The motive of these investigations is to provide the importance and significance of the fractional order(FO)derivatives in the nonlinear environmental and economic(NEE)model,i.e.,FO-NEE model. The dynamics of the NEE model achieves more precise by using the form of the FO derivative. The investigations through the non-integer and nonlinear mathematical form to define the FO-NEE model are also provided in this study. The composition of the FO-NEEmodel is classified into three classes, execution cost of control, system competence of industrial elements and a new diagnostics technical exclusion cost. The mathematical FO-NEE system is numerically studied by using the artificial neural networks(ANNs)along with the Levenberg-Marquardt backpropagation method(ANNs-LMBM).Three different cases using the FO derivative have been examined to present the numerical performances of the FO-NEE model. The data is selected to solve the mathematical FO-NEE system is executed as 70%for training and 15%for both testing and certification. The exactness of the proposed ANNs-LMBM is observed through the comparison of the obtained and the Adams-Bashforth-Moulton database results. To ratify the aptitude, validity, constancy, exactness, and competence of the ANNs-LMBM,the numerical replications using the state transitions, regression, correlation, error histograms and mean square error are also described. 展开更多

The main purpose of the study is to present a numerical approach to investigate the numerical performances of the fractional 4-D chaotic financial system using a stochastic procedure. The stochastic procedures mainly depend on the combination of the artificial neural network(ANNs)along with the Levenberg-Marquardt Backpropagation(LMB)i.e.,ANNs-LMB technique. The fractional-order term is defined in the Caputo sense and three cases are solved using the proposed technique for different values of the fractional orderα.The values of the fractional order derivatives to solve the fractional 4-D chaotic financial system are used between 0 and 1.The data proportion is applied as 73%,15%,and 12%for training, testing, and certification to solve the chaotic fractional system. The acquired results are verified through the comparison of the reference solution, which indicates the proposed technique is efficient and robust. The 4-D chaotic model is numerically solved by using the ANNs-LMB technique to reduce the mean square error(MSE).To authenticate the exactness, and consistency of the technique, the obtained performances are plotted in the figures of correlation measures, error histograms, and regressions. From these figures,it can be witnessed that the provided technique is effective for solving such models to give some new insight into the physical behavior of the model. 展开更多

This works intends to provide numerical solutions based on the nonlinear fractional order derivatives of the classical White and Comiskey model(NFD-WCM).The fractional order derivatives have provided authentic and accurate solutions for the NDF-WCM.The solutions of the fractional NFD-WCM are provided using the stochastic computing supervised algorithm named Levenberg-Marquard Backpropagation(LMB)based on neural networks(NNs).This regression approach combines gradient descent and Gauss-Newton iterative methods, which means finding a solution through the sequences of different calculations.WCM is used to demonstrate the heroin epidemics.Heroin has been on-growth world wide, mainly in Asia,Europe, and the USA.It is the fourth foremost cause of death due to taking an overdose in the USA.The nonlinear mathematical system NFD-WCM discusses the overall circumstance of different drug users, such as suspected groups, drug users without treatment, and drug users with treatment. The numerical results of NFD-WCM via LMB-NNs have been substantiated through training, testing, and validation measures. The stability and accuracy are then checked through the statistical tool, such asmean square error(MSE),error histogram, and fitness curves. The suggested methodology’s strength is demonstrated by the high convergence between the reference solutions and the solutions generated by adding the efficacy of a constructed solver LMB-NNs,with accuracy levels ranging from 10?9 to 10?10. 展开更多

The goal of this research is to introduce the simulation studies of the vector-host disease nonlinear system(VHDNS)along with the numerical treatment of artificial neural networks(ANNs)techniques supported by Levenberg-Marquardt backpropagation(LMQBP),known as ANNs-LMQBP.This mechanism is physically appropriate, where the number of infected people is increasing along with the limited health services.Furthermore, the biological effects have fadingmemories and exhibit transition behavior.Initially, the model is developed by considering the two and three categories for the humans and the vector species. The VHDNS is constructed with five classes, susceptible humans Sh(t),infected humans Ih(t),recovered humans Rh(t),infected vectors Iv(t),and susceptible vector Sv(t)based system of the fractional-order nonlinear ordinary differential equations. To solve the number of variations of the VHDNS,the numerical simulations are performed using the stochastic ANNs-LMQBP.The achieved numerical solutions for solving the VHDNS using the stochastic ANNs-LMQBP have been described for training, verifying, and testing data to decrease the mean square error(MSE).An extensive analysis is provided using the correlation studies,MSE,error histograms(EHs),state transitions(STs),and regression to observe the accuracy, efficiency, expertise, and aptitude of the computing ANNs-LMQBP. 展开更多

