GATE系统关键组件的应用开发接口研究和应用

近年来,谢菲尔德大学研究开发的GATE(General Architecture for Text Engineering,文本工程通用框架)不断发布新版本的同时,在科研、教育、商业等领域获得广泛应用.文章从GATE基本架构入手,分析GATE关键组件,结合开发实例研究GATE主要接口应用开发方法,并探讨了Gazetteer和JAPE等资源的扩展方法,为基于GATE更深层次的应用提供基础.在研究其应用开发接口基础上,文章进一步展示了基于GATE扩展的知识抽取系统的应用实例.该文为2008年第9期本期话题'知识抽取'的文章之一.

Productive evaluation of slow-growing Mexican turkeys with different diets in confinement

Were assessed the effect of five traditional diets backyard turkeys in confinement. The experiment lasted 36 weeks, the turkeys were randomized to one of five diets: kitchen waste + fresh forage (T1), kitchen waste (T2), commercial feed + fresh forage (T3), cracked corn + fresh forage (T4) and commercial feed (T5). Food and water were provided ad libitum. Each treatment with birds of both sexes had two repetitions with four birds and each bird was considered as an experimental unit. Were evaluated daily weight gain, total weight gain, final live weight, total length peak-tail, monthly gain peak-tail, total length, total length of wings, monthly gain wings length, and feed cost. The data were analyzed in a completely randomized arrangement with adjusted means and Tukey’s mean comparison, then an evaluation of treatment groups by analyzing clusters for semi quantitative data. The biggest daily gain, total weight gain and final live weight was obtained with treatment T3, while the highest increase in peak-length tail and wings was obtained with treatment T1 (P < 0.05). T2 treatment turned out to be most economical, but the treatment that best scores obtained was T1. We conclude that the use of kitchen waste + fresh forage is a feasible strategy to feed slow-growing turkeys.

<i>Phaseolus</i>Genetic Resources Grown in Campeche, Mexico

The protein intake of the population in the Yucatan Peninsula is based upon the different forms of beans naturally developed. The different ecotypes of creole beans that are grown traditionally have been displaced by improved varieties, thereby turning into a risk of losing a valuable source of germ-plasma. The present study is aimed to identify, collect and preserve several bean species genetic resources grown in Campeche, Mexico, in addition to the development of an identification card with the main phenotypic characteristics and yield components. A total of 33 different samples were collected from nine different municipalities statewide;out of those, 15 were Phaseolus vulgaris and 18 Phaseolus lunatus. The collected samples diversity is reflected in the range of growth habits from the bush to the indeterminate climbing species, being these the most representative with about 29 samples, many of those because of the way the planting is carried out, which is traditionally performed in association with the cultivation of corn. Early samples were identified in this diversity with their cycle ranging from 60 to 120 days after emergence. Samples of Phaseolus lunatus with 1.35 to 2.86 t/ha yield potential were also obtained.

Molecular studies on the Creole cattle breed in Mauritius

There are three main cattle breeds in Mauritius;the Friesian cows, the Creole cows and the Cross (Creole and Friesians) breeds. The main objective of the study was to differentiate the Creole breeds from the other two breeds thus valorizing and conserving the Creole cow which is in danger of extinction. Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA and random microsatellite analysis were the two PCR based techniques used. The populations studied consisted of 5 Friesians, 5 Creole breeds and 5 Cross breeds. The breeds were obtained from the Curepipe Livestock Research Station which is the only place where there is a record of Creole cows in Mauritius. Among the 5 Creoles breeds chosen, 2 of them could have been impure breeds due to their morphological characteristics. DNA extraction was carried out from blood taken from the cows selected, and yielded DNA of good quality and quantity. Polymorphic bands were obtained from the Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA primers and random microsatellite primers and the data obtained were used for constructing a dendogram. From the dendogram obtained, the breeds were separated and the two Creole samples, which were suspected to be impure, formed different clusters from the true Creole breeds. From the results obtained, the Creole breed was easily distinguishable from the other breeds studied using molecular techniques.

The Contrast between‘already’‘liao’in Singlish and‘了’in Chinese

Singapore is a developed country in Southeast Asia.Its language environment is also very complex.As one of the most representative Creole languages,Singlish has also attracted much attention from linguists.This paper will analyze the relationship between‘liao’‘already’in Singlish and‘了’in Chinese by means of comparison,and explore the influence of history and culture on language structure.

洋泾浜语及克里奥语研究的历史和现状

洋泾浜语(pidgin)和克里奥语(creole)有时又合称混合语(mixed languages),边缘语(marginal languages)或者重组语(restructured language)。Pidgin这个名字来自Pidgin Eng—lish,也就是我们通常所说的洋泾浜英语。洋泾浜英语形成于十八世纪的广州,是来中国的英国商人同中国人进行贸易时使用的工作语言,词汇以源自英语的为主,杂有来自广东话。
