Research on Economic Impact of Super Rice on Rice Growers and Contribution to Food Security

Super rice is an essendal part of China＇s rice production. Through survey on actual situation of 1568 households of rice growers in Heilongjiang, Hunan and Zhejiang provinces, this paper focused on influence of super rice development on increase of China＇s grain yield, influence on increase of rice growers＇ economic in- come, difference in production cost and profit between the North and the South, as well as profit percentage of super rice in production, processing, and sales. It obtained following results： rice price determines rice growers＇ income; expansion of super rice extension area plays a great role in increase of China＇s grain yield; by 2015 and 2020, keeping the yield of other crops not changed, merely the extension of super rice can increase grain for 5 million tons and 11 million tons separately; super rice significantly increases rice growers＇ economic income; for production cost of super rice, the South is higher than the North, and the profit ratio of cost is up to 35.54% on average; with respect of profit in production, processing, and sales, the ratio is 1：2：1.5; with the yield of other crops unchanged, every increase of 1% in area percentage of super rice to rice will additionally produce 1 million tons of grain for China, which is equivalent to saving the yield of 133 300 hm2 farmland and can additional feed 3.5 million people. In view of importance of super rice production, at the same time of strengthening research on super rice variety, it is required to accelerate expanding production area of super rice in suitable areas. Since the development of super rice can support China＇s ration demand of increasing population, China should make effort to realize ＂one yuan for one mu＂ financial subsidy for super rice of main grain production provinces and counties. Besides, China should establish special financial plan for extension of super rice.

The Economic Contribution of Natural Resources to a State Economy: A South Carolina Case Study

The structure of state or sub-state regional economies is heavily influenced by its natural resource endowment. Input-output analysis is often used to estimate the economic contribution of various sectors to a state’s economy. We apply input-output analysis to South Carolina’s economy to estimate the contribution of natural resource-based sectors to the overall economy. The natural resource-based sectors consist of six mutually exclusive sectors: fishing, hunting, and wildlife viewing;coastal tourism;commercial fisheries;boat industry;mining;and forestry. The total economic contribution of these six natural resource-based sectors is $33.4 billion, representing 8.3% of gross state product and 8.6% of all state employment.

Quantitative Analysis on Economic Contribution of Community Health Service in China

In China, the implementation of community health service shows that the prevention is an essential and important part of our national health system and is helpful to decrease the medical expenditure gradually. According to the data from Health Statistic Information Center of Ministry of Health in China, we calculated that the total health expenditure of China would be decreased 8000.0 million yuan only in 2001, among which, 1188.3 million, 1953.9 million and 4833.0 million yuan were respectively saved for the government budget, the society and resident if implementing the policy of community health service powerfully. And every outpatient can save 15.46 yuan per time. By the quantitative analysis on the economic contribution of community health service, it can be proved that a great economic benefit could be gotten from the implementation of community health service.

The Economic Contribution and World Influence of China's Reform and Development Governance

This article summarizes a series of valuable accomplishments of China's government in promoting economic development, reducing poverty, maintaining social stability, and increasing people's prosperity since 1949. It summarizes the economic analysis framework of development governance in mainstream economics, and further analyzes the connotations and extensions of the conceptual framework. This paper also summarizes some of the core economic characteristics embodied in China's Reform and Development Governance since the reform, and further explores the necessity and direction of its future modernization and its impacts on different countries and regions in the world.

China＇s Contributions to the World： Economic Growth, Resource . Consumption and Global Imbalance

This paper makes systematic observations of China＇s contributions to global macroeconomic growth and bulk commodity consumption. Our observations suggest that while China＇s economic size is relatively small on a per capita basis, its contributions are large in terms of overall volume; moreover, the economy has experienced tremendous growth. Quantifying these characteristics that are unique to China＇s development creates a realistic background upon which China can re-examine its trade and economic policies and strategic thinking.

The contribution of cultivated land occupation by construction to China＇s economic growth

The paper applies Cobb-Douglas Production Function and Solow-Swan Model to constructing the calculation model of the contribution rate of cultivated land occupation by construction （CLOC） to China＇s economic growth,and analyzes the contribution change of CLOC to China＇s economic growth qualitatively and quantitatively.The main conclusions are as follows：1） From 1989 to 2007,the contribution rates of capital,labor,and CLOC to China＇s economic growth were 45.76%,8.47%,and 6.19% respectively.2） From the period 1989-1996 to the period 1997-2007 the contribution rate of CLOC to China＇s economic growth increased from 5.40% to 5.87%.The degree of contribution was enhanced significantly.3） The contribution of CLOC to China＇s economic growth had a spatial distribution characteristic that the contribution rate of eastern coastal regions was the highest,that of central regions came second,and that of western regions the lowest.The paper indicates that in order to enhance the contribution of CLOC to China＇s economic growth,some relevant economic and administrative measures might be taken,and land might be used intensively and economically to increase land economic density.The cost of promoting gross domestic product （GDP） growth might be reduced as much as possible to achieve higher GDP growth and lower land resource consumption.

