Numerical diffusion or filter are used in most numerical models in order to eliminate small-scale (near two-grid intervals in wavelength) waves, However, conventional diffusion or filter schemes introduce the noise, and indeed few people realized, by filters themselves. For instance, most filters are troubled when they are put to use on meteorological fields with sharp gradient or with steep slope and consequently, the recurrence of undesirable numerical high-frequent oscillations (overshooting and undershooting) seems to be inevitable, Particularly when diffusion or filter is implemented in limited-area models, serious side effects on the limited-area boundaries often contaminate the modeling results. The merits and demerits are surveyed for commonly used diffusion or filter operations. A new type of monotonic digit filter is suggested to prevent overshooting and undershooting (due to the computational shock and Gibbs oscillation) nearby the discontinuous or nearly discontinuous locations when the filtering process was carried out, meanwhile the high selective property of damping is retained. Moreover, the new filter is designed on the implicit framework so that it can easily handle the problem of boundary diminishing in limited-area modeling. 展开更多

Reducing the control error is vital for high-fidelity digital and analog quantum operations.In superconducting circuits,one disagreeable error arises from the reflection of microwave signals due to impedance mismatch in the control chain.Here,we demonstrate a reflection cancelation method when considering that there are two reflection nodes on the control line.We propose to generate the pre-distortion pulse by passing the envelopes of the microwave signal through digital filters,which enables real-time reflection correction when integrated into the field-programmable gate array(FPGA).We achieve a reduction of single-qubit gate infidelity from 0.67%to 0.11%after eliminating microwave reflection.Real-time correction of microwave reflection paves the way for precise control and manipulation of the qubit state and would ultimately enhance the performance of algorithms and simulations executed on quantum processors. 展开更多

目的研究液滴数字聚合酶链式反应(ddPCR)液滴检测技术,去除图像中灰尘、气泡、芯片表面的划痕以及微小凹陷等因素产生的异常点对结果的影响,实现高通量、稳定和准确的ddPCR液滴的自动检测。方法提出Filter Faster R-CNN ddPCR液滴检测... 目的研究液滴数字聚合酶链式反应(ddPCR)液滴检测技术,去除图像中灰尘、气泡、芯片表面的划痕以及微小凹陷等因素产生的异常点对结果的影响,实现高通量、稳定和准确的ddPCR液滴的自动检测。方法提出Filter Faster R-CNN ddPCR液滴检测模型。使用Faster R-CNN生成液滴预测框,之后使用异常点过滤模块(Filter)去除阳性液滴预测框中的异常点。以诺如病毒片段的质粒为模板进行ddPCR实验,建立一个ddPCR数据集,用于模型的训练(2462例,约占78.56%)和测试(672例,约占21.44%)。对异常点过滤模块的3个过滤支路在验证集上进行消融实验,通过与其他ddPCR液滴检测模型进行比较的对比实验以及进行ddPCR的绝对定量实验。结果在少尘和多尘的环境中,Filter Faster R-CNN阳性液滴准确率为98.23%和88.35%,综合指标F1分数分别达到了99.15%和99.14%,高于其他相比较的模型。独立样本T检验的结果证明,相比未添加过滤模块的网络,添加过滤模块后能够显著提示模型在多尘环境中的阳性准确率。在ddPCR绝对定量实验中,将商业化流式检测设备的结果作为标准浓度,绘制了回归线。结果显示,回归线斜率为1.0005,截距为-0.025,决定系数达到了0.9997,二者结果高度一致。结论本文提出了一种基于Filter Faster R-CNN的ddPCR液滴检测技术,为在多种环境条件下的ddPCR实验提供了鲁棒的液滴检测方法。 展开更多

The sinusoid curve fit is widely applied in the evaluation of digitized measurement equipment, such as data acquisition system, digital storage oscilloscope, waveform recorder and A/D converter,etc. Because of the distortion and noise of sinusoid signal generator, the digitizing and the non linearity errors in measurement, it is impossible to avoid the distortion and the noise in sinusoid sampling series. The distortion and the noise limit the accuracy of curve fit results. Therefore, it is desirable to find a filter that can filter out both distortion and noise of the sinusoid sampling series, and in the meantime, the filter doesn′t influence the amplitude, the frequency, the phase and DC bias of fitting curve of the sine wave. And then, the uncertainty of fitting parameter can be reduced. This filter is designed and realized. This article deals with two important issues in digital filter implementation: roundoff noise and limit cycles. A novel class of robust state-space realizations, called normal realizations, is derived and characterized. It is seen that these realizations are free of limit cycles. Another interesting property of the normal realizations is that they yield a minimal error propagation gain. The optimal realization problem, defined as to find those normal realizations that minimize roundoff noise gain, is formulated and solved analytically. A design example is presented to demonstrate the behavior of the optimal normal realizations and to compare them with several well-known digital filter realizations in terms of minimizing the roundoff noise and the error propagation. 展开更多

