Feasibility Study of Optimal Sizing of Micro-Cogeneration System for Convenience Stores in Bangkok

In this paper, the optimization of micro-cogeneration (μ-CHP) system sizing for convenience stores in Thailand is conducted under the present condition of fuel prices and tariff rates. The assessment of (μ-CHP) system performance is analyzed by using Primary Energy Saving (PES) Ratio for evaluating the energy performance. Also, the Annual Cost Saving Ratio (CSR) and Payback Period (PBP) are used for evaluating the economic performance of μ-CHP system. The analysis results show the optimal size of μ-CHP system under possible conditions including the operating schedule and system’s efficiency were conducted.

Convenience Analysis of Public Service Facilities in the Walking Circle of Urban Housing Estates

A walkable urban built environment with convenient facilities is the key to improve the living quality of urban residents and build a livable city in the new era.Taking each urban housing estate as the center and based on walking accessibility,the walking circle of housing estates was constructed.Taking the six functional systems of convenient shopping,catering service,fi nancial service,scientifi c research and education,leisure and entertainment,and medical service as evaluation factors,and considering the actual frequency of residents’use of various public service facilities and the reduction of walking,the convenience evaluation system of public service facilities was established.Taking the urban built environment within the Second Ring Road of Shijiazhuang City,Hebei Province as an example,it is found that the convenience of public service facilities in the walking circle of housing estates within the Second Ring Road presented a circular layer distribution of“low outside and high inside”.This study will provide the reference for urban renewal and renovation and improvement of facilities.

Knowledge and Attitudes of Knust Pre-Clinical Dental Students towards Orthodontic Treatment

Background: Orthodontics is a dental specialty focusing on correcting dental irregularities and malocclusion. Knowledge and attitudes towards orthodontic treatment are crucial for promoting oral health and overall well-being. Education and awareness play a vital role in ensuring optimal treatment outcomes and improving quality of life. Aim: This study aims to determine the knowledge and attitudes of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) pre-clinical dentistry students concerning orthodontic therapy. Methodology: This research is a quantitative descriptive cross-sectional study. The research used a non-random convenience sampling method to form the desired sample. For data collection, an interview-administered questionnaire was used over one month. The study set its sights on pre-clinical dental students in KNUST. A total of 150 questionnaires were printed to meet the sample size. Results: The results of the research showed that the knowledge level of KNUST pre-clinical students on orthodontic treatment and its nuances is quite limited. They however had a fair level of knowledge on the disease or ailment that orthodontic treatments solved (especially malocclusion). Their interest in orthodontic treatments on the other hand was quite significant, with a large number having interest in it. Conclusion: To conclude, KNUST pre-clinical students in Ghana although having a limited level of knowledge on orthodontic treatments have a keen interest in undergoing them regardless of the discomforts or the length of time.

Knowledge and the Attitude on the Use of Mouthwash among Two Selected Senior High Schools in Kumasi

BACKGROUND: The route of most systemic diseases begins in the oral cavity. Oral health knowledge of mouthwashes and their uses is indispensable for the general population and especially adolescents. The use of mouthwash by adolescents can be a beneficial adjunct to their oral hygiene routine, providing additional protection against dental diseases and promoting fresher breath. Overuse or misuse of mouthwash, particularly those containing alcohol or other potentially irritating ingredients, may lead to adverse effects such as oral mucosal irritation, dry mouth, or alteration of the oral microbiome. OBJECTIVES: To determine the knowledge, attitude, and use of mouthwash among senior high school students in Kumasi. METHODOLOGY: 120 students responded to a standard questionnaire by a convenient sample technique. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 22.0 and MS Excel were used for data management and analysis. The results of the study were presented using tables, bar charts, and pie chart. RESULTS: The ages of the respondents ranged from 14 to 20 years. Out of the 120 participants, 71 students that represent 59.2% of the total, used mouthwash. Majority of the participants (63%) utilized a mouthwash after brushing their teeth. 49% of the participants reported using mouthwash to address halitosis, 37% used it to combat periodontal disease, and 10% used it for relief from a sore throat. CONCLUSION: In general, most of the participants who use mouthwash had excellent knowledge and a positive attitude toward the use of mouthwash.

