Exploring the Path of Ecological Development Education in Higher Vocational Colleges

This paper mainly discussed the path of ecological development education in higher vocational colleges.The research progress of ecological development education in higher vocational colleges at home and abroad was analyzed.The theoretical framework and basic principles of ecological development education in higher vocational colleges were constructed,including the concept of ecological civilization,knowledge system and practical path,etc..It expounded the basic principles of ecological development education from 7 aspects:practicality,systematization,subjectivity,openness,dynamic,pluralism and scientific nature.This paper put forward suggestions for the evaluation and improvement of the ecological development education in higher vocational colleges,emphasizing the establishment of evaluation index system,empirical research and the establishment of long-term mechanism.Finally,suggestions were given to improve the education path of ecological development,such as strengthening practical education,building education system,promoting international development,strengthening industrial integration and using information technology.This paper systematically expounded the theoretical basis,practical path and improvement suggestions of ecological development education in higher vocational colleges,which provided the theoretical guidance and practical reference for promoting the reform and innovation of ecological development education in higher vocational colleges.

Exploration of the Integration of Positive Emotions and Flow Experience in STEAM Education

STEAM(science,technology,engineering,arts,and mathematics)education aims to cultivate innovative talents with multidimensional literacy through interdisciplinary integration and innovative practice.However,lack of student motivation has emerged as a key factor hindering its effectiveness.This study explores the integrated application of positive emotions and flow experience in STEAM education from the perspective of positive psychology.It systematically explains how these factors enhance learning motivation and promote knowledge internalization,proposing feasible pathways for instructional design,resource provision,environment creation,and team building.The study provides theoretical insights and practical guidance for transforming STEAM education in the new era.

Assessing and Improving the Quality of Undergraduates in Preschool Education Programs in China:The Course Experience

This study investigated the current status of course satisfaction among 416 undergraduate students majoring in preschool education from four universities in China.And it explored the predictive effects of five influencing factors(teacher instruction,course management,course setting,course environment,and course resources)on student satisfaction.Through SPSS data analysis,the findings revealed that:1.the mean value of course experience was M=3.861(out of 5);2.there were differences in the satisfaction of undergraduate students'course experience by different background variables;3.course,course resources,and loyalty had significant predictive power on undergraduate students'satisfaction with course experience;4.instructor instruction(TI)did not significantly predict students'satisfaction with course experience(SCES)(p>0.001);5.Faculty instruction(TI)in this study had the highest mean satisfaction score(M=4.191)and the mean satisfaction score was only(M=3.861).The results show that the current status of course satisfaction among Chinese preschool undergraduates is at an moderate level,and there is more space for improvement;although students'satisfaction with teacher instruction(TI)is high,effective teacher instruction does not have a substantial impact on the acquisition of SCES or general competencies,and this passive learning and teaching style leads to a lack of independent learning and active participation among Chinese preschool undergraduate students.

Landscape Design of Educational Research Base Based on Mine Ecological Restoration:Taking the Restoration of Datu Mine in Xinhe Village,Dadukou District as an Example

With the continuous development of the mining industry,the number of abandoned mines is increasing,which brings many impacts on the geology and ecological environment around the mines.It is urgent to attach great importance to the ecological management and environmental restoration of abandoned mines.The long-term traditional development path of rural areas,following the model of“pollution first,treatment later,”fails to meet the needs of sustainable development.The contradiction between mine economic development and ecological environment degradation is becoming increasingly prominent,which urgently needs to be solved.Under the guidance of the Party and the state,in order to implement the relevant policies of“green mountains and clear waters are gold and silver mountains,”we emphasize rural green development,and the transformation of rural green development path is imperative.This paper takes Datu Mine in Xinhe Village,Dadukou District,Chongqing as the research object,combines rural ecological development as the research basis,and innovatively integrates the“educational research”model,aiming to provide practical strategies for the sustainable development of rural landscapes in abandoned mines.