State of charge(SOC)estimation for lithium ion batteries plays a critical role in battery management systems for electric vehicles.Battery fractional order models(FOMs)which come from frequency-domain modelling have provided a distinct insight into SOC estimation. In this article,we compare five state-of-the-art FOMs in terms of SOC estimation. To this end, firstly, characterisation tests on lithium ion batteries are conducted, and the experimental results are used to identify FOM parameters.Parameter identification results show that increasing the complexity of FOMs cannot always improve accuracy. The model R(RQ)W shows superior identification accuracy than the other four FOMs.Secondly, the SOC estimation based on a fractional order unscented Kalman filter is conducted to compare model accuracy and computational burden under different profiles, memory lengths, ambient temperatures, cells and voltage/current drifts. The evaluation results reveal that the SOC estimation accuracy does not necessarily positively correlate to the complexity of FOMs.Although more complex models can have better robustness against temperature variation,R(RQ),the simplest FOM,can overall provide satisfactory accuracy.Validation results on different cells demonstrate the generalisation ability of FOMs,and R(RQ)outperforms other models. Moreover,R(RQ)shows better robustness against truncation error and can maintain high accuracy even under the occurrence of current or voltage sensor drift. 展开更多

Modeling human operator's dynamics plays a very important role in the manual closed-loop control system, and it is an active research area for several decades. Based on the characteristics of human brain and behavior, a new kind of fractional order mathematical model for human operator in single-input single-output(SISO) systems is proposed. Compared with the traditional models based on the commonly used quasilinear transfer function method or the optimal control theory method, the proposed fractional order model has simpler structure with only few parameters, and each parameter has explicit physical meanings. The actual data and experiment results with the second-order controlled plant illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

According to the fact that the actual inductor and actual capacitor are fractional, the mathematical and state-space averaging models of fractional order Buck converters in continuous conduction mode(CCM) are constructed by using fractional calculus theory. Firstly, the parameter conditions that ensure that the converter working in CCM is given and transfer functions are derived. Also, the inductor current and the output voltage are analyzed. Then the difference between the mathematical model and the circuit model are analyzed, and the effect of fractional order is studied by comparing the integer order with fractional order model. Finally, the dynamic behavior of the current-controlled Buck converter is investigated. Simulation experiments are achieved via the use of Matlab/Simulink. The experimental results verify the correctness of theoretical analysis, the order should be taken as a significant parameter. When the order is taken as a bifurcation parameter, the dynamic behavior of the converter will be affected and bifurcation points will be changed as order varies. 展开更多

This paper proposes a novel unified visco-plastic constitutive model for uniaxial ratcheting behaviors. The cyclic deformation of the material presents remarkable time-dependence and history memory phenomena. The fractional(fractional-order)derivative is an efficient tool for modeling these phenomena. Therefore, we develop a cyclic fractional-order unified visco-plastic(FVP) constitutive model. Specifically, within the framework of the cyclic elasto-plastic theory, the fractional derivative is used to describe the accumulated plastic strain rate and nonlinear kinematic hardening rule based on the Ohno-Abdel-Karim model. Moreover, a new radial return method for the back stress is developed to describe the unclosed hysteresis loops of the stress-strain properly. The capacity of the FVP model used to predict the cyclic deformation of the SS304 stainless steel is verified through a comparison with the corresponding experimental data found in the literature(KANG, G. Z., KAN, Q. H., ZHANG, J., and SUN, Y. F. Timedependent ratcheting experiments of SS304 stainless steel. International Journal of Plasticity, 22(5), 858–894(2006)). The FVP model is shown to be successful in predicting the rate-dependent ratcheting behaviors of the SS304 stainless steel. 展开更多