A Modified CES Production Function Model and Its Application in Calculating the Contribution Rate of Energy and Other Influencing Factors to Economic Growth

In the analysis of economic growth factors, the constant elasticity of substitution(CES)production function model is used to calculate the contribution rates of influencing factors to economic growth. However, the traditional CES production function model fails to consider the staged characteristics of economic growth. Therefore, this study provides a modified model of the CES production function. With regard to its application, a new method for calculating the contribution rates of energy and other influencing factors to economic growth is proposed using a modified CES production function model. This work concludes by calculating the contribution rates of Chinese energy and other influencing factors to economic growth.

A study on the rate of contribution of education investment to the economic growth in China

There is an evident bi-directional causality relationship between education investment and economic growth based on an analysis of statistics from 1952 to 2003 released by the State Statistics Bureau.A generalized difference regression model is set up to investigate the relationship between the two.Studies show that the rate of contribution of education investment to economic growth was 24.4 percent from 1952 to 2003.Further examination indicates that after the market-oriented economy restructuring,this rate increased by a wide margin of 7 percent,from 22.8 percent to 29.7 percent.

Analysis on the Output Elasticity and Contribution Rate of Energy Consumption to Economic Growth in China's Yangtze River Economic Zone

Many studies have shown that energy consumption plays an important role in economic growth.The paper researches the influence of energy consumption on economic growth in China’s Yangtze River Economic Zone.The paper divides the energy of Yangtze River Economic Zone into the coal,the oil,the natural gas and the electricity and explores the influences of coal consumption,gas consumption,natural gas consumption and electricity consumption on economic growth quantitatively using an extended production function model.The paper mainly uses two methods.The first method is the output elasticity analysis.The paper calculates the four energy consumption’s output elasticity to economic growth to compares the influences of energy consumption in terms of out output elasticity.The second method is the contribution rate analysis.The paper calculates the contribution rates of four energy consumption to economic growth to compare the influences of four energy consumption on economic growth in terms of contribution rate.The paper makes an empirical analysis on the influence of energy consumption on economic growth in China’s Yangtze River Economic Zone.Analysis results show that oil consumption has the greatest influence on economic growth in China’s Yangtze River Economic Zone,in terms of both output elasticity and contribution rate,followed by natural gas consumption,electricity consumption and coal consumption.

The Evolutive Law concerning Relationship between Economic Growth and Farmers' Income Increase in Xinjiang since the Reform and Opening-up:An Empirical Analysis of the VEC Model

We select the per capita gross domestic product and rural residents' per capita net income in Xinjiang as the indicator variables to measure economic growth and farmers' income increase in Xinjiang, respectively. We establish the cointegration equation, the vector error correction (VEC) model, and use the impulse response function to conduct empirical analysis of the evolutive law concerning relationship between economic growth and farmers' income increase in Xinjiang during the period 1978-2010. The results show that there is a cointegration relationship between economic growth in Xinjiang and farmers' income increase; the former plays an important role in promoting the latter, following the evolutive law "first intensify, then abate, intensify again, and finally become stable". We put the following policy recommendations: providing preferential policies for farmers, scientifically and rationally guiding the transfer of rural labor; improving the function of agriculture, increasing the proportion of non-farm income; gradually bridging the widening income gap between urban and rural areas, coordinating urban and rural development.

Positive Research on China’s Economic Growth Quality——Analyze the Fluctuating Situation of the Factor Input and Aggregative Productivity

To analyze China’s fluctuating situation of the factor input and aggregative productivity is not only the main method to seek the source of the economic growth but also the main way to weigh the level of economic growth quality.As to economic growth ofa country,the improvementofthe productivity is extremely important.The growth of the output can be realized through two kinds of ways: increasing the quantity of factor input of or improving the efficiency of the input and output.There fore, the level of economic growth quality does not mainly depend on the amount of invested factor,but the importance of improving the productivity since resources are rare. The relative improvement of efficiency in use of the invested factor marks the economic growing quality.So,in order to understand the economic growth quality of China to some extent, it must analyze Chinese factor input and aggregative productivity. This is the main topic that this text will be probed into.

