旋转平台在低速运转过程中易产生非线性摩擦,由于非线性因素的影响,传统PID算法的控制效果远不能满足超精密运动平台定位精度高、响应快速等要求。因此,设计了基于DSP+FPGA的旋转平台自抗扰控制算法(active disturbance rejection contr... 旋转平台在低速运转过程中易产生非线性摩擦,由于非线性因素的影响,传统PID算法的控制效果远不能满足超精密运动平台定位精度高、响应快速等要求。因此,设计了基于DSP+FPGA的旋转平台自抗扰控制算法(active disturbance rejection control,ADRC),利用扩张状态观测器(extend states observer,ESO)对系统内外部未知扰动进行实时估计并予以补偿,提升系统响应速度,增强鲁棒性与抗干扰能力。最后,通过正弦扫描实验进行验证,PID对正弦输入信号无法及时响应,超调明显;ADRC响应迅速,稳态误差波动小。相比PID,ADRC最大跟踪误差降低79.5%,跟踪误差平均值降低65.4%。 展开更多

The development of an effective methodology for the design of such control systems undoubtedly requires the synthesis of many concepts from artificial intelligence. The most commonly used controller in the industry field is the proportional-plus-integral-plus-derivative (PID) controller. Fuzzy logic controller (FLC) provides an alternative to PID controller, especially when the available system models are inexact or unavailable. Also rapid advances in digital technologies have given designers the option of implementing controllers using Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) which depends on parallel programming. This method has many advantages over classical microprocessors. In this research, A model of the fuzzy PID control system is implemented in real time with a Xilinx FPGA (Spartan-3A, Xilinx Company, 2007). It is introduced to maintain a constant speed to when the load varies.,The model of a DC motor is considered as a second order system with load variation as a an example for complex model systems. For comparison purpose, two widely used controllers “PID and Fuzzy” have been implemented in the same FPGA card to examine the performance of the proposed system. These controllers have been tested using Matlab/Simulink program under speed and load variation conditions. The controllers were implemented to run the motor as real time application under speed and load variation conditions and showed the superiority of Fuzzy-PID. 展开更多

A novel control system is developed to improve the capabilities of robet hand performing tasks in a variety of environments. A joint impedance control strategy has been successfully implemented in the low level control of a highly integrated robot hand. At flint, a real time controller with DSP&FPGA-based multilevel control architecture is built. Then a current sensor of the single direct current (DC) link is used to measure and reconstruct the three phase currents, and a stable current signal is measured by optimizing sample instant. The experimental results of the joint impedance control show that the proposed method not only improves the effectiveness of contact environment performance, but also provides compliant interaction of robot hand with a person, which is very important for the development of friendly human robot of the next generation. 展开更多

The high-speed computational performance is gained at the cost of huge hardware resource,which restricts the application of high-accuracy algorithms because of the limited hardware cost in practical use.To solve the problem,a novel method for designing the field programmable gate array(FPGA)-based non-uniform rational B-spline(NURBS) interpolator and motion controller,which adopts the embedded multiprocessor technique,is proposed in this study.The hardware and software design for the multiprocessor,one of which is for NURBS interpolation and the other for position servo control,is presented.Performance analysis and experiments on an X-Y table are carried out,hardware cost as well as consuming time for interpolation and motion control is compared with the existing methods.The experimental and comparing results indicate that,compared with the existing methods,the proposed method can reduce the hardware cost by 97.5% using higher-accuracy interpolation algorithm within the period of 0.5 ms.A method which ensures the real-time performance and interpolation accuracy,and reduces the hardware cost significantly is proposed,and it’s practical in the use of industrial application. 展开更多

