However, they cannot be used to p...Extensive studies based on partition curve of gravity separation have been investigated. All created models are merely used to simulate density distribution at the same size fraction. However, they cannot be used to predictive distribution of materials depending on compound feature of density and size. According to this situation, an improved model of partition curve based on accumulation normal distribution, which was distinguished from conventional model of accumulation normal distribution for partition curve, was proposed in this paper. It could simulate density distribution at different size fractions by using the density-size compound index and conflating the partition curves at different size fractions as one partition curve. The feasibility of three compound indexes, including mass index, settlement index and transformation index, were investigated. Specific forms of the improved model were also proposed. It is found that transformation index leads to the best fitting results, while the fitting error is only 1.75 according to the fitting partition curve.展开更多

Through the control theory, the stability conditions are obtained,and by using nonlinear analysis, the time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau(TDGL) equation and the modified Korteweg-de Vries(mKdV) equation are derived. Furthermore, the connection between TDGL and mKdV equations is also given. The numerical simulation is consistent with the theoretical analysis. The evolution of a traffic jam and the corresponding energy consumption are explored. The numerical results show that the control scheme is effective not only to suppress the traffic jam but also to reduce the energy consumption.展开更多

Using this model, the cavitation phenomena induced by density perturbation are simulated to obtain the coexistence densities at certain temperature and to demonstrate the Young–Laplace equation. Then, the cavitation bubble collapse near a curved rigid wall and the consequent high-speed jet towards the wall are simulated. In terms of the stochastic process, four characteristics concerning the local error of curves, namely, mean ...A stochastic error process of curves is proposed as the error model to describe the errors of curves in GIS. In terms of the stochastic process, four characteristics concerning the local error of curves, namely, mean error function, standard error function, absolute error function, and the correlation function of errors , are put forward. The total error of a curve is expressed by a mean square integral of the stochastic error process. The probabilistic meanings and geometric meanings of the characteristics mentioned above are also discussed. A scan digitization experiment is designed to check the efficiency of the model. In the experiment, a piece of contour line is digitized for more than 100 times and lots of sample functions are derived from the experiment. Finally, all the error characteristics are estimated on the basis of sample functions. The experiment results show that the systematic error in digitized map data is not negligible, and the errors of points on curves are chiefly dependent on the curvature and the concavity of the curves.展开更多
A new method of robust damper design is presented for elastic-plastic multi-degree-of-freedom(MDOF)building structures under multi-level ground motions(GMs).This method realizes a design that is effective for various ...A new method of robust damper design is presented for elastic-plastic multi-degree-of-freedom(MDOF)building structures under multi-level ground motions(GMs).This method realizes a design that is effective for various levels of GMs.The robustness of a design is measured by an incremental dynamic analysis(IDA)curve and an ideal drift response curve(IDRC).The IDRC is a plot of the optimized maximum deformation under a constraint on the total damper quantity vs.the design level of the GMs.The total damper quantity corresponds to the total cost of the added dampers.First,a problem of generation of IDRCs is stated.Then,its solution algorithm,which consists of the sensitivity-based algorithm(SBA)and a local search method,is proposed.In the application of the SBA,the passive added dampers are removed sequentially under the specified-level GMs.On the other hand,the proposed local search method can search the optimal solutions for a constant total damper quantity under GMs’increased levels.In this way,combining these two algorithms enables the comprehensive search of the optimal solutions for various conditions of the status of the GMs and the total damper quantity.The influence of selecting the type of added dampers(oil,hysteretic,and so on)and the selection of the input GMs on the IDRCs are investigated.Finally,a robust optimal design problem is formulated,and a simple local search-based algorithm is proposed.A simple index using the IDRC and the IDA curve of the model is used as the objective function.It is demonstrated that the proposed algorithm works well in spite of its simplicity.展开更多

An accurate finite element ( FE) model was constructed to examine the hysteretic behavior of double-skin steel-concrete composite box ( DSCB) piers for further understanding the seismic performance of DSCB piers;...An accurate finite element ( FE) model was constructed to examine the hysteretic behavior of double-skin steel-concrete composite box ( DSCB) piers for further understanding the seismic performance of DSCB piers; where the local buckling behavior of steel tubes, the confinement of the in-filled concrete and the interface action between steel tube and in-filled concrete were considered. The accuracy of the proposed FE model was verified by the bidirectional cyclic loading test results. Based on the validated FE model, the effects of some key parameters, such as section width to steel thickness ratio, slenderness ratio, aspect ratio and axial load ratio on the hysteretic behavior of DSCB piers were investigated. Finally, the skeleton curve model of DSCB piers was proposed. The numerical simulation results reveal that the peak strength and elastic stiffness decrease with the increase of the section width to steel thickness ratio. Moreover, the increase of the slenderness ratio may result in a significant reduction in the peak strength and elastic stiffness while the ultimate displacement increases. The proposed skeleton curve model can be taken as a reference for seismic performance analyses of the DSCB piers.展开更多
A new analytical solution for ground surface settlement induced by deep excavation is proposed based on the elastic half space Melan’s solution,and the analytical model is related to the physical and mechanical prope...A new analytical solution for ground surface settlement induced by deep excavation is proposed based on the elastic half space Melan’s solution,and the analytical model is related to the physical and mechanical properties of soil with the loading and unloading action during excavation process.The change law of earth pressure of the normal consolidation soil after the foundation pit excavation was analyzed,and elastic displacement calculation methods of analytic solution were further established given the influence of excavation and unloading.According to the change of stress state in the excavation process of foundation pit,the planar mechanical analysis model of the foundation excavation problem was established.By combining this model with the physical equations and geometric equations of plane strain problem with consideration of the loading and unloading modulus of soil,constitutive equation of the plane strain problem was also established.The loading and unloading modulus formula was obtained by using the parameter calculation method in Duncan-Chang curve model.The constitutive equation obtained from the model was used to calculate the soil stress state of each point to determine its loading and unloading modulus.Finally,the foundation pit displacement change after excavation was calculated,and thus the soil pressure distribution after retaining structure deformation.The theoretical results calculated by making corresponding programs were applied to engineering practice.By comparing the conventional calculation results with monitoring results,the practicability and feasibility of the calculation model were verified,which should provide a theoretical basis for similar projects.展开更多
Removal of dye from the industrial wastewater is one of the most important subjects in water pollution regulation.Successive adsorption/desorption cycles of a basic dye, methylene blue, on the internal almond shell, s...Removal of dye from the industrial wastewater is one of the most important subjects in water pollution regulation.Successive adsorption/desorption cycles of a basic dye, methylene blue, on the internal almond shell, sheep manure waste and sawdust were investigated using fixed bed column experiments in order to study the adsorption capacity to remove MB and adsorbent regeneration efficiency. The adsorption breakthrough curves were predicted by the Thomas model, Yoon Nelson model, and Wolborska model and modified dose–response model using non-linear regression analysis. The results showed that the modified dose–response model was more suitable for the description of breakthrough curves for three adsorbents only in the first cycle. Although sheep manure waste presents the highest adsorption capacity, it is hard to regenerate and needs more time regeneration. Conversely, the internal almond shell presents lower adsorption capacity, but they are more readily regenerated.展开更多