In the changing environment of rapid technological development,the country pays more attention to the field of education.In the process of daily education and teaching,it is also necessary to focus on the implementation of ecological aesthetic education for students and its integration into the teaching of other subjects.The major of environmental art design is a professional discipline that scientifically and rationally solves the coordinated development of man and nature at this stage.Establishing a close connection between the two is an important part of the education and teaching process of colleges and universities at this stage.Based on this,this article conducts an in-depth exploration and analysis of the teaching plan for integrating ecological aesthetic education into environmental art design teaching.Combining with the actual situation,abundant resources,etc.,this paper provides new development directions and concepts for the construction of ecological aesthetic education,and effectively improves the quality and efficiency of classroom teaching.

Reform of Practical Teaching of “Linux Operating System Fundamentals” Under the Background of Emerging Engineering Education

With the advancement of the construction of emerging engineering education,the reform of practical teaching has become an important task of higher engineering education.This article takes the course“Linux Operating System Fundamentals”as an example to explore practical teaching reform in the context of emerging engineering education.By analyzing the current situation and problems in course practical teaching,we proposed practical teaching reforms such as online experiments,practical content updates,project-based engineering practices,and diversified evaluation models,and designed corresponding implementation plans.Practice has proved that this reform can improve students’learning interest and engineering practical skills,and cultivate outstanding engineers with innovative spirit and practical skills.

Planning and Design of Zhengzhou Forest Park Based on Natural Ecological Experience

Through summarizing and analyzing planning objectives, landscape division and natural ecological experience planning of Zhengzhou Forest Park, the authors discussed the application of human-nature harmony in the planning, stressed citizens' needs for experiencing natural ecological environment, and tried to build Zhengzhou Forest Park with picturesque scenery, complete facilities, and harmonious human-nature coexistence.

Debating ecological justice:implications for critical environmental education

This article will briefly discuss the implications of recognition of ecological justice in relation to environmental education(EE) and education for sustainable development(ESD).It is argued that the present conception of environment taught through EE and ESD negates the subjectivity of non-human species and ignores the ethical imperatives of ecological justice.Evocating environmental ethics,major directions integrating ecological justice into EE and ESD are proposed.

Educational Experiences of Undergraduate Male Nursing Students: A Focus Group Study

Background: The educational experiences of undergraduate male nursing students in developing countries such as Jordan have yet to be fully investigated in the literature. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the educational experiences of Jordanian undergraduate male nursing students. Methods: A qualitative research design using inductive content analysis approach was used to explore educational experiences of undergraduate male nursing students at a prominent public university. Focus group interviews were used to obtain information of an interactive, conversational nature from male nursing students and to gain in-depth insight regarding their educational experiences. Twenty undergraduate male nursing participants representing the four academic levels of a nursing program were recruited. Four focus groups ranging between 4 - 6 students were used to gather data. Inductive content analysis was used. Results: Three themes emerged from this study: “nursing: a deliberate choice”, “nursing is wonderful yet challenging”, and “nursing is not for men”. Students articulated that they deliberately chose to study nursing and to enter this academic field. Participants indicated that studying nursing was a wonderful experience that was intertwined with several challenges. Students from different levels explicitly emphasized that they were challenged and bombarded with enduring negative stereotypes and negative societal views regarding males in nursing. Conclusions and Implications: Findings illustrated that educational experiences of undergraduate male nursing students varied between wonderful experiences upon deliberate entry into nursing programs to enduring negative stereotypes and views regarding male nurses. Nursing educators are expected to comprehend the educational experiences of their students, particularly male students, and provide counseling, role-modeling and support as needed. Additionally, nurse educators should encourage all students to manage gender related problems by emphasizing a nurse’s role identity without gender segregation or discrimination.

