Systematic Review and Meta-analysis are techniques which attempt to associate the findings from similar studies and deliver quantitative summaries of the research literature [1]. The Systematic review of research literature identifies the common research methods, research design, sample size, parameters used, survey instruments, etc. used by the group of researchers. This study intends to fulfill this purpose in order to identify common research mythologies, dependent variables, sample sizes, moderators and mediators used in the field of analysing technology adoption based studies that utilizes the UTAUT2 model. This research collected over 59 published articles and conducted descriptive analytics. The results have revealed performance expectancy/perceived usefulness, trust and habit as the best predictors of consumer behavioural intentions towards the adoption of mobile application. Behavioural intention was the best predictor of use behaviour among the 57 articles selected. 274 was the mean sample size of research with 25 mean questionnaire items. SPSS and AMOS were the most common softwares used in all 57 studies, and 32 of those studies used UTAUT1 model while 14 researches incorporated the UTAUT2 model. There were also two promising predictors such as perceived risk on behavioural intention and habit on use behaviour. 展开更多

The onset of the Covid 19 pandemic brought a test for the preparedness of the Zambian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in harnessing technology for pedagogical activities. As countries worldwide switched to electronic learning during the pandemic, the same could not be said for Zambian HEIs. Zambian HEIs struggled to conduct pedagogical activities on learning management platforms. This study investigated the factors affecting the implementation and assessment of learning Management systems in Zambia’s HEIs. With its focus on assessing: 1) system features, 2) compliance with regulatory standards, 3) quality of service and 4) technology acceptance as the four key assessment areas of an LMS, this article proposed a model for assessing learning management systems in Zambian HEIs. Objective: Verify if the educational technology based on Just in Time Education is relevant to Permanent Health Education in Workers’ Health. Method: This study is exploratory and descriptive qualitative research. Were performed semi-structured interviews were carried out with the worker’s health team of a large company from the South of Brazil region. The collected data were carried out in 2021, between January and May, through the virtual environment, with eight participants from the Work Health Team of Eletrosul, located in Florianópolis, who agreed to participate in the research by signing the Free and Informed Consent Term, in accordance with the data saturation criterion. The research was approved by the Ethics Committee (n. 4079133) and the data were submitted to Bardin for thematic content analysis. Result: The results are presented from three categories: 1) Expansion and inclusion in Permanent Education needs;2) Tools adopted in educational processes;3) Just in Time Education: educational technology for workers’ health. Conclusion: The active methodology Just in Time Education helps the processes of Permanent Education in Health, which moved from a face-to-face model to e-learning and required the knowledge renewal in the technology area to maintain efficient communication. This methodology allows quick and accurate access to information from a reliable, adequate, and up-to-date source, causing a positive impact on the qualified and problem-solving work process, in line with the needs of the employer and the company. Therefore, Just in Time Education can provide standardization, organization, and informational and operational quality necessary in this context, in addition to serving as an indicator and data generator (management tool). 展开更多

Mammary health is issue faced by public health nurses and the science follows new ways into this thematic area of learning course wares. The purpose of this study was to construct and to validate a distance course for mammary health promotion for nurses. Methodological proposal has been composed of five stages: 1) analysis and planning, 2) modeling, 3) implementation, 4) evaluation and maintenance and 5) distribution. A total of nine experts as research population were consulted who were expert judges of nursing, pedagogy and web designer, three of each specific area, which were included in the study. The variables that had concordance index of 50% were: graphic designer pages favors learning, the user has easy navigation, the learning of the student experience, the environment provides interdisciplinary, content is built on process rather than there is a unique sequence, allows access to the available environment and holds a discussion on the subject. The distance learning course is intended to broaden and to enrich the living spaces and construct their own knowledge, favors interactivity, communication, autonomy and cooperation between the participants and provides access to educational technologies. 展开更多

Purpose This study aimed to explore how educational technology influenced a preparatory teacher education program using heteroglossic and global approaches.Design/Approach/Methods The researchers drew upon the theoretical framework of multilingual digital storytelling(MDST),which emphasizes the intercultural awareness attributes of multilingual learners(MLs)and takes a heteroglossic perspective in linguistic pedagogy.This qualitative case study examined the experiences of 11 U.S.-based preservice teachers(PSTs)and 12 MLs elementary students in Korea in the MDST project of a TESOL methods course.Findings The findings showed that PSTs and MLs enhanced their appreciation for educational technology,multilingualism,and intercultural awareness.Although the project aimed to decenter English as a hegemonic language,both PSTs and MLs maintained traditional discourses that privileged English over MLs’home language and targeted literacy correctness in written English only,moving away from the heterogeneous goals of the course project.PSTs and MLs also faced challenges in navigating technological tools,which negatively affected their perception of the project.Originality/Value This study contributes to heteroglossic approaches in preparatory TESOL teacher education programs and improves the understanding of challenges in educational technology use for global multilingual exchanges to promote global citizenship. 展开更多