The numerical calculation of laminar and turbulent flown in divergent curved channels was carried out by means of parabolizeil computation method. The calculating results were used to analyze and investigate the aerodynamic performance of talor cascades in compressors preliminarily.
文摘The aging society has dawned on China,and the pension industry is now considered to be a sunrise industry.In 2020,the number of people over the age of 65 in Chongqing had reached more than 5.47 million.At present,the mainstream home-based care,children support,and institutional care cannot fully meet the needs of the elderly for food,housing,medical care,nursing,and entertainment.The value curve model from“Blue Ocean Strategy”is used to look for innovative,differentiated competitive strategies.Through community-sharing pension institutions,it is believed that a new model that provides lower prices and more professional medical care services for the elderly,enriches the spiritual world of the elderly with rich entertainment activities,and connects social services through an elderly studio to meet the needs of the elderly for self-realization can be introduced.

文摘An accurate finite element ( FE) model was constructed to examine the hysteretic behavior of double-skin steel-concrete composite box ( DSCB) piers for further understanding the seismic performance of DSCB piers; where the local buckling behavior of steel tubes, the confinement of the in-filled concrete and the interface action between steel tube and in-filled concrete were considered. The accuracy of the proposed FE model was verified by the bidirectional cyclic loading test results. Based on the validated FE model, the effects of some key parameters, such as section width to steel thickness ratio, slenderness ratio, aspect ratio and axial load ratio on the hysteretic behavior of DSCB piers were investigated. Finally, the skeleton curve model of DSCB piers was proposed. The numerical simulation results reveal that the peak strength and elastic stiffness decrease with the increase of the section width to steel thickness ratio. Moreover, the increase of the slenderness ratio may result in a significant reduction in the peak strength and elastic stiffness while the ultimate displacement increases. The proposed skeleton curve model can be taken as a reference for seismic performance analyses of the DSCB piers.

文摘A new analytical solution for ground surface settlement induced by deep excavation is proposed based on the elastic half space Melan’s solution,and the analytical model is related to the physical and mechanical properties of soil with the loading and unloading action during excavation process.The change law of earth pressure of the normal consolidation soil after the foundation pit excavation was analyzed,and elastic displacement calculation methods of analytic solution were further established given the influence of excavation and unloading.According to the change of stress state in the excavation process of foundation pit,the planar mechanical analysis model of the foundation excavation problem was established.By combining this model with the physical equations and geometric equations of plane strain problem with consideration of the loading and unloading modulus of soil,constitutive equation of the plane strain problem was also established.The loading and unloading modulus formula was obtained by using the parameter calculation method in Duncan-Chang curve model.The constitutive equation obtained from the model was used to calculate the soil stress state of each point to determine its loading and unloading modulus.Finally,the foundation pit displacement change after excavation was calculated,and thus the soil pressure distribution after retaining structure deformation.The theoretical results calculated by making corresponding programs were applied to engineering practice.By comparing the conventional calculation results with monitoring results,the practicability and feasibility of the calculation model were verified,which should provide a theoretical basis for similar projects.
文摘Removal of dye from the industrial wastewater is one of the most important subjects in water pollution regulation.Successive adsorption/desorption cycles of a basic dye, methylene blue, on the internal almond shell, sheep manure waste and sawdust were investigated using fixed bed column experiments in order to study the adsorption capacity to remove MB and adsorbent regeneration efficiency. The adsorption breakthrough curves were predicted by the Thomas model, Yoon Nelson model, and Wolborska model and modified dose–response model using non-linear regression analysis. The results showed that the modified dose–response model was more suitable for the description of breakthrough curves for three adsorbents only in the first cycle. Although sheep manure waste presents the highest adsorption capacity, it is hard to regenerate and needs more time regeneration. Conversely, the internal almond shell presents lower adsorption capacity, but they are more readily regenerated.