Some dynamical properties of the current-mode controlled fractional-order Buck- Boost converter are analysed. The simulation is accomplished by using SIMULINK. Numerical simulations are presented to verify the analytical results and we find that bifurcation points will be moved backward as α and β vary. The COVID-19 pandemic is a curse and a threat to global health, development, the economy, and peaceful society because of its massive transmission and high rates of mutation. More than 220 countries have been affected by COVID-19. The world is now facing a drastic situation because of this ongoing virus. Bangladesh is also dealing with this issue, and due to its dense population, it is particularly vulnerable to the spread of COVID-19. Recently, many non-linear systems have been proposed to solve the SIR (Susceptible, Infected, and Recovered) model for predicting Coronavirus cases. In this paper, we have discussed the fractional order SIR epidemic model of a non-fatal disease in a population of a constant size. Using the Laplace Adomian Decomposition method, we get an approximate solution to the model. To predict the dynamic transmission of COVID-19 in Bangladesh, we provide a numerical argument based on real data. We also conducted a comparative analysis among susceptible, infected, and recovered people. Furthermore, the most sensitive parameters for the Basic Reproduction Number (<em>R</em>0) are graphically presented, and the impact of the compartments on the transmission dynamics of the COVID-19 pandemic is thoroughly investigated. 展开更多

The major advantage of grey system theory is that both incomplete information and unclear problems can be processed precisely. Considering that the modeling of grey model(GM) depends on the preprocessing of the original data, the fractional-order accumulation calculus could be used to do preprocessing. In this paper, the residual sequence represented by Fourier series is used to ameliorate performance of the fractionalorder accumulation GM(1,1) and improve the accuracy of predictor. The state space model of optimally modified GM(1,1)predictor is given and genetic algorithm(GA) is used to find the smallest relative error during the modeling step. Furthermore, the fractional form of continuous GM(1,1) is given to enlarge the content of prediction model. The simulation results illustrated that the fractional-order calculus could be used to depict the GM precisely with more degrees of freedom. Meanwhile, the ranges of the parameters and model application could be enlarged with better performance. The method of modified GM predictor using optimal fractional-order accumulation calculus is expected to be widely used in data processing, model theory, prediction control and related fields. 展开更多

A fractional-order Maxwell model is used to describe the viscoelastic seabed mud. The experimental data of the real mud well fit the results of the fractional-order Maxwell model that has fewer parameters than the traditional model. The model is then used to investigate the effect of the mud on the surface-wave damping. The damping rate of a linear monochromatic wave is obtained. The elastic resonance of the mud layer is observed, which leads to the peaks in the damping rate. The damping rate is a sum of the modal damping rates, which indicates the wave damping induced by the mud motion of particular modes. The analysis shows that near the resonance, the total damping rate is dominated by the damping rate of the corresponding mode. 展开更多

Many constitutive models exist to characterise the cyclic behaviour of granular soils but can only simulate deformations for very limited cycles. Fractional derivatives have been regarded as one potential instrument for modelling memory-dependent phenomena. In this paper, the physical connection between the fractional derivative order and the fractal dimension of granular soils is investigated in detail. Then a modified elasto-plastic constitutive model is proposed for evaluating the long-term deformation of granular soils under cyclic loading by incorporating the concept of fac- tional calculus. Accurate and reasonable prediction of industrial electricity consumption is of great significance for promoting regional green transformation and optimizing the energy structure. However, the regional power system is complicated and uncertain, affected by multiple factors including climate, population and economy. This paper incorporates structure expansion, parameter optimization and rolling mechanism into a system forecasting framework, and designs a novel rolling and fractional-ordered grey system model to forecast the industrial electricity consumption, improving the accuracy of the traditional grey models. The optimal fractional order is obtained by using the particle swarm optimization algorithm, which enhances the model adaptability. Then, the proposed model is employed to forecast and analyze the changing trend of industrial electricity consumption in Fujian province.Experimental results show that industrial electricity consumption in Fujian will maintain an upward growth and it is expected to 186.312 billion kWh in 2026.Compared with other seven benchmark prediction models, the proposed grey system model performs best in terms of both simulation and prediction performance metrics, providing scientific reference for regional energy planning and electricity market operation. 展开更多
