It seems reverberation time changes due to studio’s decor is little because surface of the decor is small in comparison with the overall surfaces of the studio and surface has an important role in room constant and therefore in reverberation time. But these changes do not only depend on added surfaces and their absorption. Reverberation time is also dependent on shape of the decor and sometimes. It can decrease the effects of added surfaces which are used to increase the reverberation time. In this paper, a standard television studio is designed and implemented by using ODEON and 12 different decor which their dimensions and materials are similar to the actual ones, are applied inside the studio. Then studio’s decor effects on reverberation time of the studio are computed, compared and analyzed.展开更多
This study aims to investigate the feasibility of using decoration waste powder(DWP)as a partial replacement for fly ash(FA)in the preparation of geopolymer masonry mortar,and to examine the effect of different DWP re...This study aims to investigate the feasibility of using decoration waste powder(DWP)as a partial replacement for fly ash(FA)in the preparation of geopolymer masonry mortar,and to examine the effect of different DWP replacement rates(0%-40%)on the fresh and mechanical properties of the mortar.The results showed that each group of geopolymer masonry mortar exhibited excellent water retention performance,with a water retention rate of 100%,which was due to the unique geopolymer mortar system and high viscosity of the alkaline activator solution.Compared to the control group,the flowability of the mortar containing lower contents of DWP(10%and 20%)was higher.However,as the DWP replacement rate further increased,the flowability gradually decreased.The DWP could absorb the free water in the reaction system of geopolymer mortar,thereby limiting the occurrence of geopolymerization reaction.The incorporation of DWP in the mortar resulted in a decrease in compressive strength compared to the mortar without DWP.However,even at a replacement rate of 40%,the compressive strength of the mortar still exceeded 15 MPa,which met the requirements of the masonry mortar.It was feasible to use DWP in the geopolymer masonry mortar.Although the addition of DWP caused some performance loss,it did not affect its usability.展开更多
Photosensors with versatile functionalities have emerged as a cornerstone for breakthroughs in the future optoelectronic systems across a wide range of applications.In particular,emerging photoelectrochemical(PEC)-typ...Photosensors with versatile functionalities have emerged as a cornerstone for breakthroughs in the future optoelectronic systems across a wide range of applications.In particular,emerging photoelectrochemical(PEC)-type devices have recently attracted extensive interest in liquid-based biosensing applications due to their natural electrolyte-assisted operating characteristics.Herein,a PEC-type photosensor was carefully designed and constructed by employing gallium nitride(GaN)p-n homojunction semiconductor nanowires on silicon,with the p-GaN segment strategically doped and then decorated with cobalt-nickel oxide(CoNiO_(x)).Essentially,the p-n homojunction configuration with facile p-doping engineering improves carrier separation efficiency and facilitates carrier transfer to the nanowire surface,while CoNiO_(x)decoration further boosts PEC reaction activity and carrier dynamics at the nanowire/electrolyte interface.Consequently,the constructed photosensor achieves a high responsivity of 247.8 mA W^(-1)while simultaneously exhibiting excellent operating stability.Strikingly,based on the remarkable stability and high responsivity of the device,a glucose sensing system was established with a demonstration of glucose level determination in real human serum.This work offers a feasible and universal approach in the pursuit of high-performance bio-related sensing applications via a rational design of PEC devices in the form of nanostructured architecture with strategic doping engineering.展开更多

Nests are important structures for birds to raise their offspring and for signaling.Many birds incorporate feathers into the nest,since feathers were traditionally thought to serve the function of insulation.Hypothese...Nests are important structures for birds to raise their offspring and for signaling.Many birds incorporate feathers into the nest,since feathers were traditionally thought to serve the function of insulation.Hypotheses in recent years have considered that some birds place feathers in conspicuous locations in the nest for decoration to trigger a fear response in the competitors.In this study,we investigated whether decorative feathers could deter nest usurpation by Crested Mynas(Acridotheres cristatellus)by manipulating nest box contents.The results revealed that Crested Mynas preferred black feathers to white feathers as decorations and occupied nest boxes decorated with black feathers significantly less than those decorated with white feathers,suggesting that black decorative feathers in the nest could be more effective in preventing nest usurpation by Crested Mynas and that white decorative feathers may have other functions.The black feathers in the nest are prominently placed at the edge of the nest to convey the message that“this nest is occupied”or“the owner of this nest has been preyed upon”to visitor Crested Mynas,thus effectively preventing them from usurping the nest at a later stage.展开更多

