Comparative Analysis between Community and Occupants’ Rating Systems for Sustainable Urban Communities (SUC)

Overpopulation globally is an addressed issue impacting human lives, marine lives, and the surrounding ecosystem;it is adding pressure on the available resources that should be optimized to suit the needs. Yet with improper management of resources and monitoring of daily activities, the environment will be further negatively impacted. With overpopulation higher urbanization rates are noticed with the demand of seeking better health facilities, better education, better jobs and better well-being;this progression is driving more demand into the infrastructure sector to be able to accommodate the growth rates. Hence, the need to having sustainable communities aiming at optimizing the resources used, working towards more feasible, environmentally friendly and cost-effective communities with a better occupant’s experience is in action. Sustainable development goals (SDG) are vital goals developed by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in 2015 to address and guide through 17 interconnected global goals serving the previously mentioned trend. Out of the 17 goals, Sustainable Cities and Communities (goal #11) and Good Health and Well-Being (goal #3) are the focus of this paper directed towards holding a comparative analysis between the community scale commonly known and mostly used rating system Leadership of Energy and Environmental Design (LEED-Cities and Communities) (USA) versus similar rating systems like Tarsheed-Communities (Egypt) and Estidama-Pearl (UAE) rating systems meeting sustainable development goal #11. Conjointly, another complimenting comparative review of the occupant’s health and wellbeing rating systems, such as Fitwel (USA) and Well (USA) are studied under sustainable development goal #3;however, they are focused on a building scale assessment. Living Community Challenge (LCC, USA) rating system linking community rating system with health & wellbeing credits was first issued in 2006, yet is it not cost effective neither easy to apply acting as a primary step while being affordable, accessible, and easy to implement. The objective of this paper is to highlight the pros and gaps under both categories of studies of community rating system and occupants’ health & wellbeing rating systems based on scientific content and commercial acceptance and do-ability. This comparison is done via comparing credits and sections within each rating system type;this will support in addressing the focal points needed for an integrated rating system between both categories that will serve in meeting SDG Sustainable Cities and Communities (goal #11) and Good Health and Well-Being (goal #3).

Why rapid urbanization can’t improve employment absorption capacity of service industry in China:reflections on innovating the model of interaction between service industry development and urbanization under economic transformation and upgrading

Mathematical models show that the urbanization process is an important factor affecting the transfer of labor among economic sectors.The regression results using time-series data since China’s reform and opening up show that there is significant positive correlation between urbanization and the service industry’s ability to create jobs.However,there is no Granger Causation between them.Therefore,China should shift from focusing on industry park construction to paying more attention to improving urban functions by increasing their employment density of urban services.

Study of Consistency of Needs and Attitudes of Pharmacists towards Consumers/Patients in Retail Pharmacies in Georgia

Background:The demand for the pharmaceutical services in retail pharmacies has increased over the last decade.The aim of the study is to study the requirements of patients/customers in a modern changing environment to ensure that appropriate pharmaceutical care is provided to increase customer loyalty while taking into account the concept of pharmaceutical care.The study also examined the competence and attitudes of pharmacists in pharmaceutical care to meet the patient’s requirements.Methods:The study was conducted in December 2020.526 patients/pharmacy customers and 1,309 pharmacists participated in the study,via the online questionnaire.Participants were presented with questions such as“I visit pharmacy to buy products”and used 3 or 5-point scale to indicate their response.Results:When choosing a pharmacy,the costumers/patients prioritize:the quality of pharmaceutical services,speed of service,assortment,competence of the pharmacist and the price of the products;while receiving pharmaceutical care,customers want pharmacists to be oriented on them,to be professional and communicate in an understandable language.In pharmaceutical care,the pharmacists’visions and attitudes are consistent and meet with costumers’requirements.Conclusions:In Georgia,the pharmacy is no longer perceived as just a place to buy a medication,but 50%of customers go to the pharmacy to purchase cosmetic and hygiene products.Modern patient/costumer expectations tend to increase the speed and quality of pharmaceutical services.Considering the risks of the patients,it is recommended to expand the modern approaches-new technologies and online services to improve/accelerate the processes in retail pharmacies.