A discrimination measurement method and demodulation technique for fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors were presented using digital filtering technique. The system can control a tunable fiber Fabry-Perot filter with sawtooth wave voltage generated by digital clock to interrogate FBG sensors. Using the analogue digital converter (ADC), the reflected FBG signals were sampled with synchronous digital clock. With the aid of digital matched filtering technique, the sampled FBG signals were processed to obtain the maximum signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and the Bragg wavelength shift from the FBG signals was recovered. The results demonstrate that this system has a scanning range of 1 520 nm-1 575 nm,and the wavelength detection accuracy is less than 2 pm with 1.5 Hz scanning frequency. 展开更多

CR–RCm filters are widely used in nuclear energy spectrum measurement systems. The choice of parameters of a CR–RCm digital filter directly affects its performance in terms of energy resolution and pulse count rate in digital nuclear spectrometer systems. A numerical recursive model of a CR differential circuit and RC integration circuit is derived, which shows that the shaping result of CR–RCm is determined by the adjustment parameter (k, it determines the shaping time of the shaper) and the integral number (m). Furthermore, the amplitude– frequency response of CR–RC^m is analyzed, which shows that it is a bandpass filter;the larger the shaping parameters (k and m), the narrower is the frequency band. CR–RC^m digital Gaussian shaping is performed on the actual sampled nuclear pulse signal under different shaping parameters. The energy spectrum of 137Cs is measured based on the LaBr3(Ce) detector under different parameters. The results show that the larger the shaping parameters (m and k), the closer the shaping result is to Gaussian shape, the wider is the shaped pulse, the higher is the energy resolution, and the lower is the pulse count rate. For the same batch of pulse signals, the energy resolution is increased from 3.8 to 3.5%, and the full energy peak area is reduced from 7815 to 6503. Thus, the optimal shaping parameters are m -3 and k -0.95. These research results can provide a design reference for the development of digital nuclear spectrometer measurement systems. 展开更多

Initialization and initial imbalance problem were discussed in the context of a three-dimensional variational data assimilation system of the new generation"Weather Research and Forecasting Model". Several options of digital filter initialization have been tested with a rain storm case. It is shown that digital filter initialization, especially diabatic digital filter initialization and twice digital filter initialization, have effectively removed spurious high frequency noise from initial data for numerical weather prediction and produced balanced initial conditions. For six consecutive intermittent data assimilation cycles covering a 3-day period, mean initialization increments and impact on forecast variables are studied. DFI has been demonstrated to provide better adjustment of the hydrometeors and vertical velocity, reduced spin-up time, and improved forecast variables quantity. 展开更多

The main idea is to minimize the sum of the square errors between the amplitude response of the desired FIR filter and that of the designed by training the weights of neural networks, then obtains the impulse response of FIR digital filter . The convergence theorem of the neural networks algorithm is presented and proved, and the optimal design method is introduced by designing four kinds of FIR digital filters , i.e., low-pass, high-pass, bandpass , and band-stop FIR digital filter. The results of the amplitude responses show that attenuation in stop-bands is more than 60 dB with no ripple and pulse existing in pass-bands, and cutoff frequency of passband and stop-band is easily controlled precisely .The presented optimal design approach of high order FIR digital filter is significantly effective. 展开更多

These wave distortions influence the normal operation and life cycle of electronic products. To eliminate the harmful effects of interrupting signals on electronic products, in this paper, a digital filter algorithm based on morphological lifting scheme and median filter (MLS-MF), which will be used to filter various interrupting signals existing in the circuits in which electronic products are fitted, is proposed. A variety of interrupting sig- nals have been included in simulation studies, and simulation results have demonstrated the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed digital filter algorithm in high frequency continuous interference, random background noise and damped oscillatory transient interference filter. A new approach for the design of two-dimensional (2-D) linear phase FIR digital filters based on a new neural networks algorithm (NNA) is provided. A compact expression for the transfer function of a 2-D linear phase FIR filter is derived based on its frequency response characteristic, and the NNA, based on minimizing the square-error in the frequency-domain, is established according to the compact expression. To illustrate the stability of the NNA, the convergence theorem is presented and proved. Design examples are also given, and the results show that the ripple is considerably small in passband and stopband, and the NNA-based method is of powerful stability and requires quite little amount of computations. 展开更多