(Caprifoliaceae Juss.) was studied for the first time in the cond...Seed germination (in laboratory and field conditions) and vegetative reproduction (by cuttings) of a promising decorative species—Lonicera tatarica L. (Caprifoliaceae Juss.) was studied for the first time in the conditions of introduction of the Tashkent Botanical Garden of Uzbekistan. Thus, the optimal temperature for germination of L. tatarica seeds in laboratory conditions is +20°C + 22°C, at which germination was 73%. The germination rate of seeds sown in autumn in the field was 62%, and the germination rate of seeds sown in spring was 71%. It was noted that in greenhouse conditions at an air temperature of 20°C - 22°C and a relative humidity of 49% - 53%, the rootability of cuttings was 75%. It was revealed that the studied species adapted well to the conditions of introduction. Taking into account the effectiveness of vegetative reproduction of L. tatarica, it can be recommended for improving the aesthetic condition and landscaping of cities, landscaping and landscape design.展开更多

Anatase TiO2 nanocrystals and sub-microcrystals with truncated octahedral bipyramidal morphologies were prepared by direct calcination of TiOF2 precursors. The as-prepared TiO2 samples were thoroughly characterized by...Anatase TiO2 nanocrystals and sub-microcrystals with truncated octahedral bipyramidal morphologies were prepared by direct calcination of TiOF2 precursors. The as-prepared TiO2 samples were thoroughly characterized by X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, field-emission scanning electron microscopy, N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and UV-visible diffuse spectroscopy. It was found that the crystallinity, grain size, and {001}/{101} ratio of the samples can be increased by raising the calcination temperature from 500 to 800℃. The higher crystallinity and {001}/{101} facet ratio resulted in an increase in both aqueous and gas-phase photocatalytic activities, by inhibiting the recombination and separation of electrons and holes. After selecting two TiO2 samples with high crystallinity and {001}/{101} ratio, Au nanoparticles were decorated on their surfaces, and the photocatalytic activity of the resulting samples under visible light illumination was studied. It was found that the visible light-induced photocatalytic activity increased by 2.6 and 4.8 times, respectively, upon Au decoration of the samples prepared by calcination of TiOF2 at 700 and 800℃.展开更多
Lattice‐doping and surface decoration are prospective routes to improve the visible‐light photocatalytic ability of TiO2,but the two techniques are difficult to combine into one preparation process because they are ...Lattice‐doping and surface decoration are prospective routes to improve the visible‐light photocatalytic ability of TiO2,but the two techniques are difficult to combine into one preparation process because they are usually conducted under different conditions,which limits the efficiency of TiO2 modification.In this study,TiO2 was successfully modified by simultaneous lattice‐doping and surface decoration,and the visible‐light photocatalytic capacity was largely improved.Upon comparing the method reported here with previous ones,the most significant difference is that Fe(II)‐phenanthroline was first used as the co‐precursor of the introduced elements of C,N,and Fe.These three elements were simultaneously introduced to TiO2 at high levels by this co‐precursor method.The as‐synthesized photocatalysts were systemically investigated and analyzed by several characterization methods such as XRD,FT‐IR,XPS,Raman spectroscopy,EPR,UV‐Vis DRS,photoluminescence spectra,photocurrent,electrochemical impedance spectra,TEM,and HRTEM.The photocatalytic degradation of 4‐NP under visible‐light irradiation was used to evaluate the photocatalytic activity of the photocatalysts.Based on the experimental data,a probable mechanism for the photocatalytic degradation by the photocatalysts is proposed.This is a novel method of using one source to simultaneously introduce metal and non‐metal elements to TiO2 at high levels,which may provide a new way to prepare highly effective TiO2 photocatalysts.展开更多

