How does the construction of China’s ecological civilization affect the health burden of urban and rural residents?

Accelerating the construction of ecological civilization and promoting the management of health environment problems is one of the core elements of the implementation of the“Beautiful China”and“Healthy China”strategies with Chinese characteristics in the new era.Based on the scientific connotation of ecological civilization,this paper systematically assesses the level of interprovincial ecological civilization construction in China using the combined CRITIC empowerment method and explores the impact of ecological civilization construction on the health burden of urban and rural residents using interprovincial panel data from 2003 to 2018 with the help of panel feasible generalized least squares,simultaneous equation estimation,and the extended regression model.It is found that there is a significant inverted U-shaped relationship between provincial ecological civilization construction and urban and rural residents’economic health burden,as well as a significant U-shaped relationship between ecological civilization construction and urban and rural residents’disease burden.Fiscal decentralization,urbanization,and industrialization are the three important indirect mechanisms through which ecological civilization affects the health burden of urban and rural residents,and fiscal decentralization plays a typical role in crowding out the health effect of ecological civilization.In the eastern and central regions,ecological civilization construction has effectively reduced the health burden of urban and rural residents,but it is more significant for improving the economic health burden of rural residents.While the“catching-up trend”of the progress of ecological civilization construction in the western region is obvious,ecological civilization plays an important role in alleviating the economic health burden of urban residents.After the robustness test,the conclusion still holds.This study provides an important empirical basis for local governments to improve the accuracy of their policies in promoting the“Beautiful China”and“Healthy China”strategies.

Construction of“Beautiful Village”Landscapes from the Perspective of Ecological Civilization: A Case Study of Zizhulin Village in Yanshan County

Based on the interpretation of the connotation of ecological civilization and rural landscape, and takes Zizhulin village in Yanshan County as study object, this paper discusses the landscape pattern of Zizhulin Village relying on the national 4 A level scenic spot, and demonstrates the feasibility of its construction of natural ecological landscape and local cultural landscape, so as to provide reference for the construction of the "beautiful village" landscape with good ecological environment in other parts of China.

Chinese Solution for the Construction of An Ecological Civilization and Its World Significance

For the construction of an ecological civilization, the socialist system with Chinese characteristics provides a reliable institutional guarantee, its theory of an ecological civilization offers ideological guidance, and the dominant role of governments furnishes a powerful driver. An analysis on ecological civilization construction in Gansu based on a quantified SWOT framework

Ecological civilization （EC） construction has become one of the key elements of China＇s reform and development process, since it was put forward at the 17th National People＇s Congress （NPC） in 2007 and improved at the 18th NPC in 2012, and stressed at the third plenary session of the 18th NPC. The provincial areas are the most important pilot units of EC strategy. Therefore, research on EC at the provincial level can meet the practical demand for EC in China. Based on the existing provincial circumstances in Gansu and its significant position as an ecological barrier in northwestern China, and aiming at the core issue of why and how to build EC in Gansu, this paper employs SWOT （strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats） analysis, the Delphi method, and a combined quantitative analysis and coordinate method, and then calculates the relevant strategic orientation angle （0 = 1.4605） and strength coefficient （p = 0.53）. The results show that Gansu should take an opportunities-dominated strategy, and choose opportunity-strength measures, so the province can increase its in- ternal strengths and decrease its weaknesses with external promote an EC construction strategy. opportunities. Marine Ecological Civilization Construction Based on Marine Ecological Culture

Marine ecological civilization is an important part of the socialist ecological civilization, and marine ecological civilization construction is the fundamental way to realize the sustainable development of coastal economy and society. In this paper, from the perspective of marine ecological culture, the important significance of building marine ecological civilization was ex- plored, and the problems existing in marine ecological civilization construction were analyzed from four aspects of management system, marine in- dustry, ecological action and marine culture. According to the problems, a series of measures to build marine ecological civilization were put for- ward, such as improving marine management system, optimizing marine industrial structure, strengthening infrastructure construction in coastal are- as, and speeding up the development of marine cultural creative industries.

