The performance attenuation of asphalt mixture was analyzed under the normal environment and the freeze-thaw environment, and the analysis was given on the sensitivity of the test results to the evaluation index. The experimental results show that the performance of asphalt mixture is attenuated faster under the acidic solution, alkaline solution and sulfate solution. Corrosion factor Kc, freeze-thaw corrosion factor Kf, and freeze-thaw effect factor Kfc are proposed to evaluate asphalt mixture resistance to corrosion in different kinds of corrosion solution. The values of Kc and Kfc decrease with the increasing of corrosion time. The change rule of Kf show that the rate of corrosion is decreased by the action of freeze-thaw in acidic solution and in alkaline solution, but is increased by the action of freeze-thaw in sulfate solution. The microscopic analysis indicates that acid solution reacts with aggregate of asphalt mixture, alkaline solution reacts with asphalt cement of asphalt mixture, the surface tension of sulfate solution and crystallization of sulfate are the main reasons which weak the performance of asphalt mixture.展开更多

According to the temperature of seawater and the biologically adhesive area on steels, the corrosiveness of seawater from low to high level is classified into five levels (C l-C5), which was identified by the data of corrosion depth of carbon steel immersed in water for one year.展开更多

The results showed that there are no definite relationships among σc, Sc and IRA or σf(SCC)/σf.The threshold stress for hydrogen induced cracking (HlC) during charging with loading in the H2S04 solution, σc(H), decreased linearly with logarithm of the concentration of diffusible hydrogen c0, i.e., σc(H)=A-B Inco for four pipeline steels. σc(H) obtained with a special cathodic current ic, which was corresponding to the diffusible hydrogen concentration during immersing in the H2S solution, were consistent with /c for sulfide SCC for four pipeline steels. Therefore, σc for sulfide SCC can be measured using dynamically charging in the H2SO4 solution with the special cathodic current ic.展开更多

The results show that externally-bonded CFRP can be considered as a part of corrosion prevention system of strengthened concrete structures subjected to chloride ingress, and the contribution of CFRP should be considered in evaluation of durability of reinforced concrete structures with externally-bonded CFRP. With the effective shielding function of CFRP considered, an equation for residual lifetime prediction of concrete structures with externally-bonded CFRP is derived from Fick's dispersion law. CFRP has two functions for coastal concrete structures, including strengthening and increasing durability as part of corrosion prevention system.展开更多