文摘Up to now,The Iconography of the Decorated Writing-Paper of the Ten Bamboo Studio(shortened as Iconography)is the first large-scale book to systematically study and interpret the notes and pictures of The Decorated Writing-Paper of the Ten Bamboo Studio(shortened as Ten Bamboo).The Iconography explains the sources and interpretations of 123 paintings in 15 groups.The content covers the celebrities and historical allusions of Tessa in the past dynasties,in which there are many nicknames that are full of Chinese characteristics.This paper takes the English translation of characters’nicknames in Iconography as the research object.Through the research,it is found that the translation of these characters’nicknames mainly adopts the methods of transliteration,explanation,literal translation with annotations and free translation.Through the analysis of specific cases,this paper tries to make the translation meet the reading expectation of the target readers to the maximum extent,and provide reference for the English translation of related classical works.

文摘Peking Union Medical College was founded in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China.Since then,society and politics have been rapidly changing,and its architectural aesthetics reflect the idea of advocating the West and inheriting tradition.Through research and actual investigation,this paper summarizes the current status of its building from two aspects,interior decoration art and interior decoration technology,analyzes the interior decoration characteristics of Peking Union Medical College Phase I Project,and records the archives of Peking Union Medical College’s decoration technology.

文摘Anatase TiO2 nanocrystals and sub-microcrystals with truncated octahedral bipyramidal morphologies were prepared by direct calcination of TiOF2 precursors. The as-prepared TiO2 samples were thoroughly characterized by X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, field-emission scanning electron microscopy, N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and UV-visible diffuse spectroscopy. It was found that the crystallinity, grain size, and {001}/{101} ratio of the samples can be increased by raising the calcination temperature from 500 to 800℃. The higher crystallinity and {001}/{101} facet ratio resulted in an increase in both aqueous and gas-phase photocatalytic activities, by inhibiting the recombination and separation of electrons and holes. After selecting two TiO2 samples with high crystallinity and {001}/{101} ratio, Au nanoparticles were decorated on their surfaces, and the photocatalytic activity of the resulting samples under visible light illumination was studied. It was found that the visible light-induced photocatalytic activity increased by 2.6 and 4.8 times, respectively, upon Au decoration of the samples prepared by calcination of TiOF2 at 700 and 800℃.

文摘Lattice‐doping and surface decoration are prospective routes to improve the visible‐light photocatalytic ability of TiO2,but the two techniques are difficult to combine into one preparation process because they are usually conducted under different conditions,which limits the efficiency of TiO2 modification.In this study,TiO2 was successfully modified by simultaneous lattice‐doping and surface decoration,and the visible‐light photocatalytic capacity was largely improved.Upon comparing the method reported here with previous ones,the most significant difference is that Fe(II)‐phenanthroline was first used as the co‐precursor of the introduced elements of C,N,and Fe.These three elements were simultaneously introduced to TiO2 at high levels by this co‐precursor method.The as‐synthesized photocatalysts were systemically investigated and analyzed by several characterization methods such as XRD,FT‐IR,XPS,Raman spectroscopy,EPR,UV‐Vis DRS,photoluminescence spectra,photocurrent,electrochemical impedance spectra,TEM,and HRTEM.The photocatalytic degradation of 4‐NP under visible‐light irradiation was used to evaluate the photocatalytic activity of the photocatalysts.Based on the experimental data,a probable mechanism for the photocatalytic degradation by the photocatalysts is proposed.This is a novel method of using one source to simultaneously introduce metal and non‐metal elements to TiO2 at high levels,which may provide a new way to prepare highly effective TiO2 photocatalysts.