定制公交的博弈定价方法

定制公交是一种新兴的公共交通方式,其对于城市公交体系是一种补充和完善,并且已引起城市公交出行方式的变化.文中在对城市交通出行方式的选择概率模型进行分析的基础上,以定制公交和普通公交的客票收入最大化作为博弈目标,构建两种公交方式的票价博弈模型,并进行模型解的分析和实际案例的计算.研究结果表明,合理制定票价方案能够使定制公交和普通公交获得均衡发展的条件,并促进不同公交方式的协调发展,实现城市公交优先的交通发展目标.

基于服务簇的南宁市生态系统服务权衡与协同关系研究

阐明多种生态系统服务之间的关系及相互作用机制可有效提高生态系统可持续供给能力。采用InVEST模型估算了南宁市6种典型生态系统服务,运用双变量Moran′s I指数探讨生态系统服务间权衡与协同关系,采用主成分因子分析和聚类分析识别出不同生态系统服务簇。结果表明:(1)南宁市6种典型生态系统服务格局呈现显著空间异质特征,除产水量以外,其余生态系统服务均呈郊区高、城区低的分布格局;(2)支持服务与调节服务呈现协同关系,供给服务与其他服务之间既有协同关系也有权衡关系;(3)主成分1和3反映生态系统服务受共同驱动因子影响,主成分2反映生态系统服务的相互抑制作用;(4)根据聚类分析结果,可将南宁市分为5类生态系统服务簇,分别为山地生态均衡区、森林生态保育区、城市生态脆弱区、丘陵产量区和河谷水土流失区。研究成果可为南宁市土地利用配置优化和生态健康可持续发展提供科学依据。

科技兴市信息网和ＣｈｉｎａＩｎｆｏ资源系统的建设与发展分别代表了信息服务从传统到联机以及从联机到Ｉｎｔｅｒｎｅｔ两次飞跃的历程。在这两次飞跃中，信息服务的增值作用得到了增加和扩展，使得用户更快捷、方便地得到更丰富、全面、准确的信息。

滁州市生态系统服务价值分析及趋势预测

为促进区域生态经济可持续发展,基于4期TM影像数据,采用Costanza的生态系统服务价值(ESV)计算模型与敏感性指数,对研究区2000—2015年土地利用变化信息及其对ESV的影响进行研究,最后利用灰色GM(1,1)模型,预测了滁州市在2015—2025年间的发展趋势。结果表明:滁州市ESV 2000—2005年增加了4.40×108~元,2005—2015年减少5.16×10~8元;在2000—2015年间,滁州市生态系统单项服务价值总体减少,减少量为7.7×10~7元。从各县市情况来看,各县市的ESV比例均在10%～21%,其中明光市ESV量占比最高,超过20%。15年间,价值变化率最大的是市辖区,为-15.53%。预测结果表明,到2025年研究区ESV将减少到2.175 6×10^(10)元。研究结果可为滁州市科学利用土地提供理论依据。

总分馆服务模式下的儿童阅读推广实践研究——以大连少儿馆为例

[目的 /意义]分析总分馆服务模式对开展阅读推广活动的推动作用,介绍大连少儿馆依托总分馆服务模式开展的主题阅读活动,为公共图书馆开展儿童阅读推广活动提供可以借鉴的经验。[方法 /过程]采用深度访谈法,了解大连少儿馆总分馆服务模式的实践现状。该馆构建了政策、资金和管理三位一体的总分馆服务模式,搭建了全民阅读推广的少儿阅读平台,开展了系列主题阅读活动,包括彩虹桥阅读(包括馆内品牌系列阅读推广活动和总分馆联动阅读推广活动)和数字扶贫两大主题。[结果 /结论]总分馆服务能够充分发挥总馆对各级分馆的文献资源保障和阅读引导作用,也为开展对西部贫困地区的阅读帮扶创造了条件。
