In this research,we proposed a non-linear SIS model to study the effect of variable interaction rates and non-emigrating population of the human habitat on the spread of bacteria-infected diseases.It assumed that the growth of bacteria is logistic with an intrinsic growth rate is a linear function of infectives.In this model,we assume that contact rates between susceptibles and infectives as well as between susceptibles and bacteria depend on the density of the non-emigrating population and the total population of the habitat.The stability theory has been analyzed to analyzed to study the crucial role played by bacteria in the increased spread of an infectious disease.It is shown that as the density of non-emigrating population increases,the spread of an infectious disease increases.It is shown further that as the emigration increases,the spread of the disease decreases in both the cases of contact mentioned above rates,but this spread increases as these contact rates increase.It suggested that the control of bacteria in the human habitat is very useful to decrease the spread of an infectious disease.These results are confirmed by numerical simulation. 展开更多

The mechanical properties of laser welded joints under impact loadings such as explosion and car crash etc. are critical for the engineering designs. The hardness, static and dynamic mechanical properties of AISI304 and AISI316L dissimilar stainless steel welded joints by CO2 laser were experimentally studied. The dynamic strainstress curves at the strain rate around 103 s-1 were obtained by the split Hopkinson tensile bar (SHTB). The static mechanical properties of the welded joints have little changes with the laser power density and all fracture occurs at 316 L side. However, the strain rate sensitivity has a strong depen- dence on laser power density. The value of strain rate factor decreases with the increase of laser power density. The welded joint which may be applied for the impact loading can be obtained by reducing the laser power density in the case of welding quality assurance. 展开更多

The Changes of Heart Rate Power Spectral Density during Head-up Tilt Test

To study the role of autonomic nervous system in the period of developing syncope induced by head-up tilt test(HUT), we analysed the changes of heart rate power spectral density(HRPSD) in 50 patients with unexplained syncope, including 15 positive patients (Group 1) and 35 negative patients(Group 2), and 15 negative healthy persons(Group 3) in 5 minute periods before and after tilting and 5 minutes before the end of test. HRPSD and their changes in total(T), very low-frequence(VLF), low-frequence(LF), high-frequence(HF) and the ratio of low/high frequence(LF/HF) were similar (P>0.05) 5 minutes before and after tilting among three groups. Five minutes before the end of test, Group 1 had obvious increase of T, VLF, LF and LF/HF while Group 2 and 3 had not such significant changes. There was significant difference(P<0.01) compared Group 1 with Group 2, 3. The results showed that the abnormal regulatory function of autonomic nervous system played an important role in the mechanism of symcope induced by HUT, the positive group had abnormal increase of sympathetic tone and imbalance of sympathetic/parasympathetic neural tone before syncope appeared. 展开更多

The T-junction microchannel device makes available a sharp edge to form micro-droplets from biomaterial solutions. This article investigates the effects of injection angle, flow rate ratio, density ratio,viscosity ratio, contact angle, and slip length in the process of formation of uniform droplets in microfluidic T-junctions. The governing equations were solved by the commercial software. The results show that contact angle, slip length, and injection angles near the perpendicular and parallel conditions have an increasing effect on the diameter of generated droplets, while flow rate, density and viscosity ratios, and other injection angles had a decreasing effect on the diameter. 展开更多

The effect of solidification cooling rate on the size and distribution of inclusions in 12%Cr stainless steel was investigated. A wide range of solidification cooling rates(from 0.05 to 106 K·s^-1) was achieved using various solidification processes, including conventional casting, laser remelting, and melt spinning. The size and distribution of inclusions in the steel were observed and statistically collected. For comparison, mathematical models were used to calculate the sizes of inclusions at different solidification cooling rates. Both the statistical size determined from observations and that predicted from calculations tended to decrease with increasing cooling rate; however, the experimental and calculated results did not agree well with each other at excessively high or low cooling rate. The reasons for this discrepancy were theoretically analyzed. For the size distribution of inclusions, the effect of cooling rate on the number densities of large-sized(〉 2 μm) inclusions and small-sized(≤ 2 μm) inclusions were distinct. The number density of inclusions larger than 1 μm was not affected when the cooing rate was less than or equal to 6 K·s^-1 because inclusion precipitation was suppressed by the increased cooling rate. 展开更多

Performance of M-QAM, M-DPSK and M-PSK with MRC diversity in a Nakagami-m fading channel

