other 7 species of cladoceran inthis core are found in CL4 assemblage (depths between 10-0 cm, ca. 1941-1998 AD), in which the eurythermal specieshad not performed their competition ability comparing withnarrow-temperatures adapted species. It implied that watertemperatures were stable and much more influenced by airtemperatures under the shallow-water conditions. The envi-ronmental features reflected by cladocera assemblages ofCC2 core are fully supported by the evidences from ostra-coda assemblages, diatom-salinity transfunction, environ-mental magnetism and relative proxies of the parallel CC1 core. Cladoceran assemblages in the lake sediments of Ti- betan Plateau are sensitive to sedimentary environment and very significant to the studies of environmental changes.

Synchronization in lattices of coupled non-autonomous Chen system via Lyapunov function

This paper considers the synchronization of solutions for lattices of the coupled non-autonomous Chen system. By using the Lyapunov function, we show that when the second coupled operator is negative definite self-adjoint and its coefficient is suitable large, the Chen coupled lattice system is bounded dissipative （In particular, the solutions for lattices of the coupled autonomous Chen system converge to zero as t→∞）. The synchronization between any two solutions of the coupled Chen system can be slaved only by coefficients in the x- or y-component for the suitably large second coupled coefficient. Finally, some numerical simulations are given.

Synchronization of hyperchaotic Chen systems:a class of the adaptive control approach

The synchronization of hyperchaotic Chen systems is considered. An adaptive synchronization approach and a cascade adaptive synchronization approach are presented to synchronize a drive system and a response system. By utilizing an adaptive controller based on the dynamic compensation mechanism, exact knowledge of the systems is not necessarily required, and the synchronous speed is controllable by tuning the controller parameters. Sufficient conditions for the asymptotic stability of the two synchronization schemes are derived. Numerical simulation results demonstrate that the adaptive synchronization scheme with four control inputs and the cascade adaptive synchronization scheme with only one control signal are effective and feasible in chaos synchronization of hyperchaotic systems.

A Study on the Chemical Constituents of Pilea sinofasciata C. J.Chen

[Objectives] To study the chemical constituents of Pilea sinofasciata C. J. Chen. [Methods] Column chromatography,such as silica gel,Sephadex LH-20 and preparative HPLC were used to isolate and purify the compounds. Spectroscopic methods like MS,1H NMR and^(13)C NMR and physical constants were used to elucidate their structure. [Results]Ninteen compounds were isolated from 95% ethanol extracts of Pilea sinofasciata C. J. Chen,including α-tocopherol(1),stigmasterol(2),epihernandulcin(3),hernandulcin(4),benzoic acid(5),ethyl linolenate(6),ethyl hexadecanoate(7),α-amyrin(8),palmitic acid(9),behenic acid(10),adenosine(11),indole-3-carboxylic acid(12),protocatechuate(13),gallic acid(14),betulinic acid(15),oleanolic acid(16),potassium nitrate(17),diosmetin7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside( 18),3-O-β-D-xylopyranosyl(1→2)-β-D-glucopyranosyl-28-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl oleanolic acid(19). [Conclusions] All of the compounds were isolated from the plant for the first time.

Theoretical and experimental study of Chen chaotic system with notch filter feedback control

Since the past two decades, the time delay feedback control method has attracted more and more attention in chaos control studies because of its simplicity and efficiency compared with other chaos control schemes. Recently, it has been proposed to suppress low-dimensional chaos with the notch filter feedback control method, which can be implemented in a laser system. In this work, we have analytically determined the controllable conditions for notch filter feedback controlling of Chen chaotic system in terms of the Hopf bifurcation theory. The conditions for notch filter feedback controlled Chen chaoitc system having a stable limit cycle solution are given. Meanwhile, we also analysed the Hopf bifurcation direction, which is very important for parameter settings in notch filter feedback control applications. Finally, we apply the notch filter feedback control methods to the electronic circuit experiments and numerical simulations based on the theoretical analysis. The controlling results of notch filter feedback control method well prove the feasibility and reliability of the theoretical analysis.

Comparison of Integrated Urban-Rural Development between Chongqing and Chengdu

On the basis of review of integrated urban and rural development process in Chengdu and Chongqing, we summed up experience of reform and compared the practice in these two regions. Results show that both regions have opened free flow of rural and urban factors, made detailed and scientific planning of integrated urban and rural development, and carried out exploration in equalization of urban and rural public service.

Hybrid Synchronization of a Chen Hyper-Chaotic System with Two Simple Linear Feedback Controllers

This paper brings attention on the hybrid synchronization of the Chen hyper-chaotic system by using some simple controllers. We give the sufficient conditions for achieving the goal by using the Lyapunov stability theory, and we verify our conclusion by numerical simulations.

Liver Lead Levels in Snow Goose (Chen caerulescens) in a Wetland near the City of Durango, Mexico

The use of lead in ammunition for hunting exposes waterfowl to lead poisoning (plumbism) by accidental consumption of shotgun pellets. To test this hypothesis we sampled 18 liver tissue samples of Snow Goose (Chen caerulescens) collected during the 2012-2013 hunting season in a wetland near the city of Durango, Mexico. We quantified liver lead levels using an atomic absorption spectrophotometer and portions of liver were fixed and stained for their histological study. Average lead concentration (in dry weight) were under the normal range (mean = 0.73 ± 0.2, standard error) which do not represent any risk of poisoning. Liver tissue injuries were not observed in the histopathological analysis, suggesting no reaction to a xenobiotic agent such as lead. Gastrointestinal content analysis showed lead pellet in the gizzard of one individual, but we could not find a relationship between pellet ingestion and lead concentration in the liver. Although the results did not provide evidences of lethal or sublethal effects caused by lead poisoning, they show a possible risk due to the presence of lead pellets in the digestive tract.
