Objective:To assess outcome indicators in clinical trials and provide a reference for establishing a core outcome set to treat hyperplasia of mammary gland(HMG)with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).Methods:Eight onli...Objective:To assess outcome indicators in clinical trials and provide a reference for establishing a core outcome set to treat hyperplasia of mammary gland(HMG)with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).Methods:Eight online databases were searched from their inception to December 31,2022,to assess outcomes reported in randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of HMG treated with TCM.The quality of the included studies was assessed according to the Cochrane Risk of Bias Assessment Tool.All outcomes were extracted,classified,and described.Results:A total of 8249 articles were initially retrieved.Of these,70 articles were eligible and involved 10618 participants with HMG.A total of 17 outcome indicators with a frequency of 271 times were involved and were collected according to six outcome domains.Conclusions:The core outcomes of RCTs of HMG treated with TCM are large and divergent.There are problems in evaluation standards,primary and secondary outcomes,TCM characteristic indicators,long-term prognosis,and standardization of reporting.It is recommended to strengthen the trial design and actively construct the core outcome sets with TCM characteristics for HMG.展开更多

In this research, it has been shown that length of the borehole segments created by each joint set could be computed by trigonometrical relations. By realizing the lengths associated with joint sets, an algorithm has been designed to compute the length of borehole pieces (created by all joint sets) and to calculate RQD. Effect of some factors have been analyzed and applied to the abstract model of the rock mass to have the most similarity to a real rock mass. The program proposed in this study, is a robust platform to calculate the RQD in all directions inside a rock mass without having to deal with the labor of core logging and wrestling with difficulties and inaccuracies of the traditional processes. This is the first algorithmic method for estimating the rock quality which could be employed to develop a new and far more reliable measurement for the degree of jointing inside a rock mass.展开更多
Obstructive pulmonary diseases(OPDs)are the leading causes of mortality and disability worldwide.The International Classification of Functioning,Disability and Health(ICF)provides a framework for systemat-ically asses...Obstructive pulmonary diseases(OPDs)are the leading causes of mortality and disability worldwide.The International Classification of Functioning,Disability and Health(ICF)provides a framework for systemat-ically assessing functioning and disability in patients with chronic diseases.To date,the ICF core sets for OPDs have not been validated by respiratory physicians in China’s mainland.This study was aimed at validating the brief ICF core set for OPDs from the perspective of Chinese respiratory physicians.A three-round,consensus-building survey was conducted with Chinese respiratory physicians from Shanghai,Jiangsu,and Zhejiang from December 2 to December 16,2017,using the Delphi technique.Their answers were analyzed for consensus degree.In this study,52 experts(about 67.3%men)with a mean working experience of(19.3±6.3)years completed the consensus process.After 3 rounds,the following 13 ICF categories were considered crucial for the assessment of OPDs,with an agreement of over 70%:4 in body functions(b410-heart functions,b440-respiratory functions,b455-exercise tolerance functions,and b460-sensations associated with cardiovascular and respiratory functions),2 in body structures(s410-structure of cardiovascular system,and s430-structure of respiratory system),4 in activities and participation(d230-carrying out daily routine,d450-walking,d455-moving around,and d640-doing housework),and 3 in environmental factors(e110-products or substances for personal consumption,e225-climate,and e260-air quality).Twelve(70.6%)categories in the current brief ICF core set were validated,and one additional category,b410-heart functions,was added.In conclusion,Chinese respiratory physicians largely supported the current brief ICF core set for OPDs.However,the newly added and unconfirmed categories need further investigation.展开更多
