METHODS: The State Intellectual Property Office Patents Database, China Patent Information Center Patents Database, Soopat Patent Search Platform, and CNIPR Search Platform of Chinese and Foreign Patent Database were searched to identify Traditional Chinese Medicine compound prescription patents for mammary gland hyperplasia that had been maintained for at least 5 years. Logistic regression analysis was used to detect the factors influencing the maintenance of valid patents. RESULTS: From 1 January 1993 to 31 December 2019, a total of 1228, Traditional Chinese Medicine compound prescription patents for mammary gland hyperplasia were authorized. Of these applications, 381 patents were granted and only 176 patents were maintained for more than 5 years. The five independent variables assessed in this study all had significant explanatory functions. CONCLUSIONS: The maintenance of valid patents for Traditional Chinese Medicine compound prescriptions for treating mammary gland hyperplasia is of great importance. The maintenance of such patents depends on many factors, such as the concentration of effective herbs, number of dependent claims, provision of new dosage forms and detailed experimental data, and transfer of patent rights.展开更多

Methods: Fifty four male Sprague Dawley rats were rando mly divided into 6 groups (9 rats in each group). From the first day to the 28th day of the experiment, except to those in the sham model control group that were treated with normal saline, the same amount of bleomycin injection as the n ormal saline given to the control group was given through endotracheal instillat ion to all the rats in all the other groups. From the 29th day of the modeling, CBRP solution of different dosages was respectively injected into the rats in th e high, moderate and low CBRP dose group, while equal volume of normal saline w as given to those in the sham model control group and the model control group , and an equal volume of prednisone solution was given to rats in the prednisone group. On the 80th day, the high resolution computerized tomographic (HRCT) images were observed on an equal footing, and HRCT pathology was correlativel y studied. Results: Different HRCT pathological changes were shown in th e rats with pulmonary fibrosis, such as lung consolidation, thickening of interl obular septum and interlobular mesenchyma as well as lobular deformation, nodule shadow, abnormal brochiovascular tract, thickened pleura with irregular junctio n and polished glass like dense shadows. Honeycomb lung was observed in some cases. Pathological sections showed fibrotic proliferation of lung tissues and noticeable pulmonary interstitial fibrosis. CBRP could improve HRCT images of rats with pulmonary fibrosis, and lower fibrotic p roliferation of the lung tissue. Conclusion: CBRP plays its therapeutic role possibly through its effect on the structure of the lung in rats with pulmonary fibrosis.展开更多

Compatibility of effective components of Chinese herbal medicine is a new model of compound research in recent ten years. Many clinical commonly used by prescription, after thousands of years of tradition, the effect of doubt, but with modem effect based mechanism is still not clear enough, become a bottleneck in research and development of new drugs of traditional Chinese medicine. The study on the efficacy of compound and the mechanism of modem action has been achieved through group allocation. Study on the compound system in this article provides a method for the modem study of Chinese herbal compound on, there will be conducive to the scientific connotation of system, deeply reveals Chinese herbal compound, guiding drug development, better inheritance and development of traditional Chinese medicine theory.展开更多

Herein, the method was used to estimate the pharmacodynamics of Mai-Luo-Ning injection, a traditional Chinese compound herbal prescription. Through investigating the interactions between several important proteins in cardiovascular system and characteristic components of the formula, its effect on cardiovascular protection was evaluated. Results showed the differences in the interactions between each component and the selected target proteins and revealed the possible mechanisms for synergistic effects of various characteristic components on cardiovascular protection. The study provided scientific evidence supporting the mechanistic study of the interactions among multi-components and targets, offering a general approach to investigating the pharmacodynamics of complicated materials in compound herbal prescriptions.展开更多
