This (CALL), gender has often been omitted as a variable in is a serious omission, given that gender is typically a significant predictor in other educational, psychological and linguistic researches. An understanding of them may help practitioners guide learners to take better control of their comprehension and learning processes. In this paper, the author reports the recent research and literature on gender differences in CALL from 3 aspects: gender and computer, gender and language learning, and gender and CALL. In the discussion part, the author expounds on the reasons why studies about gender differences in CALL tend to get conflicting results.展开更多
