Based on the analysis of "Sugu Spirit",totem worship,color worship,Dongba character and Dongba painting which are five factors of Dongba culture,the paper has explored its cultural factors suitable for lands...Based on the analysis of "Sugu Spirit",totem worship,color worship,Dongba character and Dongba painting which are five factors of Dongba culture,the paper has explored its cultural factors suitable for landscape manifestation.By combining with the internal cultural concept and external creation form of Dongba culture,its potential cultural value has been integrated into landscaping and some enlightenments have been proposed for landscape design.It considers that "Sugu Spirit" advocates each landscape factor coordinating and coexisting with each other;relevant factors of totem worship can be applied in landscaping,showing unique ingenuity;color concept can guide landscape to highlight its theme in color collocation;stories and legends in Dongba culture and its deep cultural connotation have enriched landscape design factors,adding distinctive landscape effect.展开更多
Naxi Dongba hieroglyphs of China are the only living hieroglyphs world widely which still in use.There are thousands of manuscripts written in Dongba hieroglyphs scattering in different counties for history reason.For...Naxi Dongba hieroglyphs of China are the only living hieroglyphs world widely which still in use.There are thousands of manuscripts written in Dongba hieroglyphs scattering in different counties for history reason.For culture protection and inheritance,those manuscripts are in urgent need to be recognized and organized quickly.This paper focuses on the recognition of Naxi Dongba hieroglyphs by using coarse grid method to extract features and using support vector machine to classify.The designed Experiment shows that the method performs better than the commonly used clustering method in recognition accuracy in recognition of Naxi Dongba hieroglyphs.This method also provides some experience for recognition of other hieroglyphs.展开更多
Many traditional ethnic cultural items are being endangered in China.Using the Dongba dance culture of the Naxi people as a case study,this paper seeks to analyze and interpret the endangerment of culture from an educ...Many traditional ethnic cultural items are being endangered in China.Using the Dongba dance culture of the Naxi people as a case study,this paper seeks to analyze and interpret the endangerment of culture from an educational perspective,based on an analysis of the interaction between the cultural transmission mechanism of Dongba dance and the formal schooling of the Naxi people in Lijiang,China.By describing and comparing the traditional and current forms of Dongba dance transmission,the paper shows how the institution of formal education competes with older modes of cultural transmission,resulting in the endangerment of Dongba dance as a living cultural relic.So,in order to truly realize and improve the function of education in transmitting cultural heritage and to guarantee educational equity,we should prioritize sophisticated ethnic minority cultural items in the assessment and selection phases of education,grant them institutional cultural capital,and put greater effort into developing an appropriate school-based curriculum so that ethnic minority culture may be transmitted and inherited via formal schooling.展开更多
