The predesigned intensity pattern was imprinted onto the DMD and the input laser beam with a Gaussian or quasi-Gaussian distribution will carry the pattern on DMD to etch the resin. It provides a method of precise control of laser beam shapes and?photon-induced curing behavior of resin. This technology provides an accurate micro-fabrication of microstructures used for micro-systems. As a virtual mask generator and a binary-amplitude spatial light modulator, DMD is equivalent to the masks in the conventional exposure system. As the virtual masks and shaped laser beam can be achieved flexibly, it is a good method of precision soft lithography for 2D/3D microstructures.展开更多

The infrared scene simulation is explored by using the digital grayscale modulation method. The infrared image modulation model of a digital micro-mirror device (DMD) is established and then the infrared scene simulator prototype which is based on DMD grayscale modulation is developed. To evaluate its main parameters such as resolution, contrast, minimum temperature difference, gray scale, various DMD subsystems such as signal decoding, image normalization, synchronization drive, pulse width modulation (PWM) and DMD chips are designed. The infrared scene simulator is tested on a certain infrared missile seeker. The test results show preliminarily that the infrared scene simulator has high gray scale, small geometrical distortion and highly resolvable imaging resolution and contrast and yields high-fidelity images, thus being able to meet the requirements for the infrared scene simulation inside a laboratory.展开更多

However, whether the parent-child activities and using digital devices were serial mediators of the relationship between children’s health and social development needs further verification. Purpose: This study explored how parent-child activities and children’s use of digital devices influence the relationship between children’s health and their social competence. Method: This study used data from Kids in Taiwan: National Longitudinal Study of Child Development and Care. A total sample of 2164 participants was used in this study. Serial mediation analyses were performed using model six of Hayes’ PROCESS (2012). Results: This study found that parent-child activities and the use of digital devices can serially mediate the relationship between children’s health and social competence. Children’s health could directly improve their social competence, but it could also serially mediate social competence by increasing parent-child activities and reducing the use of digital devices. Conclusion: Childcare policy planners and parenting educators should not only call on parents to reduce the use of electronic products for their children, but also encourage parents to spend more time interacting with their children, so that children can learn social skills by interacting with others in their daily lives.展开更多

On the basis of CS theory, the simulation results indicate that the probability of reconstruction is high when the step of the sparsity adaptive matching pursuit algorithm is confirmed as 1. Contrastive analysis for four kinds of commonly used measurement matrices: part Hadamard, Bernoulli, Toeplitz and Circular matrix, has been conducted. The results illustrate that the part Hadamard matrix has better performance of reconstruction than the other matrices. The experimental system of the spectral compression reconstruction is mainly based on the digital micro-mirror device(DMD). The experimental results prove that CS can reconstruct sparse spectrum well under the condition of 50% sampling rate. The system error 0.0781 is obtained, which is defined by the average value of the 2-norm. Furthermore, the proposed method shows a dominant ability to discard redundancy.展开更多

It is difficult, however, to model the composed color with the multiple inks when the number of the output ink hues exceeds three due to the none-unique mapping between the color spaces of the CIE Lab and the multi-color printing device. In this paper, we propose a fine color-printing method for multi-color printing device with the ink set of more than three hues. The proposed approach has good color expression ability and provides fine control of the printed color. By dividing the output color space into several subspaces, our method allows one-to-one mapping between the standard color space and the multi-color output color space. It has been proved effective when applied to the digital inkjet printer—Mutoh8000.展开更多

This evolution implies innovation in many areas of technology, the heart of which is microelectronics. Connected objects involve many technological components and functions that are directly dependent of the microelectronics capabilities. If the perspectives are exciting, several challenges are appearing. The first is related to the energy consumption of all these objects, which will become enormous by 2030, and unrealistic by 2040. The second is human resources concern. The future engineers and PhD will have many obstacles to overcome. A way to face these challenges is to involve more and more new thin film technologies that must be combined with VLSI ones, and to better train students to this domain with enough know-how and with a large spectrum of knowledge suitable for multidisciplinary applications. The French national network for Higher Education in microelectronics has adopted this strategy. After presentation of the challenges, this paper deals with the innovative activities of the French network focused on thin film technologies, in order to face the challenges in a short future.展开更多

Fault waveform regenerator mainly depends on its power amplifiers (PAs) to regenerate the fault waveforms recorded by digital fault recorder (DFR). To counteract the PA’s inherent nonlinear distortions, a digital closed-loop modification technique that is different from the predistortion technique is conceived. And the experimental results verify the effectiveness of the fault waveform regenerator based on the digital closed-loop modification technique.展开更多

It has been proved effective when applied to the digital inkjet printer—Mutoh8000.

