In this paper, the authors discuss the vortex structure of an anisotropic Ginzburg-Landau model for superconducting thin film proposed by Du. We obtain the estimate for the lower critical magnetic field Hc1 which is the first critical value of hex corresponding to the first phase transition in which vortices appear in the superconductor. We also find local minimizers of the anisotropic superconducting thin film with a large parameter k, and for the applied magnetic field near the critical field we discuss the asymptotic behavior of the local minimizers. 展开更多

Excellent fits were obtained by Talantsev (MPLB 33, 1950195, 2019) to the temperature (T)-dependent upper critical field (Hc2(T)) data of H3S reported by Mozaffari et al. [Nature Communications 10, 2522 (2019)] by employing four alternative phenomenological models, each of which invoked two or more properties from its sample-specific set S1 = {Tc, gap, coherence length, penetration depth, jump in sp.ht.} and a single value of the effective mass (m*) of an electron. Based on the premise that the variation of Hc2(T) is due to the variation of the chemical potential μ(T), we report here fits to the same data by employing a T-, μ- and m*-dependent equation for Hc2(T) and three models of μ(T), viz. the linear, the parabolic and the concave-upward model. For temperatures up to which the data are available, each of these provides a good fit. However, for lower values of T, their predictions differ. Notably, the predicted values of Hc2(0) are much higher than in any of the models dealt with by Talantsev. In sum, we show here that the addressed data are explicable in a framework comprising the set S2 = {μ, m*, interaction parameter λm, Landau index NL}, which is altogether different from S1. 展开更多

The temperature dependence of the anisotropy parameter of upper critical field γHe2 (T) = Hc2^‖ (T) /Hc2^⊥ (T) and London penetration depth γλ (T) = λ‖(T)/λ⊥ (T) are calculated using two-band Ginzburg-Landau theory for layered superconductors. It is shown that, with decreasing temperature the anisotropy parameter γHc2 (T) is increased, while the London penetration depth anisotropy γλ(T) reveals an opposite behavior. Results of our calculations are in agreement with experimental data for single crystal MgB2 and with other calculations..Results of an analysis of magnetic field Hc1 in a single vortex between superconducting layers are also presented. 展开更多

The magneto-plastic instability of a ferromagnetic beam-type plate with simple supports and small initial imperfection is analytically investigated in this paper for that the plastic deformation of the plate with a linear-strain hardening relation is considered when the plate is located in a strong uniformly distributed magnetic ?eld. After the distribution of magnetic ?elds related to the de?ected con?guration of plate is imaginably divided into two parts, i.e., one is related to the ?at plate and the other dependent on the perturbation of magnetic ?elds for which the plate con?guration changes from the ?at into the deformed state, the perturbation technique is employed to analyze the distribution of the perturbation magnetic ?elds in and out-of the magnetic medium of the ferromagnetic structure in a transverse magnetic ?eld, which leads to some analytical formulae/solutions for the magnetic ?elds and the resulting magnetic force exerted on the plate. Based on them, the magneto-plastic buckling and snapping of the plate in a transverse magnetic ?eld is discussed, and the critical magnetic ?eld is analytically formulated in terms of the parameters of geometry and material of the plate employed by solving the governing equation of the magneto-plastic plate in the applied magnetic ?eld. Further, the sensitivity of the initial imperfection on the magneto-plastic instability, expressed by an ampli?cation function, is obtained by solving the dynamic equation of de?ection of the plate after the inertial force in the transverse direction is taken into account. The results obtained show that the critical magnetic ?eld is sensitive to the plastic characteristic, e.g., hardening coe?cient, and the instability mode and de?ection of the plate are dependent on the geometrical imperfection as well. 展开更多

As an essential model of magnetoelastic interaction between magnetic field and mechanical deformation, the study on magnetoelastic buckling phenomenon of soft ferromagnetic plates in a magnetic environment has been conducted. One of the key steps for the theoretical prediction of the critical magnetic field is how to formulate magnetic force exerted on the magnetized medium. Till today, the theoretical predictions, from theoretical models in publications, of the magnetoelastic buckling of ferromagnetic cantilevered beam-plate in transverse magnetic field are all higher than their experimental data. Sometimes, the discrepancy between them is as high as 100%. In this paper, the macroscope formulation of the magnetic forces is strictly obtained from the microscope Amperion current model. After that, a new theoretical model is established to describe the magnetoelastic buckling phenomenon of ferromagnetic thin plates with geometrically nonlinear deformation in a nonuniform transverse magnetic field. The numerical method for quantitative analysis is employed by combining the finite elemental method for magnetic fields and the finite difference method for deformation of plates. The numerical results obtained from this new theoretical model show that the theoretical predictions of critical values of the buckling magnetic field for the ferromagnetic cantilevered beam-plate are in excellent agreement with their experimental data. By the way, the region of applicability to the Moon-Pao's model, or the couple model, is checked by quantitative results. 展开更多

We used the Jordan-Wigner transform and the invariant eigenoperator method to study the magnetic phase diagram and the magnetization curve of the spin-1/2 alternating ferrimagnetic diamond chain in an external magnetic field at finite temperature. The magnetization versus external magnetic field curve exhibits a 1/3 magnetization plateau at absolute zero and finite temperatures, and the width of the 1/3 magnetization plateau was modulated by tuning the temperature and the exchange interactions.Three critical magnetic field intensities H_(CB),H_(CE)and H_(CS) were obtained,in which the H_(CB) and H_(CE)correspond to the appearance and disappearance of the 1/3 magnetization plateau, respectively, and the higher H_(CS) correspond to the appearance of fully polarized magnetization plateau of the system. The energies of elementary excitation hω_(σ,k)(σ=1,2,3)present the extrema of zero at the three critical magnetic fields at 0 K,i.e.,[hω_(3,k)(H_(CB)]_(min)=0,[hω_(2,k)(H_(CE)]_(max)=0 and[hω_(2,k)(H_(CS)]_(min)=0,and the magnetic phase diagram of magnetic field versus different exchange interactions at 0 K was established by the above relationships.According to the relationships between the system’s magnetization curve at finite temperatures and the critical magnetic field intensities, the magnetic field-temperature phase diagram was drawn. It was observed that if the magnetic phase diagram shows a three-phase critical point, which is intersected by the ferrimagnetic phase, the ferrimagnetic plateau phase, and the Luttinger liquid phase, the disappearance of the 1/3 magnetization plateau would inevitably occur. However, the 1/3 magnetization plateau would not disappear without the three-phase critical point. The appearance of the 1/3 magnetization plateau in the low temperature region is the macroscopic manifestations of quantum effect. 展开更多

Prticle-in-cell(PIC) simulations demonstrated that, when the relativistic magnetron with diffraction output(MDO) is applied with a 410 kV voltage pulse,or when the relativistic magnetron with radial output is applied with a 350 kV voltage pulse, electrons emitted from the cathode with high energy will strike the anode block wall. The emitted secondary electrons and backscattered electrons affect the interaction between electrons and RF fields induced by the operating modes, which decreases the output power in the radial output relativistic magnetron by about 15%(10%for the axial output relativistic magnetron),decreases the anode current by about 5%(5%for the axial output relativistic magnetron),and leads to a decrease of electronic efficiency by 8%(6%for the axial output relativistic magnetron). The peak value of the current formed by secondary and backscattered current equals nearly half of the amplitude of the anode current, which may help the growth of parasitic modes when the applied magnetic field is near the critical magnetic field separating neighboring modes. Thus, mode competition becomes more serious. 展开更多