Effect of Labor Skills Training on Industrial Development and Economic Benefits of Winter Potato in Regions Inhabited by Ethnic Minorities : A Case Study of Lancang Lahu Autonomous County

Using three kinds of labor skills training methods(expert team training,recruit training and local agricultural extension center training),based on enterprise planting and farmer planting,this paper analyzes the impact of training methods on the development of potato industry,such as yield,income and planting extension.The results show that the expert team training,recruit training and labor skills training of local agricultural extension center can significantly improve the labor quality and skills,and increase the yield and income of winter potatoes.The expert team training,recruit training and local agricultural extension center training can lift growers out of poverty and improve the willingness of people to plant and extend.The winter potato industry has become one of the pillar industries to shake off poverty and become rich,increasing local economic benefits.Through labor skills training,the winter potato industry has become one of the main industries to improve the quality of the local people and increase economic income,promoting the local people to shake off poverty and become well-off.

A model of regional economic development with increasing returns

This paper develops mathematically and empirically tractable regional and interregional model of economic devel-opment with increasing returns to scale (IRS) under the neoclassical assumptions. A one-sector, two-region model in which one region exhibits IRS is presented and the whole nation presents constant returns to scale. The development of the local IRS economy is shown to be constrained to a “moving equilibrium” path. The preliminary empirical results are sufficiently supportive of the argument to encourage further research along the lines of the model. In particular, the neoclassical model does not predict negative coefficients on the real rental value of capital in regressions explaining population or employment relative to that in the nation.

数字普惠金融何以影响农民增收?——理论机制与县域证据

探究数字普惠金融能否富民增收对实现共同富裕具有重要意义。基于拓展的内生经济增长模型,本文构建一个数字普惠金融影响农民收入的理论分析框架,并利用2014—2020年长江经济带县域数据实证研究数字普惠金融对农民收入的影响机制、作用渠道与空间溢出效应。研究结果显示,数字普惠金融能够增加农民收入;从细分维度看,数字普惠金融的覆盖广度和使用深度对农民收入存在促进作用,而且覆盖广度的促进作用更强。农业技术进步、农民物质资本积累和农村人力资本积累是数字普惠金融促进农民收入增加的重要传导路径。异质性分析发现,长江经济带下游县域数字普惠金融对农民的增收效果最强,中游其次,上游最弱,而且对于收入水平高、人口规模大和耕地规模大的县域,数字普惠金融对农民的增收效应更强。从空间视角来看,数字普惠金融具有空间溢出效应且存在明显的溢出边界。本文研究结论为农民增收提供了基于数字普惠金融发展视角的经验证据与政策启示。

1988-2020年新疆棉花生产格局与贡献因素

为摸清新疆棉花生产变化与增产格局,本研究基于1988—2020年新疆棉花生产相关数据,运用数理统计和重心模型等方法对新疆棉花生产时空格局进行分析,探讨了棉花增产格局与贡献因素。结果表明,1988年以来新疆棉花生产变化呈现两个阶段:波动增长时期(1988—2014年),棉花产量由17.12万t增至337.85万t,种植面积由22.13万hm^(2)增至197.00万hm^(2);波动下降时期(2015—2020年),棉花产量波动降至302.70万t,种植面积减至163.67万hm^(2)。1988—2020年,新疆大部分地市棉花产量、种植面积和单产显著增加,但各地差异明显,南疆在新疆棉花生产中地位突出,阿克苏、喀什和巴音郭楞三地对新疆棉花增产贡献为65.43%。北疆和东疆哈密棉花产量增速快于南疆地区,致使棉花生产重心向东北方向迁移300.96 km,由喀什迁移至阿克苏。从贡献因素看,新疆棉花增产主要为种植面积主导(74.61%),未来新疆应将提高棉花单产作为保障棉花产量的主要途径。

计及子过程贡献度的电压暂降经济损失评估方法

现有电压暂降经济损失评估方法一般通过计算过程中断概率评估用户经济损失,然而实际工业用户各子过程对电压暂降经济损失影响程度不同,计算过程中断概率未能表征各子过程对电压暂降经济损失的影响程度,由此得到的损失评估值无法真实反映用户受损程度。为此,提出一种计及子过程贡献度的电压暂降经济损失评估方法:构建基于支持向量机概率输出的敏感设备失效概率评估模型;建立考虑子过程参数变化的参数偏移度函数,修正子过程中断概率;同时,提出子过程贡献度指标量化各子过程对电压暂降经济损失的影响程度,以评估值与损失样本偏差最小为目标求解最优子过程贡献度,建立用户损失评估模型。对某企业的实例分析验证了所提方法的有效性。
