Recent Crustal Stress Field and Dislocation Along Seismic Faults in the East China Region

A statistic analysis of the characteristics of recent tectonic stress fields in the East China region was performed using 143 sets of data of single focal mechanical solutions of moderate and small earthquakes and 17 sets of data of composite focal mechanism solutions. The result shows that at present the East China region is controlled by an ENE-( about 80°) oriented principal compressive and NNW-(about 350°) oriented principal tensile stress field. The effect mode of the principal stress is mainly horizontal and sub-horizontal. In a background of basic consistency of the direction and effect mode of stress field, the existence of different seismotectonic zones may be related to the distribution of major active faults in the relevant areas. It indicates the effect and control of the existing structures on the seismic dislocation. Analysis of focal mechanism solution data of recent moderate and small earthquakes and directions of long axes of isoseismal contours of historic moderate and strong earthquakes and recent felt earthquakes indicates that seismic rupture and dislocation in East China region occurred mainly along the faults in NE and NW directions, and sometimes in NNE, ENE, WNW or near-WE directions. Movement along the seismic faults is mainly strike-slip or nearstrike-slip, with a less oblique slip component. Regional difference in dislocation modes exist along the seismic faults. The historical moderate and strong earthquakes in East China produced mainly NE-trending ruptures and dislocations, while the recent earthquakes produced NW-SE ruptures and dislocations in the land region and NE and NW ones in the sea areas. 展开更多

A new method of detecting stress change by temperature(DSCT),has been recently proposed on the basis of the experimental results in laboratory,and verified by field observation.In this paper,at first,physical background is concisely introduced,and experimental researches are followed.Then,the key techniques are reviewed,and the main results on in-situ observations are also given in detail.At last,we emphasize on the prospects of this method for being investigated further.The potential prospect includes six contents:(1)to observe the tidal force and its secondary fluid thermal effect;(2)to study temperature response to change in direction of the stress change;(3)to carry out practical engineering application;(4)to analyze the strong earthquake risk,based on bedrock temperature observation;(5)to conduct in situ experiment on DSCT;(6)to explain quantitatively the satellite thermal infrared anomaly.In short,considering that the dynamic change of the crustal stress is a key parameter of earthquake forecasting or engineering application,the method of DSCT has important practical significance for earthquake risk or engineering applications. 展开更多

The crustal stress and seismic hazard estimation along the southwest segment of the Longmenshan thrust belt after the Wenchuan Earthquake was conducted by hydraulic fracturing for in-situ stress measurements in four boreholes at the Ridi, Wasigou, Dahegou, and Baoxing sites in 2003, 2008, and 2010. The data reveals relatively high crustal stresses in the Kangding region (Ridi, Wasigou, and Dahegou sites) before and after the Wenchuan Earthquake, while the stresses were relatively low in the short time after the earthquake. The crustal stress in the southwest of the Longmenshan thrust belt, especially in the Kangding region, may not have been totally released during the earthquake, and has since increased. Furthermore, the Coulomb failure criterion and Byerlee's law are adopted to analyzed in-situ stress data and its implications for fault activity along the southwest segment. The magnitudes of in-situ stresses are still close to or exceed the expected lower bound for fault activity, revealing that the studied region is likely to be active in the future. From the conclusions drawn from our and other methods, the southwest segment of the Longmenshan thrust belt, especially the Baoxing region, may present a future seismic hazard. 展开更多

DSS data of the last twenty years and more in the northern part of North China are further interpreted, and combined with other geological and geophysical data, the crustal model for the 3 D finite element method is built after straticulate crustal structure and elastic mechanics parameters are obtained. Referring to regional tectonic stress field and taking the effect of gravity into account, the paper constrains properly the model boundary and then computes the displacement of each nodal point and the strain and stress of each element by using the program from the 3 D linear elastic finite method. The relationship between the distribution feature of the crustal stress field and seismicity is discussed on the basis of analyzing contour maps of maximum principal compressive stress in the upper, middle and lower crusts. 展开更多

为了进一步认识制约煤系气合采的因素,提高煤系合层排采各产层的产气贡献,分别从动力、通道和气源条件出发,分析了煤系气合采的必备因素。基于改变地应力状态提高储层导流能力以及分层改变储层流体压力,满足多层合采动力条件的原理,提... 为了进一步认识制约煤系气合采的因素,提高煤系合层排采各产层的产气贡献,分别从动力、通道和气源条件出发,分析了煤系气合采的必备因素。基于改变地应力状态提高储层导流能力以及分层改变储层流体压力,满足多层合采动力条件的原理,提出了地面井分层卸压的煤系气合采方式。该方式通过在地面进行定向钻井,在目标储层中进行高压水射流作业,人工创造卸压空间(缝、槽、穴等),改变地应力状态,降低有效应力伤害,增加储层导流通道的数量和开度,提高目标储层压降传递速率。待储层压力降至符合煤系气合采动力条件时进行合层排采,从而提高煤系合采各产气层的产气贡献。相较于常规增产改造措施,此方式能够减少煤系气储层在有效应力作用下的储层伤害,且有助于提高储层压降传递效率,增强煤系气的解吸和扩散,降低多层煤系气合采过程中的层间干扰。在以上研究基础上,认为地面井分层卸压的合采方式主要适用于储层地应力大、产层间距小的煤系气储层,且有望在薄互层煤系气储层增产改造及层间干扰严重的叠合共生煤系储层开发领域进行应用推广。 展开更多