Analysis on diff icult situations and strategies of constructing ecological civilization of enterprises

In recent years, China has launched active exploration and practices in the aspects of the construction of ecological civilization and has made remarkable achievements. In this process, enterprises have played an important role in optimizing the economic growth, promoting energy-saving and emissionreduction, and spreading ecological culture. The paper analyzes the present situation and existing problems of current construction of ecological civilization of enterprises in China. On the basis of current situation of the construction of ecological civilization of enterprises in Beijing and in line with the industrial standard of CRISP-DM, the paper utilizes decision tree algorithm and researches the key elements which infl uence the enterprises' willingness of the construction of ecological civilization. The research result shows that there are three key elements which infl uence the enterprises' willingness of the construction of ecological civilization: enterprises' average sales of the past three years, the categories of enterprises and enterprises' principals' cognition on the responsibility of the construction of ecological civilization; other two variables have no infl uence on the willingness: the ration of research and construction staff in enterprises and that whether enterprises are high-tech ones. Therefore, it is necessary that governments should take the lead to establish strong conception of ecological civilization among citizens, carry out vigorously the publicity and education of the construction of ecological civilization, enhance the cognition levels of enterprises' principals and reduce the costs of the construction of ecological civilization.

Integrating ecological civilization concept into the environmental legal institution

Integrating the ecological civilization concept into many aspects such as environmental legislation and judicial enforcement is an important measure of constructing ecological civilization. It has three aspects. In the aspect of the legislation, we should take the ecological civilization concept into the environmental legislation in order to construct perfect environmental legislation institution, to strengthen the coordination of environmental legislation related regulations, and then to improve the operability of the environmental legislation. In the aspect of the environmental judice, we must strength the construction of environmental legal institution, promote establishing environmental courts, strength the judicial personnel construction and improve the level of environmental justice. In the aspect of the enforcement of the law, we must establish environmental management institution immediately, i.e., to establish environmental administrative law enforcement questioning mode, and to strength cooperation between environmental law enforcement and enhance their law enforcement responsibility.

Dynamic Comparison and Trend analysis of Southeast Guizhou's Experimental Area of Eco-civilization Construction and the National Eco-efficiency

In order to better understand the development level of eco-efficiency in Southeast Guizhou's experimental area of eco-civilization construction,we conduct dynamic comparison research of its eco-efficiency and the national eco-efficiency,using single ratio method based on the ecological footprint model,to grasp the gap between its eco-efficiency and the national eco-efficiency,so that we can take appropriate countermeasures to improve eco-efficiency. The results show that in the period 1978-2010,the eco-efficiency in Southeast Guizhou's experimental area of eco-civilization construction was always lower than the national eco-efficiency; the long-time average annual value of its eco-efficiency was less than one half of that of the national eco-efficiency,with the absolute gap of 1 630. 095 yuan /hm 2 ,and the gap tended to widen year by year in the period 1978-2002 ( the gap increased from 276. 551 yuan /hm 2 in 1978 to peak of 3 227. 713 yuan /hm 2 in 2002,with an average annual increase of 118. 047 yuan /hm 2 ,and especially after 1992,the gap was particularly evident,with an average annual increase of 194.771 yuan/hm 2 ) ,but from 2003,the gap between the two tended to decrease. Based on the prediction results of grey system,in the period 2011-2025,the gap between the eco-efficiency in Southeast Guizhou's experimental area of eco-civilization construction and the national eco-efficiency will gradually narrow,and from 2019, the eco-efficiency in Southeast Guizhou's experimental area of eco-civilization construction will be higher than the national eco-efficiency.