To solve the difficulty of designing digital impacting filter in the receiver of random-polar modulated Extended Binary Phase Shift Keying with Continuous Phase (CP-EBPSK), a design method based on Quantum-behaved Particle Swarm Optimization (QPSO) algorithm is proposed. Firstly, QPSO is introduced elaborately, and the basic flow of QPSO is also given. Then, the demodulation principle of digital impacting filter in the communication system of CP-EBPSK with random-polar is demonstrated, and QPSO is utilized to design the digital impacting filter, which also takes the effect of finite word length into consideration when implemented by hardware. Finally, the proposed method is simulated. Simulation results show that the digital impacting filter designed by new method can derive satisfied demodulation performance. 展开更多

This paper proposes a novel iterative algorithm for optimal design of non-frequency-selective Finite Impulse Response(FIR) digital filters based on the windowing method.Different from the traditional optimization concept of adjusting the window or the filter order in the windowing design of an FIR digital filter,the key idea of the algorithm is minimizing the approximation error by succes-sively modifying the design result through an iterative procedure under the condition of a fixed window length.In the iterative procedure,the known deviation of the designed frequency response in each iteration from the ideal frequency response is used as a reference for the next iteration.Because the approximation error can be specified variably,the algorithm is applicable for the design of FIR digital filters with different technical requirements in the frequency domain.A design example is employed to illustrate the efficiency of the algorithm. 展开更多

This paper presents efficient processing engines for software-defined radio (SDR) front-ends. These engines, based on a polyphase channelizer, perform arbitrary sample-rate changes, frequency selection, and bandwidth control. This paper presents an M-path polyphase filter bank based on a modified N-path polyphase filter. Such a system allows resampling by arbitrary ratios while performing baseband aliasing from center frequencies at Nyquist zones that are not multiples of the output sample rate. This resampling technique is based on sliding cyclic data load interacting with cyclic-shifted coefficients. A non-maximally-decimated polyphase filterbank (where the number of data loads is not equal to the number of M subfilters) processes M subfilters in a time period that is less than or greater than the M data loads. A polyphase filter bank with five different resampling modes is used as a case study for embedded resamp/ing in SDR front-ends. These modes are (i) maximally decimated, (ii) Under-decimated, (iii) over-decimated, and combined up- and down-sampling with (iv) single stride length, and (v) multiple stride lengths. These modes can be used to obtain any required rational sampling rate change in an SDR front-end based on a polyphase channelizer. They can also be used for translation to and from arbitrary center frequencies that are unrelated to the output sample rates. 展开更多

Microwave diffraction tomography is a process to infer the internal structure of an objectfrom multiple angle views of microwave diffraction shadow. Being sensitive to variations in refractive index of the object, the procedure can be used to measure permittivity distributions within dielectric objects and to image soft tissues for biomedical applications. The optimal resolution distance obtainable is half a wavelength, but this can rarely be achieved because of practical limitations. Some procedures, however, are available to improve the practical resolution. One, which is suitable for microwave tomography, is to use multiple angle views data and to combine the resulting images. The other, which is suitable for improving the image reconstruction resolution, is to use the digital filtering technique and the filtered backpropagation algorithm. A system operating over the X-band microwave frequency is described and some experimental results for objects in air are given. 展开更多

A binary tree representation is designed in this paper for optimization of wave digital filter(WDF)implementation.To achieve this,an equivalent WDF model of the original circuit is converted into abinary tree representation at first.This WDF binary tree can then be transformed to several topologies with the same implication,since the WDF adaptors have a symmetrical behavior on their ports.Because the WDF implementation is related to field programmable gate array(FPGA)resource usage and the cycle time of emulation,choosing aproper binary tree topology for WDF implementation can help balance the complexity and performance quality of an emulation system.Both WDF-FPGA emulation and HSpice simulation on the same circuit are tested.There is no significant difference between these two simulations.However,in terms of time consumption,the WDF-FPGA emulation has an advantage over the other.Our experiment also demonstrates that the optimized WDF-FPGA emulation has an acceptable accuracy and feasibility. 展开更多
