The modeling and self-excited vibration mechanism in the magnetic levitation-collision interface coupling system are investigated.The effects of the control and interface parameters on the system's stability are analyzed.The frequency range of self-excited vibrations is investigated from the energy point of view.The phenomenon of self-excited vibrations is elaborated with the phase trajectory.The corresponding control strategies are briefly analyzed with respect to the vibration mechanism.The results show that when the levitation objects collide with the mechanical interface,the system's vibration frequency becomes larger with the decrease in the collision gap;when the vibration frequency exceeds the critical frequency,the electromagnetic system continues to provide energy to the system,and the collision interface continuously dissipates energy so that the system enters the self-excited vibration state. 展开更多

In this paper, the isogeometric analysis (IGA) is employed to develop an acoustic radiation model for a double plate-acoustic cavity coupling system, with a focus on analyzing the sound transmission loss (STL). The functionally graded (FG) plate exhibits a different material properties in-plane, and the power-law rule is adopted as the governing principle for material mixing. To validate the harmonic response and demonstrate the accuracy and convergence of the isogeometric modeling, ANASYS is utilized to compare with numerical examples. A plane wave serves as the acoustic excitation, and the Rayleigh integral is applied to discretize the radiated plate. The STL results are compared with the literature, confirming the reliability of the coupling system. Finally, the investigation is conducted to study impact of cavity depth and power-law parameter on the STL. 展开更多

To address the energy crisis and alleviate the rising level of CO_(2)in the atmosphere,various CO_(2)capture and utilization(CCU)technologies have been developed.The use of electro-enzyme coupling systems is a promising strategy for the sustainable production of fuels,chemicals and materials using CO_(2)as the feedstock.In this review,the recent progresses in the development of electro-enzyme coupling systems for the selective reduction of CO_(2)are systematically summarized.We first provide a brief background about the significance and challenges in the direct conversion of CO_(2)into value-added chemicals.Next,we describe the materials and strategies in the design of electrodes,as well as the common enzymes used in the electro-enzyme coupling systems.Then,we focus on the state-of-the-art routes for the electro-enzyme coupling conversion of CO_(2)into a variety of compounds(formate,CO,methanol,C≥2chemicals)by a single enzyme or multienzyme systems.The emerging approaches and materials used for the construction of electro-enzyme coupling systems to enhance the electron transfer efficiency and the catalytic activity/stability are highlighted.The main challenges and perspectives in the integration of enzymatic and electrochemical strategies are also discussed. 展开更多

The harmonics and resonance of traction power supply systems(TPSSs)aggravate the electromagnetic interference(EMI)to adjacent metallic pipelines(MPs),which has aroused widespread concern.In this paper,an evaluation method on pipeline interference voltage under harmonic induction is presented.The results show that the Carson integral formula is more accurate in calculating the mutual impedance at higher frequencies.Then,an integrated train-network-pipeline model is established to estimate the influences of harmonic distortion and resonance on an MP.It is revealed that the higher the harmonic cur-rent distortion rate of the traction load,the larger the interference voltage on an MP.Particularly,the interference voltage is amplified up to 7 times when the TPSS resonates,which is worthy of attention.In addition,the parameters that affect the variation and sensitivity of the interference voltage are studied,namely,the pipeline coating material,locomotive position,and soil resistivity,indicating that soil resistivity and 3PE(3-layer polyethylene)anticorrosive coating are more sensitive to harmonic induction.Field test results show that the harmonic distortion can make the interference voltage more serious,and the protective measures are optimized. 展开更多

Dynamic optimization of electromechanical coupling system is a significant engineering problem in the field of mechatronics. The performance improvement of electromechanical equipment depends on the system design parameters. Aiming at the spindle unit of refitted machine tool for solid rocket, the vibration acceleration of tool is taken as objective function, and the electromechanical system design parameters are appointed as design variables. Dynamic optimization model is set up by adopting Lagrange-Maxwell equations, Park transform and electromechanical system energy equations. In the procedure of seeking high efficient optimization method, exponential function is adopted to be the weight function of particle swarm optimization algorithm. Exponential inertia weight particle swarm algorithm(EPSA), is formed and applied to solve the dynamic optimization problem of electromechanical system. The probability density function of EPSA is presented and used to perform convergence analysis. After calculation, the optimized design parameters of the spindle unit are obtained in limited time period. The vibration acceleration of the tool has been decreased greatly by the optimized design parameters. The research job in the paper reveals that the problem of dynamic optimization of electromechanical system can be solved by the method of combining system dynamic analysis with reformed swarm particle optimizati on. Such kind of method can be applied in the design of robots, NC machine, and other electromechanical equipments. 展开更多

