An excellent Mo-Cu/Cr18-Ni8 joint with a shear strength of 155 MPa was achieved at 980 ℃ for 20 min. Brazed joint was mainly comprised of eutectic structure in the center of brazing seam,matrix structure and lump structure. Ni-Cu( Mo) and Ni-Fe solid solution were at the interface beside Mo-Cu composite and Cr18-Ni8 stainless steel,respectively. Shear fracture exhibited mixed ductile-brittle fracture feature with trans-granular fracture,ductile dimples and tearing edges. Fracture originated from the interface between brazing seam and Mo-Cu composite.展开更多

Within the testing amplitude range of ...Studies were made of the symmetric tensile-compressive low cycle fatigue behaviour and the influence of dynamic strain aging(DSA)pre-treatment of 18-8 austenitic stainless steel. Within the testing amplitude range of strain.±0.5 % to±1.5 %,the three processes of cyclic hardening,cyclic saturation and cyclic softening were observed.In the same amplitude of strain,the peak stress of the samples pre-treated by DSA is higher than that of solid-solu- tion and cold working pre-treatment,but no remarkable differences of the fatigue lives of them were found.TEM observation shows that the uniform and stable dislocation networks with high density form after DSA pre-treatment,which increases the cyclic peak stress.The cyclic softening results from the low dislocation density and elongated cell structure with low energy.展开更多

Based on engineering bionics, sa...Laser multiple processing, i.e. laser surface texturing and then Laser Shock Processing (LSP), is a new surface processing technology for the preparation of bionic non-smooth surfaces. Based on engineering bionics, samples of bionic non-smooth surfaces of stainless steel 0Crl 8Ni9 were manufactured in the form of reseau structure by laser multiple processing. The mechanical properties (including microhardness, residual stress, surface roughness) and microstructure of the samples treated by laser multiple processing were compared with those of the samples without LSP The results show that the mechanical properties of these samples by laser multiple processing were clearly improved in comparison with those of the samples without LSP The mechanisms underlying the improved surface microhardness and surface residual stress were analyzed, and the relations between hardness, comnressive residual stress and roughness were also presented.展开更多