To design a good communication link, it is required to know the statistical model of the channel accurately. The average symbol error probability(ASER) was analyzed for different modulation schemes. A unified analytical framework was presented to obtain closed-form solutions for calculating the ASER of M-ary differential phase-shift keying(M-DPSK), coherent M-ary phase-shift keying(M-PSK), and quadrature amplitude modulation(QAM) over single or multiple Nakagami-m fading channels. Moreover, the ASER was estimated and evaluated by using the maximal ratio-combining(MRC) diversity technique. Simulation results show that an error rate of the fading channel typically depends on Nakagami parameters(m), space diversity(N), and symbol rate(M). A comparison between M-PSK, M-DPSK, and M-QAM modulation schemes was shown, and the results prove that M-ary QAM(M-QAM) demonstrates better performance compared to M-DPSK and M-PSK under all fading and non-fading conditions. 展开更多

In this article,we review the advancement in nanoseparation and concomitant purification of nanoparticles(NPs) by using density gradient ultracentrifugation technique(DGUC) and demonstrated by taking several typical examples.Study emphasizes the conceptual advances in classification,mechanism of DGUC and synthesis-structure-property relationships of NPs to provide the significant clue for the further synthesis optimization.Separation,concentration,and purification of NPs by DGUC can be achieved at the same time by introducing the water/oil interfaces into the separation chamber.We can develop an efficient method ‘‘lab in a tube" by introducing a reaction zone or an assembly zone in the gradient to find the surface reaction and assembly mechanism of NPs since the reaction time can be precisely controlled and the chemical environment change can be extremely fast.Finally,to achieve the best separation parameters for the colloidal systems,we gave the mathematical descriptions and computational optimized models as a new direction for making practicable and predictable DGUC separation method.Thus,it can be helpful for an efficient separation as well as for the synthesis optimization,assembly and surface reactions as a potential cornerstone for the future development in the nanotechnology and this review can be served as a plethora of advanced notes on the DGUC separation method. 展开更多

This paper aims to find a more general analysis method for the refrigeration performance,and to design a high efficiency modular cooling structure of water-cooled plate.A new analysis method,namely current and refrigeration rate density analysis,is proposed.The general refrigeration performance calculation equations are obtained.A finite-time thermodynamic model of the thermoelectric device is established considering Thomson effect.The basic structure of water-cooled thermoelectric air-conditioner is designed and the specific calculation method is given.The influences of input current density,filling factor and heat transfer conditions on refrigeration performance of the thermoelectric air-conditioner are analyzed,which is compared with refrigeration performance of air-cooled thermoelectric air-conditioner.The results show that the maximum refrigeration rate density of the water-cooled thermoelectric air-conditioner is 8.65 k W/m^(2),and the maximum coefficient of performance(COP)is 2.27 in the case of the cooling temperature differenceΔT=5 K.Compared withΔT=5 K,the maximum refrigeration rate density and the maximum COP ofΔT=15 K decreases by 27.98%and 76.65%,respectively.At the filling factorθ=0.43,the refrigeration rate density and COP are 2.57 k W/m~2 and 1.24,respectively.The experimental device of thermoelectric air-conditioner is established to verify the model.The experimental results show that the maximum value of input current and COP is 4 A and 0.95 with the efficient water-cooling method,respectively.The experimental data coincides with the theoretical calculation,which shows the validity of the analysis method and cooling method. 展开更多

Atmospheric environmental capacity and urban atmospheric load in China's Mainland 被引量:8

Daily and annual average atmospheric environmental capacity coefficient(A-value) sequences for China's Mainland are calculated from hourly data recorded at 378 ground stations over 1975–2014. A-values at different recurrence intervals are calculated by fitting the sequences to Pearson type III distribution curves. Based on these A-values and source-sink balance(reference concentration 100 μg m^(-3)), atmospheric environmental capacities at the recurrence intervals are calculated for all of China's Mainland and each provincial administrative region. The climate average atmospheric environmental capacity reference value for the entire mainland is 2.169×10~7 t yr^(-1). An urban atmospheric load index is defined for analyses of the impact of population density on the urban atmospheric environment. Analyses suggest that this index is also useful for differentiating whether air quality changes are attributable to varying meteorological conditions or variations of artificial emission rate.Equations guiding the control of unorganized emission sources are derived for preventing air quality deterioration during urban expansion and population concentration. 展开更多

Pressure fluctuations signals of a lab-scale fiuidized bed (15 cm inner diameter and 2 m height) at different superficial gas velocities were measured. Recurrence plot (RP) and recurrence rate (RR), and the simplest variable of recurrence quantification analysis (RQA) were used to analyze the pressure signals. Different patterns observed in RP reflect different dynamic behavior of the system under study. It was also found that the variance of RR (a2R) Could reveal the peak dominant frequencies (PDF) of different dynamic systems: completely periodic, completely stochastic, Lorenz system, and fluidized bed. The results were compared with power spectral density. Additionally, the diagram of σ^2RR provides a new technique for prediction of transition velocity from bubbling to turbulent fluidization regime. 展开更多