Mental Illness Education through Stories of Lived Experience: Validation Review of the DoNOHarm Framework

The lived experience of people with mental illness is a powerful way to promote mental health literacy and reduce the stigma associated with mental illness.However,there is little guidance on how to do this safely.Mental Illness Education ACT is an Australian organisation that since 1993 has supported volunteer educators to share their individual stories of lived experience to school and community groups.In 2011,they developed the DoNOHarm Framework to assist volunteers to be able to talk about their experiences in a way that is safe for them and for their audience,a gap that they recognised in thefield.This study reports a review of the Framework,considering the extent to which it is supported by the current literature and how it is being implemented and experienced by the volunteer educators.These research questions were addressed by a literature review and interviews with 14 volunteer educators and the staff that support them.The review of published literature over the past 10 years showed strong evidence for three of the six principles of the Framework:Context and Purpose,Recovery Emphasis,and Safe Talking.Although the principle of Respectful and Inclusive Language is widely promoted in the mental healthfield,no recent studies investigated the benefits of this approach.Similarly,there was no recent research into the two principles of Limits to Helping and Self Care.The interviews revealed strong support for the Frame-work among volunteers.It was seen to be effective to protect the safety of both presenter and audience,ensure the relevance of the presentation,give educators confidence in their message and delivery,convey a hopeful message,and make certain that presentations were engaging for the audience.Overall,this review shows that the DoNO-Harm Frameworkfills an important gap for mental health education,with a sound evidence base where there is published evidence available.

Teacher Education—Experiences and Challenges

Teacher education is fundamental to the attainment of the objectives of education of any nation.In Nigeria for example,research reports indicate that during the past 18 years,the quality of teachers produced from the Nigeria’s various teacher education institutions has dropped significantly.This paper examines the various teaching experiences acquired through training including new skills gained and challenges encountered in the current teacher education programme in Nigeria that have contributed to the decline in teacher quality and experiences.It was discovered that poor quality of candidates admitted,lack of interest to take teaching as career,poor funding,poor public image of the teacher,high incidence of examination malpractice among student-teachers,and lack of motivation and good incentives among teacher educators are some of the challenges on teacher education.The paper recommends that Government at all levels and all nations should increase funding of teacher education,high quality students should be admitted,and Government should initiate programmes that can enhance the status of the teaching profession etc.

Ecologicalization of Physics Education and Its Enlightenment to Physics Curriculum Reform

Physics education refers to an important part of middle school and university education all over the world.With the development of new curriculum reform,the ecology of physics education has been gradually applied.The ecologicalization of physical education refers to the flexible grasp of the knowledge we have learned in peacetime and the application of it to life.The main purpose of our study of physical knowledge is to use physical knowledge to explain various phenomena in life,and to use physical knowledge to analyze the causes of various problems,so as to find out the ways and measures to solve the problems.In the process of teaching we can give full play to students’subjective initiative,stimulate students’creative thinking,and improve students’comprehensive quality.

Sex education for adolescents:Indonesian nurse educators’experience as parents

Objectives:Sex education toward adolescent remains the most controversial subject due to the various thoughts and ideas of different values present in society.Nurse educators as parents must exemplify sex education to their children.The aim of this present study was to explore parents’experience,with nurse educators background to be exact,on how they convey sex education to their children.Methods:This study is a descriptive qualitative study,and the sample is recruited by using the purposive sampling technique.The qualified participants filled in the informed consent,provided demographic data,and were interviewed.Saturation data were obtained at the 6th interview in this study.The interview is transcribed to find themes and subthemes using conventional content analysis.Results:We derived 3 main themes:parents’approach,sex education topic,and children’s reaction.Parents’approach contained 4 subthemes,namely,gender match,parent-child closeness,media,and attitude.Sex education topic included 5 subthemes of bodily autonomy,health and safety,reproductive anatomy,puberty-related changes,and how to maintain healthiness.Children’s reaction experiences also included 4 subthemes of uncomfortable,questioning,acknowledging,and laughing.Conclusions:As a matter of fact,some parents in eastern countries,such as Indonesia,conveyed sex education to their children.Children might have various reactions to that topic,but it is important to keep them safe,especially in reproductive health,regardless of the culture or tradition.Based on nurse educators as exemplifiers,nurses and nursing students might acquire the picture in conveying sex education to adolescents.