地应力的分布特征及断层稳定性对复杂区域的水平井井位部署、钻井方位及水力压裂设计等方面至关重要。准噶尔盆地构造运动剧烈,地层特征较为复杂,需厘清地应力变化规律,判别断层稳定性,把控钻井风险,以提高钻井作业效率。该文以区域地... 地应力的分布特征及断层稳定性对复杂区域的水平井井位部署、钻井方位及水力压裂设计等方面至关重要。准噶尔盆地构造运动剧烈,地层特征较为复杂,需厘清地应力变化规律,判别断层稳定性,把控钻井风险,以提高钻井作业效率。该文以区域地质构造、地震等资料为基础,优选地应力计算模型,进行三维地质力学建模。通过模型计算,得出区域地应力大小和特征,判断区域特征为走滑断层控制过渡到正断层控制;基于模拟结果对三段重点层位进行研究,分析得到断层对地应力变化规律的影响。利用Coulomb破坏函数对研究区域内5条主干断层进行力学判别,分析得到F1和F3断层处于稳定状态,F2、F4和F5断层处于不稳定状态,这一判断结果有助于实现钻井风险的及时预警。该研究通过系统的地质力学建模和断层稳定性分析,为复杂区域相关工程研究提供了理论支持,可以有效地提高钻井作业效率。 展开更多

Upper crustal anisotropy observed around the Longmenshan fault in the 2013 M_S7.0 Lushan earthquake region 被引量:3

Based on the shear wave splitting analysis of the seismic recordings at 17 temporary stations and three permanent stations, we measured the shear wave splitting parameters(i.e., the polarization direction of fast shear wave and the time delay of slow wave) to perform a systematic analysis of the crustal seismic anisotropy around the Longmenshan fault in the 2013 M7.0 Lushan earthquake region. We observed apparent spatio-temporal characteristics in the shear wave splitting parameters. The spatial distribution of fast polarization directions showed a clear partitioning in the characteristics from northwest to southeast in the focal region,which changed from NW-SE to NE-SW. In the northwest of the focal region, the fast polarization direction was oriented to NW-SE, which was parallel to the maximum horizontal compressive stress direction. However, the NE-SW fast polarization direction in the southeast of the focal region was parallel to the Longmenshan fault strike. For station BAX on the Central fault in the middle of the focal region, the distribution of fast polarization directions showed a bimodal pattern, with one dominant in the NE-SW direction and the other in the NW-SE direction. With regard to the temporal variation, the time delays were large in the initial stage after the mainshock but then gradually decreased over time and tended to be stable in the later period. This indicated that stress in the focal region increased to a maximum when the main shock occurred, with the stress release caused by the mainshock and aftershock activity, and the stress gradually decreased after a period of time. The scatter of fast polarization directions was large after the main shock, but over time the scatter gradually decreased, indicating that the Lushan earthquake caused a large perturbation in the local stress field. As the stress gradually decreased and was adjusted by the aftershock activity, the perturbation gradually weakened. 展开更多

自唐山地区发生7.8级地震以来,古冶—滦县地区一直为唐山地震的余震频发区.该地区断裂和地质构造十分复杂,这些断裂的破碎程度有哪些差异?这是地震学家所关心的问题.本文使用在古冶—滦县地区布设的密集流动地震台网2020年8月—2021年7... 自唐山地区发生7.8级地震以来,古冶—滦县地区一直为唐山地震的余震频发区.该地区断裂和地质构造十分复杂,这些断裂的破碎程度有哪些差异?这是地震学家所关心的问题.本文使用在古冶—滦县地区布设的密集流动地震台网2020年8月—2021年7月近一年的波形记录,采用剪切波分裂原理通过对古冶—滦县地区上地壳各向异性研究来揭示这些问题.得到以下结论:(1)古冶—滦县地区快剪切波平均偏振方向为NE86.2°±27.8°,慢剪切波平均时间延迟为2.37±1.25 ms·km^(-1).快剪切波偏振第一优势方向为ENE向,与区域背景主压应力方向一致;第二优势方向为NE向,该方向揭示了研究区域断裂主要以NE向为发育的构造意义.(2)唐山断裂带附近台站快剪切波偏振方向均显示出NE向的第二优势方向,与断裂走向一致.断裂附近台站慢剪切波时间延迟较高,各台站时间延迟差异较小,表明区域各向异性程度较强,断裂沿NE向破碎程度较强且破碎均匀.(3)滦县—乐亭断裂和卢龙断裂附近台站快剪切波偏振方向显示出复杂性,表明两条活动断裂的交汇在地壳内部产生了复杂的地壳破裂裂隙结构.断裂附近台站慢剪切波时间延迟较高,各台站时间延迟差异较大,表明区域各向异性和断裂破碎程度较强,且破碎不均匀.(4)丰台—野鸡坨断裂和榛子镇断裂附近台站快剪切波偏振方向与区域主压应力方向接近,慢剪切波时间延迟最小,表明断裂对其附近台站快剪切波偏振方向影响大不,区域各向异性和断裂破碎程度较弱,断裂内部裂隙可能存在愈合的现象.另外,本文还针对1976年唐山M_S7.8地震后在唐山断裂带上出现的尖端效应是否对唐山断裂带北段应力场产生了影响做出了讨论.本研究结果不仅反映了断裂分布的复杂程度与地壳各向异性的关系,还揭示了地壳各向异性在不同破碎程度断裂上的差异. 展开更多