Evaluation of Mountain Land Ecological Security Based on DPSIR Model and Entropy Weight Method

In the Report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,it stated that we must put the ecological safety and green development in the first place.To achieve rural revitalization,ecological livability is the most important factor.Taking Luquan Yi and Miao Autonomous County(national level poor county)in Jinsha River valley of Yunnan Province as an example,using DPSIR(drivers,pressures,states,impacts,responses)model,this paper established an evaluation indicator system.Besides,using the entropy method,it determined the indicator weight.In addition,it evaluated the land ecological security of Luquan County since the implementation of targeted poverty alleviation policy(2013-2017)using multi-factor comprehensive evaluation method.This study shows that Luquan County has improved its ecological security in the past five years.The ecological status has gone through four stages,from sensitive state to severe state to critical safety to excellent ecology,and the value of the comprehensive index of land ecological security shows a rising trend.Through analyzing the ecological security value of each criterion hierarchy,it obtained the main factors affecting the ecological security of Luquan County.On this basis,it came up with feasible measures and recommendations for studying the ecological security of land in the region,so as to guide the rational use of land and sustainable economic development,provide a reference for the implementation of rural revitalization strategies,and promote the construction of regional ecological civilization.

Characteristics and Trends of Urban Waterfront Human Settlements Based on CiteSpace

Urban waterfront human settlements have gradually become a hot topic for research in recent years.Using CiteSpace,597 publications from 2017 to 2023 that were retrieved from the Web of Science were analyzed and sorted out,and the following characteristics were found:(1)The research hotspots transitioned from thermal comfort evaluation to the functional mechanism of water bodies,and then to the impact on the environment and residents’behavior.(2)The integration of disciplines has promoted the diversification of perspectives on urban waterfront human settlements,and the content has become more concentrated in interdisciplinary fields.Research on corresponding technology and methods of urban waterfront human settlement has improved,and so has the extensiveness of the experiments.(3)The research on urban waterfront human settlement from the perspective of ecology has been improving.The research focuses more on the harmonious coexistence of ecological and cultural values and human beings.

Ecological conservation, remediation and construction for building an ecological civilization in China: concepts for ecological activity

This paper explains and discusses the concepts of ecological conservation and construction in China in three parts. The first part provides a brief description of the historical background of ecological activities in China and their major achievements in the past. The second part is a comprehensive review of various types of ecological control activity aimed at the improvement of natural and artificially established ecosystems at the landscape,regional(watershed) and higher levels. The scope of and differences between some ecological terms used in China such as ecological protection, conservation, remediation(rehabilitation), restoration as well as the reestablishment of new ecosystems are elaborated. The review suggests that the term "ecological conservation and construction"should be used to embrace all types of ecological control activity in China. Finally, five guidelines are proposed for promoting the implementation of ecological conservation and construction in China based on the two important governmental documents related to the development of ecological civilization in China.

Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization views mountains,rivers,forests,farmlands,lakes,grasslands,deserts,and glaciers as an inseparable ecosystem and communities of life which should be put under integrated protection and systematic management to ensure ecological civilization in all dimensions,all regions,and at all times.By“all dimensions,”it refers to the systematic management of all the elements of ecological civilization.By“all regions,”it means the systematic management of the entire spatial elements of ecological civilization.By“all times,”it calls for the systematic management of all the components of the temporal structure of ecological civilization.Together,it refers to ecological civilization through systems engineering.This is an innovative application and advancement of materialist dialectics’systematic methodology in ecological civilization,and a significant contribution of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization to materialist dialectics.

长江经济带生态文明建设水平变化特征与影响因素分析

长江经济带生态文明建设水平的高低关系到长江流域绿色协调发展能力,深刻影响我国生态安全格局。从生态经济、生态环境、生态社会3个层面构建评价指标体系,使用改进TOPSIS方法模型测算长江经济带生态文明建设水平,利用地理加权回归模型(GWR)分析其影响因子。研究结果表明:(1)在2011—2020年,长江经济带生态文明建设水平整体上呈上升趋势,由东向西沿轴线逐步扩散。(2)各子系统建设水平异质性特征显著,生态经济建设水平东部高于西部,以长江下游地区和省会城市为核心向周围辐射发展;生态环境水平在各省会及其周边城市增长较快,而工业发展型城市有不同程度的降低。生态社会水平高值区集中分布在江浙沪地区,低值区分散分布于中上游各省会城市。(3)地形、常住人口城镇化水平、第三产业占比、恩格尔系数、科技财政支出占比均正向影响了研究区生态文明建设水平,每万人在校大学生数对生态文明建设水平呈弱负相关。
