It is observed that thetracking is more severe under the DC voltages. The tracking time is less under negative DC comparedto the positive DC voltage. The tracking mechanism is explained in detail. The leakage currentduring the tracking studies was as measured and the moving average technique was adopted tounderstand the trend in current flow. The leakage current magnitude is high with thermally agedspecimens compared to the virgin specimen, irrespective of the type of applied voltage. It isrealized that the tracking time and the leakage current magnitude shows an inverse relationship.展开更多
Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) of chronic total occlusion (CTO) represents the most technically challenging procedure in contemporary interventional cardiology.[1] Blunt lesions and presence of proximal side...Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) of chronic total occlusion (CTO) represents the most technically challenging procedure in contemporary interventional cardiology.[1] Blunt lesions and presence of proximal side branch are considered to be strong predictors of reduced technical success.[ 2,3] For such lesions, the antegrade approach may not be feasible or desirable, and the retrograde approach can be used as the initial crossing strategy. However, when treating the blunt CTO with a large side branch proximal to the occlusion, the side branch might be occluded after stent implantation if the retrograde guidewire passed the occluded segment through the subintimal space and re-entered into the true lumen at the opposite side of the side branch.[4] We reported a useful method to solve the above issue which utilizes intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) to guide “extended” reverse controlled antegrade and retrograde subintimal tracking (CART) technique with a cutting balloon.展开更多

Here a new smoothing particle filter algorithm is proposed,which combines the particle filter to tackle the non-linear and non-Gaussian peculiarities of theproblem, together with smoothing of the PDF of system modes and thus settles the estimate problem ofthe target maneuverability. A thunderstorm tracking algorithm is proposed to nowcast the possibility of lightning activity over an area of concern by using the total lightning data and neighborhood technique.The lightning radiation sources obser...A thunderstorm tracking algorithm is proposed to nowcast the possibility of lightning activity over an area of concern by using the total lightning data and neighborhood technique.The lightning radiation sources observed from the Beijing Lightning Network(BLNET)were used to obtain information about the thunderstorm cells,which are significantly valuable in real-time.The boundaries of thunderstorm cells were obtained through the neighborhood technique.After smoothing,these boundaries were used to track the movement of thunderstorms and then extrapolated to nowcast the lightning approaching in an area of concern.The algorithm can deliver creditable results prior to a thunderstorm arriving at the area of concern,with accuracies of 63%,80%,and 91%for lead times of 30,15,and 5 minutes,respectively.The real-time observations of total lightning appear to be significant for thunderstorm tracking and lightning nowcasting,as total lightning tracking could help to fill the observational gaps in radar reflectivity due to the attenuation by hills or other obstacles.The lightning data used in the algorithm performs well in tracking the active thunderstorm cells associated with lightning activities.展开更多
Rumors regarding epidemic diseases such as COVID 19,medicines and treatments,diagnostic methods and public emergencies can have harmful impacts on health and political,social and other aspects of people’s lives,espec...Rumors regarding epidemic diseases such as COVID 19,medicines and treatments,diagnostic methods and public emergencies can have harmful impacts on health and political,social and other aspects of people’s lives,especially during emergency situations and health crises.With huge amounts of content being posted to social media every second during these situations,it becomes very difficult to detect fake news(rumors)that poses threats to the stability and sustainability of the healthcare sector.A rumor is defined as a statement for which truthfulness has not been verified.During COVID 19,people found difficulty in obtaining the most truthful news easily because of the huge amount of unverified information on social media.Several methods have been applied for detecting rumors and tracking their sources for COVID 19-related information.However,very few studies have been conducted for this purpose for the Arabic language,which has unique characteristics.Therefore,this paper proposes a comprehensive approach which includes two phases:detection and tracking.In the detection phase of the study carried out,several standalone and ensemble machine learning methods were applied on the Arcov-19 dataset.A new detection model was used which combined two models:The Genetic Algorithm Based Support Vector Machine(that works on users’and tweets’features)and the stacking ensemble method(that works on tweets’texts).In the tracking phase,several similarity-based techniques were used to obtain the top 1%of similar tweets to a target tweet/post,which helped to find the source of the rumors.The experiments showed interesting results in terms of accuracy,precision,recall and F1-Score for rumor detection(the accuracy reached 92.63%),and showed interesting findings in the tracking phase,in terms of ROUGE L precision,recall and F1-Score for similarity techniques.展开更多
Unmanned vehicles are currently facing many difficulties and challenges in improving safety performance when running in complex urban road traffic environments,such as low intelligence and poor comfort perfor-mance in...Unmanned vehicles are currently facing many difficulties and challenges in improving safety performance when running in complex urban road traffic environments,such as low intelligence and poor comfort perfor-mance in the driving process.The real-time performance of vehicles and the comfort requirements of passengers in path planning and tracking control of unmanned vehicles have attracted more and more attentions.In this paper,in order to improve the real-time performance of the autonomous vehicle planning module and the comfort requirements of passengers that a local granular-based path planning method and tracking control based on multi-segment Bezier curve splicing and model predictive control theory are pro-posed.Especially,the maximum trajectory curvature satisfying ride comfort is regarded as an important constraint condition,and the corresponding curvature threshold is utilized to calculate the control points of Bezier curve.By using low-order interpolation curve splicing,the planning computation is reduced,and the real-time performance of planning is improved,com-pared with one-segment curve fitting method.Furthermore,the comfort performance of the planned path is reflected intuitively by the curvature information of the path.Finally,the effectiveness of the proposed control method is verified by the co-simulation platform built by MATLAB/Simulink and Carsim.The simulation results show that the path tracking effect of multi-segment Bezier curve fitting is better than that of high-order curve planning in terms of real-time performance and comfort.展开更多

This system contained six modules: video flow capture, pre-processing, movement detection, shadow removal, tracking, and object classification. The Gaussian mixture model was utilized to extract the moving object from an image sequence segmented by the mean-shift technique in the pre-processing module. Shadow removal was used to alleviate the negative impact of the shadow to the detected objects. A model-free method was adopted to identify pedestrians. The maximum and minimum integration methods were developed to integrate multiple cues into the mean-shift algorithm and the initial tracking iteration with the competent integrated probability distribution map for object tracking. A simple but effective algorithm was proposed to handle full occlusion cases. The system was tested using real traffic videos from different sites. The results of the test confirm that the system is reliable and has an overall accuracy of over 85%.展开更多

Based on the discussion about the demands to the engine-generator set in tracked vehicles, the detailed function of engine-generator and the control strategy are determined. The hardware and software of the control system are also developed and tested in a prototype vehicle. The experiment results show that the control system has good reliability and can satisfy the power requirements of vehicles under all operating conditions.展开更多
