First, the linear relationship between the basic frequency and the ultimate strength of the cantilever structure with axial load is determined using the dynamic eigenvalue equations of the structure. Then, the basic frequency, ω 2 1i , corresponding to the load, N i, can be calculated or measured, and the linear relationship of ω 2 1i ~N i is plotted using the data mentioned above. The axial force corresponding to ω 2 1i =0 is the required buckling strength of the oilfield derrick. The suggested method can evaluate the buckling strength of oilfield derricks combining nondestructive testing with calculating. It is a convenient and practical method to estimate the carrying capacity of any steel structure.展开更多

Their exclusion from the set of contingencies to be simulated in the security assessment would achieve a significant reduction in computation time. This paper defines a critical contingencies selection method for on-line dynamic security assessment. The selection method results from an off-line dynamical analysis, which covers typical scenarios and also covers various related aspects like frequency, voltage, and angle analyses among others. Indexes measured over these typical scenarios are used to train neural networks, capable of performing on-line estimation of a critical contingencies list according to the system state.展开更多

The existing approaches to dynamicrisk assessmentmainly aim at updating accident probabilities for specific risk scenarios, based on knowledge of system operation andfailure, aswell as on past accident and failure information. However, for innovative marine systems that include complex interactions, our ability to identify anything that might go wrong is very limited, which may lead to unidentified risks, and failure data may not beavailable. This paper presents the foundations of a framework for dynamic risk assessment, which is equally applicable to mannedand autonomous ships and mainly relies on information about the safe operational envelope and real-time information regardingdeviations from safety. Inspiration is drawn from how the biological immune system identifies the risk of infection in a dynamicenvironment. The objective is to show the feasibility and benefits of our approach for quantifying the operational risk of marinesystems. This paper provides the conceptual basis for developing ship specific applications and describes a process for dynamic riskassessment that is methodologically based on artificial immune systems. To demonstrate the implementation of our framework, wedescribed, an illustrative example that involves a ship in a grounding scenario. In the absence of any new drugs, renal replacement therapy (RRT) is the most important treatment option. Randomized controlled trials have concluded that in critically ill patients without an emergency indication for RRT, a watchful waiting strategy is safe;however, further delays in RRT did not seem to confer any benefit, rather was associated with potential harm. During this process, balancing the risks of complications due to an unnecessary intervention with the risk of not correcting a potentially life-threatening complication remains a challenge. Dynamic renal function assessment, especially dynamic assessment of renal demand-capacity matching, combined with renal biomarkers such as neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin and furosemide stress test, is helpful to identify which patients and when the patients may benefit from RRT.展开更多

The citrus temperature risk increases with increasing latitude (except for the western mountainous area of subtropics of China). The citrus precipitation risk in the central part of subtropics of China is higher than that in the northern and western parts. The distributions of citrus sunlight risk are not consistent to those of the citrus precipitation risk. The citrus climate risk is mainly influenced by temperature. There is latitudinal zonal law for the distribution of the climate risk, that is, the climate risk increases with increasing latitude At the same time the climate risk in mountainous area is high and that in eastern plain area is low. There are differences in the temporal and spatial changes of the citrus climate. In recent 46 years, the citrus climate risk presents a gradual increasing trend in subtropics of China, especially it has been increasing fast since the 1980s. Because of the global warming, the low risk region in the eastern and southern parts has a gradual decreasing trend, however, the high risk region in the northern and western parts has an increasing trend and the high risk region has been extending eastward and southward. The article analyses the distribution of the citrus climate risk degree of reduction rates of 〉10%, 〉20% and 〉30% in subtropics of China, and studies their changes in different time periods. Results show that the risk is increasing from southeast to northwest.展开更多

文摘Power systems transport an increasing amount of electricity, and in the future, involve more distributed renewables and dynamic interactions of the equipment. The system response to disturbances must be secure and predictable to avoid power blackouts. The system response can be simulated in the time domain. However, this dynamic security assessment(DSA)is not computationally tractable in real-time.Particularly promising is to train decision trees(DTs)from machine learning as interpretable classifiers to predict whether the systemwide responses to disturbances are secure. In most research, selecting the best DT model focuses on predictive accuracy. However,it is insufficient to focus solely on predictive accuracy.Missed alarms and false alarms have drastically different costs, and as security assessment is a critical task, interpretability is crucial for operators. In this work, the multiple objectives of interpretability, varying costs, and accuracies are considered for DT model selection. We propose a rigorous workflow to select the best classifier. In addition,we present two graphical approaches for visual inspection to illustrate the selection sensitivity to probability and impacts of disturbances. We propose cost curves to inspect selection combining all three objectives for the first time.Case studies on the IEEE 68 bus system and the French system show that the proposed approach allows for better DT-selections,with an 80%increase in interpretability,5%reduction in expected operating cost, while making almost zero accuracy compromises. The proposed approach scales well with larger systems and can be used for models beyond DTs.Hence, this work provides insights into criteria for model selection in a promising application for methods from artificial intelligence(AI).

文摘Based on the citrus temperature, precipitation, sunlight and climate risk degree, the article divides subtropics of China into three types: the low risk region, the moderate risk region and the high risk region. Results show that the risk is increasing from southeast to northwest.
文摘The scientific literature presents a modest amount ot evidence m the use or complementary ana al[erna- tire medicine (CAM). On the other hand, in practice, relevant results are common. The debates among CAM practitioners about the quality and execution of scientific research are important, Therefore, the aim of this review is to gather, synthesize and describe the differentiated methodological models that encompass the complexity of therapeutic interventions. The process of bringing evidence-based medicine into clinical practice in CAM is essential for the growth and strengthening of complementary medicines worldwide.