Building up the concept of green development by infiltrating ecological ethics into ideological education for university students

University student education is the main part of higher education in China. Therefore, the comprehensive quality of university students shows the level of higher education. Ecological literacy is the basic literacy of college students under the background of green development to build socialism with Chinese characteristics. The green development education is based on the research idea of the relationship between the individual and the surrounding environment in ecology, which requires respecting the subjectivity of the active object, paying attention to the integrity and connection of the object. Compared with the traditional education, green development education pays more attention to the cultivation of moral quality and sound personality of the educated, and it can make the students understand the ecological environment. Under the premise of ecological system and the mechanism of biological growth and development, respect and love of life are formed naturally, and then the universal concern for environment and others is formed. College students, as advanced groups of young people, are leading the social fashion and influencing the social ethical environment. Ecological literacy is the new requirement of the times for college students. We should integrate the education of green development into the ideological education,make great efforts to shape the ecological ethical system of college students, and cultivate their ecological consciousness, ecological thinking and behavior habits. It is an important issue for ideological education to improve the quality of green development in an all-round way.

The Experience and Enlightenment of Anti-corruption for Public Integrity Education of CPC

Anti-corruption for public integrity education(ACPI Education) is a fundamental solution to combat corruption with the aim of cultivating an environment that nurtures moral awareness and integrity while guarding against corruption. Since the founding of the CPC, ACPI Education has been a priority and great experience has been accumulated. The CPC has actively adapted to changes in the times and continuously innovated anti-corruption education. Major achievements both in theory and practice have advanced the development of public integrity through anticorruption education in China and provided inspiration for the world.

Architectural Educational Experience in Kansei

Since the earliest Kansei works saw the light more than 30 years ago, the Kansei has boomed exponentially. Because of many and various achieved business successes by different working groups as well as the methodology geographical dispersion throughout the world. Multi-faceted Kansei has been developed for the last 20 years in a very wide and varied way. The Kansei has experienced as if talking of a tree, a branching experience still going on nowadays. Today we can speak from Kansei in theory, Kansei emotion measurement, Kansei engineering, Kansei information, Kansei education, Kansei design to Kansei in practice and many other disciplines. Three years ago, our team started the experience to introduce Kansei in the educational atmosphere, applying it to the final degree projects. In the School of Building Engineering at the Universitat Polit^cnica de Valencia and inside its final degree project proposal, a workshop on Kansei engineering was offered. During these years at the eighth semester of the building engineer degree, students have been working for almost five months under the supervision of a team of teachers on their final project till the final public oral defense was made in front of a committee. During these years, we have worked with an average of 10 students per year. Some have successfully completed their final projects, others have not achieved the minimum required. The article aims to explain the experience during the last three years the team has accumulated in Kansei education, and can be of interest for every teacher or lecturer.

Design of Cultural Experience Space From the Perspective of Ecological Aesthetics:A Case Study of Aixi Lake Beauty·Library

Ecological aesthetics is the organic combination of ecology and aesthetics.It is the mainstream and basic form of aesthetics to integrate the ecological concepts of balance,system and entirety into the study of aesthetics.Cultural experience space is a new reading space with the characteristics of public cultural services.In this paper,Aixi Lake Beauty·Library is taken as research object,to analyze its design connotation and public effect from the perspective of ecological aesthetics.The research aims to explore a feasible way for the construction of urban cultural experience space.

Lived Music Multi-dimensional Musical Experience： Implications for Music Education

Within the field of music education, there is a need of approaching the holistic view of musical experience from different angles. Therefore, the aim of this article is to investigate the phenomenon of multi-dimensional musical experience from a life-world-phenomenological perspective and indicate its benefits to music education. The analysis is informed by Dufrenne＇s philosophical writings regarding the phenomenology of aesthetic experience and also draws on Merleau-Ponty, Heidegger, interpreted by Benson and Ford, together with Schutz. These philosophers provide tools for understanding musical experience from a bodily, existential, and sociological perspective, and their complementary ideas about being and learning can be applied to musical experience in the first case and secondly its influences for music educational praxis. Firstly, the concept of lived music is defined through a discussion of dimensions of musical experience; the phenomenology of aesthetic experience; the use of several senses; the heard and the hear-able; apperception; and musical dwelling. Then, the sharing of experience in musical dwelling and its relevance to the concept of imagination is highlighted. I will also emphasize the importance of the view of human beings as holistic bodily subjects. Finally, the article includes a discussion regarding the implications of a life-world-phenomenological view of musical experience to music education.
