Hainan is a major tourist province.It is urgent to promote the transformation and upgrading of Hainan’s tourism industry from a traditional service industry to a modern service industry by means of informatization.Smart tourism is a brand-new tourism form and operation mode of tourism transformation and upgrading.Integrating big data technology will make smart tourism more accurate in three aspects:tourism management,tourism service,and tourism marketing,and further enhance the satisfaction of the tourism experience.This paper studies the development status of smart tourism in Hainan,deeply summarizes its existing problems and causes,and puts forward the development strategy of smart tourism in Hainan to promote the healthy development of the tourism industry in Hainan.

Oil and Gas Supply and Demand in China and Its Development Strategy

The paper makes a comprehensive prediction of China＇s future demand for oil and gas with two methods, i.e. the prediction method based on the demand for individual oil and gas products and the method for predicting the total demand. According to the demand prediction of, and the historical data on, the oil and gas consumption, we conduct an analysis of the oil and gas consumption trends, which can be described as six different development periods. On the other hand, the paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the domestic oil and gas resources and, on this basis, makes a basic prediction of the domestic output of oil and gas. The supply and demand situation is also analyzed. By using the SWOT analysis method, the paper puts forward the development strategies for China＇s oil and gas industry and gives some related strategic measures.

China’s Western Development Strategy for Modernization Drive

The Western Development Strategy(WDS)is a key aspect of China’s coordinated regional development strategy and effort to build a modern country.The world is undergoing profound changes that have not been witnessed in a century.This paper discusses the WDS’s importance in regards to China’s modernization drive and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.First,this paper identifies the WDS’s mission to improve people’s livelihood in China’s western regions,promote common prosperity for the Eurasian continent,and support the green transition of China’s and Eurasian energy economic and environmental systems,and safeguard ecological security in Asia at large.Second,this paper suggests that the key to the WDS is to reshape the geographical layout of economic activity in the western regions to avoid inefficiency.Specifically,China should develop a compact geographical layout of economic activity in the western regions,introduce a unique competition strategy,as well as find solutions for coordinated regional development based on key river basins.Finally,develop smart internet and inland free ports within the western regions.

Regional Economic Types and Development Strategy of Small Towns in Suburb Beijing

The purpose of this article is to classify the regional economic types and development dynamics of small towns in suburb Beijing by applying the classification methods developed by Nelson's method and Location Quotient method into 183 small towns in Beijing.Four types of small towns are thus identified,including urban agriculture dominated towns,manufacturing dominated towns,service industry dominated towns and comprehensive type towns with balanced economic development.Within the environment of geographical information system,the spatial distribution pattern of four types of small towns with their evolution trend is analyzed.The results indicate that four types of small towns have obvious'core-periphery'spatial structure but with different functional orientations and evolution mechanisms.Based on this,the different development strategies for each type of small towns are summarized,providing a scientific reference for the differentiating planning and development strategies of these small towns.

China Petroleum Design & Engineering Company (CPDEC) is a new corporation established in the year 2001. The company puts forward its development objectives for becoming a first-class national and international desigh firm within 5 to 10 years. In this paper, the theories and techniques related to the business environment and strategy are used to make an analysis of the companys development objectives. According to the analysis of the environment and internal conditions of CPDEC, we suggest adoping the strategic measures for reaching the development objectives on the basis of the SWOT (the acronym of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis method. Some conclusions and recommendations on the companys situation and strategies are given.

Development Strategy of Post-Coal Mine Area in Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan Province, Indonesia

East Kalimantan province is one of the largest coal deposit reserve source, especially in the mining and quarrying sector. Mining sector is a strategic sector in East Kalimantan but post coal mining land has the problem for land using. The research method used survey method and laboratory test on 21 entities/companies with the status of cooperative and non-cooperative approach and land resource evaluation on 30 respondent keys （key informant）. Analysis of data is using the evaluation of land potential： Analytical Hierarchy Process （AHP）, IRR, NPV and BCR. The results showed that there are 2 scenarios decisions in the development of coal mining region that is the optimistic scenario on 2 aspects namely： （1） tourism （recreational parks and historical tours） and （2） aspects of the fishery （tilapia, goldfish, catfish）. Then, in the moderate scenario, there are 3 aspects of development： （1） services （administration and housing）; （2） fisheries （cork fish and damselfish） and （3） agriculture （guava, melinjo and dragon fruit）. Optimizing the utilization of post-coal mining land in the regency of Kutai Kartanegara can be carried out with reference to these two types of scenarios as a manifestation of an engine of regional development.