Artificial intelligence (AI) has garnered significant interest within the educational domain over the past decade, promising to revolutionise teaching and learning. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of systematic reviews conducted from 2010 to 2023 on the implementation of AI in K-12 education. By synthesising findings from ten selected systematic reviews, this study explores the multifaceted opportunities and challenges posed by AI in education. The analysis reveals several key findings: AI’s potential to personalise learning, enhance student motivation, and improve teaching efficiency are highlighted as major strengths. However, the study also identifies critical concerns, including teacher resistance, high implementation costs, ethical considerations, and the need for extensive teacher training. These findings represent the most significant insights from the analysis, while additional findings further underscore the complexity and scope of AI integration in educational settings. The study employs a SWOT analysis to summarise these insights, identifying key areas for future research and policy development. This review aims to guide educators, policymakers, and researchers in effectively leveraging AI to enhance educational outcomes while addressing its inherent challenges. 展开更多

Objective: To evaluate the suitability of educational videos produced in Brazil that addressed aspects related to prevention and/or management of infant diarrhea according to content;language;graphic illustrations;stimulation for learning/motivation and cultural fit. Method: Documentary study, which evaluated six educational videos from an adapted and validated tool, the Suitability Assessment of Materials. Three nurses evaluated the videos. Data were processed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, version 17.0, and presented in tables and graphics. Results: It was found that 4 (66.6%) of the educational videos were classified as appropriate, ranging from 60% to 63.3% of full approval, and 2 (33.3%) were assessed as higher, reaching up to 83.3% to 90% approval. Considering the socioeconomic and cultural contexts of the videos to the audience, they assigned notes ranging from 6 to 9 in a rating ranging from 0, the minimum score, to 10, the highest score. Conclusion: The educational videos were considered adequate, with positive results about the content on the prevention and management of infant diarrhea, being appropriate for the target audience. As a result, greater credibility is ratified as the use thereof, since these resources can contribute to health promotion and prevention of diarrhea in children. 展开更多

This article is an integrative review to investigate the educational technologies used in health education actions to promote child health. The databases LILACS, MEDLINE, BDENF, PUBMED, CINAHL, and in the Virtual library Cochrane Library and SciELO were consulted. Thirteen articles were analyzed. The educational technologies have been employed to promote child health promotion actions and have contributed to the achievement of long-lasting results. The actions happen predominantly in the school context and light, light-hard and hard technologies are used. The association between light and hard technology obtained better results. 展开更多

As a higher education & training organization previously, CMATC has been serving as the national base for higher continued education and on-the-job training in the meteorological field. The main tasks of CMATC are to pro- mote the training for the administrative staff at middle or higher levels in Chinese meteorological departments, such as the novel and high-level tech- nicians, operational backbones and instructors, and compile the meteorological training materials. On the other hand, a remote education & training system of the meteorological division has been formed and largely improved. Additionally, we concluded that it should be a long-term development process for Chinese social education in meteorological field to entirely integrate into the current international settings. 展开更多

Purpose:By methodologically reviewing the literature on Technology-Assisted Reading Instruction(TARI)for English Language Learners(ELLs)in K-12 settings,this study aims to advance the knowledge of TARI research and guide future research directions.Design/Approach/Methods:This study examines 32 peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2000 and 2020.Each article was analyzed for research objectives,reading skills,learner demographics and contexts,theoretical frameworks,research designs,and outcomes.Findings:A review of the literature reveals a strong focus on evaluating the efficacy of TARI through summative assessments,but limited attention to learners'literacy practices and interactive engagement in digital contexts.Additionally,there is a marked lack of alternative approaches to assessing the effectiveness of technology in promoting ELLs'reading progression and a continued emphasis on developing traditional literacy over multimodal literacy.TARI can enhance reading motivation,foster collaborative learning,provide scaffolding,improve reading performance,andexpand semiotic resources.Originality/Value:As one of the first comprehensive methodological reviews of TARl,this study elucidates ELL reading education in the era of multiliteracy.Results have implications for technology-mediated education,which expanded rapidly during the COVID-19 pandemic. 展开更多