The protection of the entanglement between two V-atoms(EBTVA)in a multi-cavity coupling system is studied.The whole system consists of two V-atoms.The two V-atoms are initially in the maximum entangled state and interacts locally with its own dissipative cavity which is coupled to the external cavities with high quality factor(ECWHQF).The results show that,when there is no ECWHQF,the EBTVA can be protected effectively in the case where the V-atom and the dissipative cavity are weak coupled in large detuning,while when there are different numbers n of ECWHQF coupled to two dissipative cavities,by adjusting the parameters of the number n of ECWHQF and the coupling strength k between cavities,the EBTVA can be protected perfectly and continuously.Our result provides an effective method for protecting entanglement resources of three-level system. 展开更多

The stability and the Hopf bifurcation of a nonlinear electromechanical coupling system with time delay feedback are studied. By considering the energy in the air-gap field of the AC motor, the dynamical equation of the electromechanical coupling transmission system is deduced and a time delay feedback is introduced to control the dynamic behaviors of the system. The characteristic roots and the stable regions of time delay are determined by the direct method, and the relationship between the feedback gain and the length summation of stable regions is analyzed. Choosing the time delay as a bifurcation parameter, we find that the Hopf bifurcation occurs when the time delay passes through a critical value.A formula for determining the direction of the Hopf bifurcation and the stability of the bifurcating periodic solutions is given by using the normal form method and the center manifold theorem. Numerical simulations are also performed, which confirm the analytical results. 展开更多

Wireless power transfer(WPT) to support mobile and portable devices is an emerging wireless technique.Among all kinds of approaches,magnetic resonance coupling(MRC) is an excellent one for mid-range WPT,which provides better mobility,flexibility,and convenience due to its simplicity in hardware implementation and longer transmission distances.In this paper,we consider an MRCWPT system with multiple power transmitters,one intended power receiver and multiple unintended power receivers.We investigate the probabilistic robust beamforming designs and provide efficient algorithms to achieve the local optimums under two different criteria,i.e.,total source power minimization problem and min-max unintended receiving power restriction problem.As the problems are quite typical in robust design situations,our proposed robust beamformers can be conveniently applied to other probabilistic robust design problems,thus reduce the complexity as well as improve the beamforming performance.Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed algorithms can significantly improve the performance as well as the robustness of the WPT system. 展开更多

Through the modeling and simulation of this system, the performance of energy flow can be analyzed and optimized in the process industry. In order to study this system, the component based hybrid Petri net methodology (CpnHPN) is proposed, synthesizing a number of extended Petri net methods and using the concept of energy place, material place, and information place. Through the interface place in CpnHPN, the component based encapsulation is established, which enables the production and energy coupling system to be built, analyzed, and optimized on the multi-level framework. Considering the block and brief simulation for hybrid system, the CpnHPN model is simulated with Simulink/Stateflow. To illustrate the use of the proposed methodology, the application of CpnHPN in the energy optimization of chlorine balance system is provided. 展开更多

We introduce a generalized Rashba coupling approximation to analytically solve confined two-dimensional electron systems with both the Rashba and Dresselhaus spin–orbit couplings in an external magnetic field.A solvable Hamiltonian is obtained by performing a simple change of basis,which has the same form as that with only Rashba coupling.Each Landau state becomes a new displaced-Fock state instead of the original Harmonic oscillator Fock state.Analytical energies are consistent with the numerical ones in a wide range of coupling strength even for a strong Zeeman splitting,exhibiting the validity of the analytical approximation.By using the eigenstates,spin polarization correctly displays a jump at the energy-level crossing point,where the corresponding spin conductance exhibits a pronounced resonant peak.As the component of the Dresselhaus coupling increases,the resonant point shifts to a smaller value of the magnetic field.In contrast to pure Rashba couplings,we find that the Dresselhaus coupling and Zeeman splittings tend to suppress the resonant spin Hall effect.Our method provides an easy-to-implement analytical treatment to two-dimensional electron gas systems with both types of spin–orbit couplings by applying a magnetic field. 展开更多