文摘To reduce the charge-coupled device(CCD)readout noise and improve the detection ability under low illumination and dim targets,a new low-noise CCD signal processing technology-CCD digital denoiseis gradually being employed in aerospace detection and other fields. In this study, the main readout noise of CCD detectors and its characteristics are analyzed.A CCD digital denoise system and an experimental platform are designed as well as established by using a PCIe data acquisition card.According to the characteristics of readout noise, some digital filters are analyzed and designed based on distributed kernel coefficient, and the optimal kernel coefficients are obtained through iteration. Then,CCD signal and filter model are established, and the optimal filter is designed to apply to the digital denoise system. Finally, according to the image data obtained from the system, the performance of the digital denoise system and digital filtering algorithm is evaluated and compared. At 500 kHz and 1 MHz CCD readout rates, the denoising performance of the optimal filter designed in the experiment is 16%-32%higher than that of the digital filter with kernel distribution coefficient, and 50%-60%higher than that of the traditional correlated double sampling technology.
文摘The new digital society is based on Internet of Things (IoT) and related connected objects are becoming more prevalent around the world. After presentation of the challenges, this paper deals with the innovative activities of the French network focused on thin film technologies, in order to face the challenges in a short future.
文摘In order to provide a novel and more effective alternative to the commonly used relay protection testing device that outputs only the sinusoidal testing signals, the concept of fault waveform regenerator is proposed in this paper, together with its hardware structure and software flow chart. And the experimental results verify the effectiveness of the fault waveform regenerator based on the digital closed-loop modification technique.
文摘The impacts of the current digital era are growing more and more on the way in which higher education(HE)offers learning programs at every level.Smart learning(SL)represents the evolution of educational approaches and techniques that capitalizes on all the opportunities deriving from new digital ecosystems. This study argues that the usefulness of HE can benefit from rethinking the traditional active learning(AL)model to smart ones. Thus, this research aims at investigating how to adapt the performance evaluation when the operations of HE turn to digitalized models. Therefore, this paper designs a research approach that allows accounting for the effects that the adoption of some SL strategies and tools has on the engagement of students and the aggregate performance of HE programs that adopt AL.The results of this study would help academics and HE managers assess the effectiveness of SL initiatives they plan to adopt.

文摘Research is currently ongoing to investigate the use of assistive technology by people with mild dementia to support independent living at home. The aim of this study was to describe professional caregivers’ perceptions on the prerequisites for and consequences of people with mild dementia using a digital photo diary to facilitate their talks about daily events with their family members. A questionnaire was sent out to 582 participants (response rate 70.1%) to elucidate the professional caregivers’ perceptions on the use of the digital photo diary. The questionnaire contained both quantitative and qualitative data and was analyzed with descriptive statistics, factor analysis, multivariate analysis of covariance and qualitative content analysis. This study reports the results related to prerequisites and consequences of using the photo diary. The results from the factor analysis revealed four factors: Trust, Vulnerability, Dependency/Independency and Control. The qualitative content analysis resulted in five categories: Immediate implementation after receiving a diagnose is required, Relatives’ participation is a necessity, Strengthened self-esteem and meaningful everyday life, Increased alienation and a feeling of isolation and Assistive digital devices provide opportunities. The theme was interpreted as: Personalization and the preservation of dignity. The conclusion that can be drawn from this study is that the participants had an overall positive view of the usage of this specific digital photo diary for people suffering from dementia, but rigorous considerations needs before implementation of the device and regularly follow ups if dignity is to be maintained for people with dementia.