It is proposed a digital signal processing (DSP) controller used in the control system of six degree-of-freedom (DOF) giant magnetostrictive smart structure (GMSS). Also are presented the controller design and its implementation, the embedded adaptive least mean-square (LMS) control algorithm and the real-time experiments of GMSS. Three programs are embedded in this controller. Of them are the adaptive LMS control algorithm and the other two which are used to search for the optimal values for the initial weight vectors. Moreover, the work flow and the control approach of the GMSS with the DSP controller are introduced. The experimental results indicate that the DSP controller has better control precision and real-time property, and the damping effect is up to 20 dB-30 dB. 展开更多

Reduction of current chopping noise with DSP controller in switched reluctance motor drive system

A novel current chopping mode was used in a switched reluctance motor drive system to make full use of the characteristics of digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320F240. The necessity of this 180° phase-shift current control (PSCC) mode is introduced first and then the principle of PSCC covering both hardware requirement and software programming is described in detail. The analysis made indicated that with this mode, the chopping frequency in winding can reach 20 kHz with 10 kHz power switches and the control frequency can reach 40 kHz at the same time. Subsequently, based on the linear and nonlinear mathematical models of the switched reluctance motor (SRM), some simulation work has been done. The simulation results show that when this mode is applied to SRM drive (SRD) system, the current waveform becomes better. So the ripple of the torque is reduced simultaneously and the vibration and acoustic noise are reduced involuntarily. Stationary tests show that the acoustic noise is greatly diminished. Finally, some experiments were made using a 50 kW SRD system for electric vehicle (EV). Experimental results indicate that this mode can be implemented feasibly and it has a good action on the SRD system. 展开更多

DSP Based Simulator for Speed Control of the Synchronous Reluctance Motor Using Hysteresis Current Controller

This paper presents the field oriented vector control scheme for synchronous reluctance motor (SRM) drives, where current controller followed by hysteresis comparator is used. The test motor has a star-connected wound stator and a segmental rotor of the multiple barrier type with an external incremental encoder to sense rotor position. The magnetic characteristics of this motor are described using 2D finite element method, which is used firstly for rotor design of SRM. The field oriented vector control, that regulates the speed of the SRM, is provided by a quadrature axis current command developed by the speed controller. The simulation includes all realistic components of the system. This enables the calculation of currents and voltages in different parts of the voltage source inverter (VSI) and motor under transient and steady state conditions. Implementation has been done in MATLAB/Simulink. A study of hysteresis control scheme associated with current controllers has been made. Experimental results of the SRM control using TMS320F24X DSP board are presented. The speed of the SRM is successfully controlled in the constant torque region. Experimental results of closed loop speed control of the SRM are given to verify the proposed scheme. 展开更多

Two control criteria were considered, the integral of the time multiplied by the absolute error (ITAE), and the integral of the time multiplied by the absolute output (ITAY). The time variant plant tested is a first-order plant with time delay. We aim at a real time implementation inside a digital board, so, the previous continuous approach was discretized and tested;the corresponding control algorithm is presented in this paper. The genetic algorithms and the PID controller are executed using the soft processor NIOS II in the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). The automation process is a very important pillar for Industry 4.0.One of the first steps is the control of motors to improve production efficiency and generate energy savings.In mass production industries,techniques such as digital signal processing(DSP)systems are implemented to control motors.These systems are efficient but very expensive for certain applications.From this arises the need for a controller capable of handling AC and DC motors that improves efficiency and maintains low energy consumption.This project presents the design of an adaptive control system for brushless AC induction and DC motors,which is functional to any type of plant in the industry.The design was possible by implementing Matlab software and tools such as digital signal processor(DSP)and Simulink.Through an extensive investigation of the state of the art,three models needed to represent the control system have been specified.The first model for the AC motor,the second for the DC motor and the third for the DSP control;this is done in this way so that the probability of failure is lower.Subsequently,these models have been programmed in Simulink,integrating the three main models into one.In this way,the design of a controller for use in AC induction motors,specifically squirrel cage and brushless DC motors,has been achieved.The final model represents a response time of 0.25 seconds,which is optimal for this type of application,where response times of 2e-3 to 3 seconds are expected. 展开更多