Consequently the virtual experimental platform for the multi-disciplinary co-simulation was established. A co-simulation study of the mechanical-hydraulic-control coupling system of the ITER tractor was carried out. The synchronization servo control of parallel hydraulic cylinders was implemented, and the tracking control of the preconcerted trajectory of the hydraulic cylinders was realized on the established experimental platform. This paper presents the optimization design and technology rebuilding for the complicated coupling system with its theoretic foundation and co-simulation virtual experimental platform. 展开更多

The aim of the present work is to extend the nonlinear formulations to an elastic beam with free large overall motion. Based on initial stress method, the nonlinear coupling equations of elastic beams are obtained with free large overall motion and the attached stiffness matrix is derived by solving sub-static formulation. The angular velocity and the tip deformation of the elastic pendulum are calculated. The analytical results show that the simulation results of the present model are tabled and coincide with the one-order approximate model. It is shown that the simulation results accord with energy conservation principle. 展开更多

The rigid flexible coupling system with a mass at non-tip position of the flexible beam is studied in this paper. Using the theory about mechanics problems in a non-inertial coordinate sys- tem, the dynamic equations of the rigid flexible coupling system with dynamic stiffening are estab- lished. It is clearly elucidated for the first time that, dynamic stiffening is produced by the coupling effect of the centrifugal inertial load distributed on the beam and the transverse vibration deformation of the beam. The modeling approach in this paper successfully solves problems of popular modeling methods nowadays: the derivation process is too complex by using only one dynamic principle; a clearly theoretical mechanism for dynamic stiffening can' t be offered. First, the mass at non-tip po- sition is incorporated into the continuous dynamic equations of the system by use of the Dirac lunch tion and the Heaviside function. Then, based on the conclusions of orthogonalization about the nor- mal constrained modes, the finite dimensional state space equations suitable for controller design are obtained. The numerical simulation results show that: dynamic stiffening is included in the first-or- der model established in this paper, which indicates the dynamic responses of the rigid flexible cou- pling system with large overall motion accurately. The results also show that the mass has a soften- ing effect on the dynamic behavior of the flexible beam, and the effect would be more obvious when the mass has a larger mass, or lies closer to the tip of the beam. 展开更多

A novel method to enhance the robustness of the microcavity coupling system(MCS)is presented by encapsulating and solidifying the MCS with a low refractive index(RI)curable UV polymer.The encapsulating process is illustrated in detail for a typical microsphere with a radius of R about 240μm.Three differences of the resonant characteristics before and after the package are observed and analyzed.The first two differences refer to the enhancement of the coupling strength and the shift of the resonant spectrum to the longer wavelength,which are both mainly because of the microsphere surrounding RI variation.Another difference is the quality factor(Q-factor)which decreases from 7.8×10^(7)to 8.7×10^(6)after the package due to the polymer absorption.Moreover,rotation testing experiments have been carried out to verify the robustness of the package MCS.Experimental results demonstrate that the packaged MCR has much better robust performance than the un-package sample.The enhancement of the robustness greatly promotes the microcavity research from fundamental investigations to application fields. 展开更多

This paper develops geometric nonlinear hybrid formulation for flexible multibody system with large deformation considering thermal effect. Different from the conventional formulation, the heat flux is the function of the rotational angle and the elastic deformation, therefore, the coupling among the temperature, the large overall motion and the elastic deformation should be taken into account. Firstly, based on nonlinear strain-displacement relationship, varia- tional dynamic equations and heat conduction equations for a flexible beam are derived by using virtual work approach, and then, Lagrange dynamics equations and heat conduction equations of the first kind of the flexible multibody system are obtained by leading into the vectors of Lagrange multiplier associated with kinematic and temperature constraint equations. This formulation is used to simulate the thermal included hub-beam system. Comparison of the response be- tween the coupled system and the uncoupled system has re- vealed the thermal chattering phenomenon. Then, the key parameters for stability, including the moment of inertia of the central body, the incident angle, the damping ratio and the response time ratio, are analyzed. This formulation is also used to simulate a three-link system applied with heat flux. Comparison of the results obtained by the proposed formulation with those obtained by the approximate nonlinear model and the linear model shows the significance of con- sidering all the nonlinear terms in the strain in case of large deformation. At last, applicability of the approximate non- linear model and the linear model are clarified in detail. 展开更多