复杂地应力环境下隧道底鼓处治技术研究

西南地区某隧道仰拱出现底鼓病害,道床开裂变形严重,底鼓速率快,运营安全隐患高。为安全高效处治运营线路无砟轨道隧道底鼓病害问题,采用现场调查、探孔验证、地质补勘等方式,对既有隧道结构现状、病害成因进行了调查,优选了处置方案。... 西南地区某隧道仰拱出现底鼓病害,道床开裂变形严重,底鼓速率快,运营安全隐患高。为安全高效处治运营线路无砟轨道隧道底鼓病害问题,采用现场调查、探孔验证、地质补勘等方式,对既有隧道结构现状、病害成因进行了调查,优选了处置方案。结果表明:(1)通过对病害发育程度、地下水情况、混凝土状态、围岩地应力、结构变形等因素的综合分析,得出复杂地应力环境下缓倾软弱岩层与地下水的相互作用是造成该隧道上拱的主要原因;(2)对隧底注浆加固、隧底微型桩、隧底桩筏结构、道床抗拉锚杆(索)及隧底拆换并加深加强结构等方案进行比选,确定采用增大矢跨比、隧底加深加强的拆换重构方案;(3)在施工过程中加强应急管理,根据沉降观测、应力监测、隧底围岩位移监测等数据分析,及时优化调整设计方案,整治完成后效果良好。研究成果可供后续工程借鉴和参考。 展开更多

By inversion of fault slip data for Quaternary tectonic stress field and the analysis of crustal deformation after lateTeriary. we explaincd the evolution of crustal dynamic about the north and east margin of Qinghai-Xizang (Tibet)plateau since Miocenc. From middle or late Miocene to early Pleistocene, the tectonic stress field was featured by amaximum principal compression which was coming from the collision of india Plate continued to the boundaryof the plateau. and was basically of reverse faulting type. Since the late period of early Pleistocene, Pleistocene continuedto push northward and the compressional deformation of the plateau interior increased continuously, meanwhile,N W-SE extension appeared on the east side of the plateau. This formed a favorable condition for the interior block offoe plateau to slide towards east and southeast, causing the faults surrounding the plateau to change from thrust tostrike-slip. -The contemporary tectonic stress field was formed from the late period of early Pleistocene and continuedto present. The direction of maximum principal compressional stress rotated clockwise with respect to the previoustectonic stress held. the stress field was mainly of strike-slip type. 展开更多

为了研究天然地应力作用下裂隙产状等因素对深部岩体裂隙渗流特性的影响,基于单裂隙面渗透性服从负指数变化规律,建立了三维应力作用下不同产状裂隙的渗透系数计算公式,利用Lagrange乘子法分析裂隙面产状变化对其渗透性的影响,并分析了... 为了研究天然地应力作用下裂隙产状等因素对深部岩体裂隙渗流特性的影响,基于单裂隙面渗透性服从负指数变化规律,建立了三维应力作用下不同产状裂隙的渗透系数计算公式,利用Lagrange乘子法分析裂隙面产状变化对其渗透性的影响,并分析了岩体裂隙有、无充填物对其渗透性的影响及敏感性;然后,以我国大陆地区地应力统计规律为例,分析了地表以下5 000 m范围内在天然地应力作用下裂隙渗透性随深度、产状的变化规律。结果表明:裂隙产状的变化对其渗流特性有明显影响,对于浅层岩体,在大主应力大致呈水平方向分布时,随着裂隙面倾角的增加,裂隙渗透系数逐渐降低;但随着深度的增加,在裂隙深度超过约200 m和裂隙面走向与大或中主应力方向大致一致时,裂隙渗透性反而会随着裂隙面倾角的增加逐渐增加,在裂隙面走向与小主应力方向垂直时增加最为明显;对于深部岩体,裂隙的渗透性很小,裂隙面产状的变化对其渗透性影响很弱;对于有充填物裂隙,岩块与充填物的弹模比和充填物泊松比的变化对裂隙渗透性的影响很小。研究结果可为深入研究我国深部岩体渗透特性变化规律提供借鉴意义。 展开更多