Optimizing Distribution Route of Convenience Vegetable Stores Considering Transit Nodes

Convenience vegetable stores are distributed in various districts of the city,which is difficult to distribute,mainly reflected in the high cost of distribution and transportation.In order to solve this problem,combining with the characteristics of convenience vegetable stores and urban transportation,an optimization model of distribution route considering transit nodes is established.The model takes into account both soft time window and hard time window.Soft time window is used to calculate the cost increase caused by an urban traffic jam.Hard time window is the unified service time of convenience vegetable stores,and the cost of transit damage is considered to make the model more realistic.The genetic algorithm is used to solve the model with a onestage solution method.The effectiveness and feasibility of the model and algorithm are verified by an example.The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified by comparing the optimal solutions in the case of setting up transit and not setting up transit.The result shows that when the number of convenience vegetable stores is large,the establishment of transit can reduce the overall transportation cost.Quantitative analysis shows that with the further increase in convenience vegetable stores in cities,the distribution of convenience vegetable stores can be improved by planning scientific path and by increasing transit nodes.

This paper analyzes the key issues of resource integration,and proposes a method for solving the problem of achieving efficient resource integration for convenience service platforms that adopt dynamic service modes.This method considers both the service level of collaborative resources under dynamic service modes,and collaborative resources’satisfaction of service modes in the resource integration.In addition,dominant factors needing the most attention during resource integration under dynamic service modes are excavated.Moreover,a model for resource integration optimization is established,and ant colony algorithm is used to solve the problem.Finally,a case is used to verify the feasibility of the method.

An assessment Protocal of Ammonia Removal Efficacy for Air Purification Products

A device is designed to assess the ammonia removal effect of passive air purification products which derived the QB/T 2761-2006 Methods for determination of purificatory effect of indoor environment decontamination product.The device is composed of three parts:ammonia generator,ammonia removal device and ammonia collection device,which is made up of common laboratory equipment.The reagents used are common acid and alkali reagents in the laboratory.During the experiment,5.0mL of 25%concentrated ammonia water is added to the ammonia generator as the ammonia source,and filter paper is used as the sample carrier.Take 3.0g sample and add it to the filter paper,after the ammonia is absorbed by the filter paper with the sample,the residual ammonia is collected and measured by acid-base titration.The ammonia removal efficacy of the sample is calculated by the ammonia absorption amount of the blank sample and the sample to be tested.This method has the characteristics of simple equipment,small area,toxic or harmful substance free,and fabulous accuracy.Four different samples were tested,and the results matched the standard method.

晚期非鳞状非小细胞肺癌患者直接非医疗经济负担及影响因素分析

目的系统分析无表皮生长因子/间变性淋巴瘤激酶(epidermal grouth factor receptor/anaplastic lymphoma kinase,EGFR/ALK)突变的晚期非鳞状非小细胞肺癌(non-small cell lung cancer,NSCLC)患者在疾病治疗过程中发生的直接非医疗费用,分析疾病所致直接非医疗经济负担及其影响因素,以期为制定降低非鳞癌患者疾病相关经济负担的有效措施提供决策建议与参考依据。方法采用方便抽样与整群抽样结合的方法,于2020年11月—2021年6月对上海市、江苏省、福建省、山东省和四川省12家医院的晚期非鳞状NSCLC患者进行一对一问卷调查,收集社会人口学信息和疾病信息,计算患病以来的直接非医疗费用,并利用广义线性回归模型分析其影响因素。结果本研究共纳入目标患者361名,患者自确诊以来的例均直接非医疗费用为13277.33元,其中,营养费用占比最高(30.3%),营养费用、就诊过程相关食宿费用的累积占比为84.6%。将直接非医疗费用及其5类组成部分分别作为因变量,与各变量纳入广义线性回归模型,结果显示:住院次数、平均住院天数对患者的总直接非医疗费用、住宿费用及伙食费用的影响具有统计学意义(P<0.05);病程对患者的总直接非医疗费用及营养费用的影响具有统计学意义(P<0.05);职业类型显著影响患者的总直接医疗费用、伙食及营养费用;独居情况显著影响患者的护工费用;住院次数和户籍显著影响患者的交通费用。结论晚期非鳞状NSCLC患者的直接非医疗负担不可忽视,建议:继续提升国家整体的肿瘤诊疗水平,持续强化县级龙头医院肿瘤综合防治能力,缩小城乡及省际诊疗水平差距;积极推进NSCLC的早诊早治与早期干预,提高患者生存率;通过健全多层次保障体系,提供多方经济补助;推动营养干预早期介入、提倡多样化护理形式等,借助多途径缓解晚期非鳞状NSCLC患者的直接非医疗负担。
