Methods:...Objective: To test the therapeutic effect of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine on venous ulcer of lower limbs by Meta analysis method, and then to propose the best clinical treatment scheme. Methods: Domestic databases in the past 20 years (January 1999-December 2019) were searched by computer, including China Journal Full-text Database (CNKI), VIP, Wanfang and CBM. Literature was screened according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Cochrane risk assessment tool was used to evaluate the quality of the included literature. Two-classification method was used to extract data. RevMan 5.3 software was used to make statistical analysis of the data. Results: Eleven articles were finally included, totaling 1,576 patients, 804 cases in the treatment group and 772 cases in the control group. Meta-analysis results show that there is no difference in heterogeneity and bias among the included literatures. The total effective rate (risk ratio [RR]=1.12, 95% confidence interval [CI]=1.09-1.15) of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in treating venous ulcer of lower limbs is higher, which is obviously better than that of western medicine alone. Conclusion: Through data analysis, it is concluded that in the study population, the treatment of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine has a significant effect on venous ulcer of lower limbs. Make up for the deficiency of simple western medicine treatment, improve the cure rate and reduce the recurrence rate. However, there is currently a lack of relevant high-quality literature, so a large sample size, rigorous and standardized experimental design and randomized double-blind clinical study are needed to further test the conclusions.展开更多

Methods: The data of 67 LS-SCLC patients who received combined treatment of Chinese medicine(CM) and Western medicine(WM) between January 2013 and May 2020 at the outpatient clinic of Guang’anmen Hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Thirty-six LS-SCLC patients who received only WM treatment was used as the WM control group. The medical data of the two groups were statistically analyzed. Survival analysis was performed using the product-limit method(Kaplan–Meier analysis). The median OS and PFS were calculated, and survival curves were compared by the Log rank test. The cumulative survival rates at 1, 2, and 5 years were estimated by the life table analysis. Stratified survival analysis was performed between patients with different CM administration time. Results: The median PFS in the CM and WM combination treatment group and the WM group were 19 months(95% CI: 12.36–25.64) vs. 9 months(95% CI: 5.96–12.04), respectively, HR=0.43(95% CI: 0.27–0.69, P <0.001). The median OS in the CM and WM combination group and the WM group were 34.00 months(95% CI could not be calculated) vs. 18.63 months(95% CI: 16.43–20.84), respectively, HR=0.40(95% CI: 0.24–0.66, P<0.001). Similar results were obtained in the further stratified analysis of whether the duration of CM administration exceeded 18 and 24 months(P<0.001). Conclusion: The combination treatment of CM and WM with continuing oral administration of CM treatment after the first-line chemoradiotherapy for LS-SCLC patients produced better prognosis, lower risks of progression, and longer survival than the WM treatment alone.(Registration No. Chi CTR2200056616)展开更多

The appropriate combination of CM with WM can reduce toxicity and enhance effects in order to make the best use of advantages and bypass the disadvantages. However, an inappropriate combination can not only affect the curative effect but even cause death. Therefore, strengthening the complementary advantages of the CM and WM to improve the therapeutic efficacy and reduce side effects has become an important research topic of clinical medicine and pharmacy. Many researchers try to clarify the effects of combining CM with WM on therapeutic efficacy and absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion by pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics studies, providing evidence for clinical application. This review focuses on the new developments in the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of the combination of CM with WM in order to give references for clinical treatment.展开更多

But there are no confirmed measures to relieve this problem at present. Traditional Chinese medical comprehensive therapy has its advantages in dealing with this condition. Based on the research status of CRF, the following problems have been analyzed and solved: the term of CRF has been defined and recommended, and the definition has been made clear; the disease mechanism is proposed, i.e. healthy qi has been impaired in the long-term disease duration, in the process of surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and biology disturbing; it is clear that the clinical manifestations are related to six Chinese medicine patterns: decreased functioning of the Pi (Spleen) and Wei (Stomach), deficiency of the Pi with dampness retention, deficiency of the Xin (Heart) and Pi, disharmony between the Gan (Liver) and Pi, deficiency of the Pi and Shen (Kidney), and deficiency of the Fei (Lung) and Shen. Based on its severity, the mild patients are advised to have non-drug psychological intervention and sleep treatment in cooperation with appropriate exercise; diet therapy are recommended to moderate patients together with sleep treatment and acupuncture, severe patients are recommended to have herbal treatment based on pattern differentiation together with physiological sleep therapy.展开更多
